Hotel Complex Zara Bansko in Bansko

The first room we were given reeked, you couldn't stay more than 30 seconds in there with the windows closed and the hotel manager treated us like we were crazy telling us that it is the best room in the hotel and he is staying there when it is available. Don't stay in room 1202. The breakfast is the same every day and the pancakes are always undercooked. Dinner is pretty divers, they try their best to make a pretty well rounded menu, but it is not the best. We wanted to throw my father a party, talked to the ladies at the reception and we got the answer from the manager after we inquired a second time. The answer was that we could have the celebration in the restaurant, with 20 people max (we were a group of about 30 people), the alcohol fee would be 20€ per person without the beverages included and the cake would be 50€. We decided to have a smaller get togather in our room, but due to the thin walls, one of the other guests came to us at about 8:30 pm to ask us to be quiet so they could rest (they were at the oposite end of the hallway). One of the shuttle bus drivers wasn't paying that much attention during the short ride to the gondola and hit a few cars. The distance from the hotel to the city center was quite big so we mostly stayed in the room after we came from the slopes or dinner. It wasn't a pleasant experience overall, would not recommend. We have been comming in Bansko for at least 6 years, but never stayed in such a bad place.

WARNING‼️ Hotel not like described. Very dirty and hazardous! We checked into the room and the toilet was making constant noise, after complaining we thankfully got a new room. The pool was not included in the price although on the website the pool and spa are mentioned separately and in the description it says only the spa costs extra, this is not the case! We decided to purchase a day pass for breakfast, swimming pool and spa for 60 Leva. Which was a big waste of money! First of all the breakfast was disgusting, very little options and the worst coffee and juice I've had in a Hotel. Second, the spa was a big disappointment. The tiles are loose, the wood is rotten and electrical wires hanging loose inside the pool. Also the pools are dirty with sand on the bottom and broken/loose tiles everywhere. Third, the cleaners don't do their job well, the first time we were still in the room when she tried to enter and we said don't come in. After that we hung the sign on the door to get our room refreshed with new towels and sheets. The only thing she cleaned was 1 bottle and she took out the trashcan, no new towels or sheets... Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel!!!

WARNING 🛑 Big scam! Fake description with clear lies! 1- There is no wellness included in the price! 2- no gym or fitness center just a small store room for two completely damaged machines! 3- the most important! Extremely bad tread, rude and arrogant supervisors and managers and if you try to look for your rights they’ll try to kick you on the street and 100% no refund! they even dared to call us to threaten us over the phone!

My impressions were good at first until I arrived, then I start the day there without hygiene, without shampoo, without many necessary items that every cheaper hotel has, for 2 days the room was not cleaned, the children played continuously and at the end they want to bill us for a part which according to them the children smeared, which we cleaned ourselves with water, then the responsible staff accused us that we took the towels, I do not recommend this hotel at all, the food is not good at all 0000 !!!
