Th hotel is cleaned and not too far from tourist attractions sites. Room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Do not pay for breakfast at the facility. It is a rip-off. The fruits and cheeses are not fresh. It appreaed that there were stored for days. Scrambled eggs is cold and tasteless. Not much varieties to choose from. The only thing fresh on the menue were tomatoes and cucumber. There are several cafés and restaurants in the surroundings that serve great breakfasts.

As noted above, I was not happy with the breakfast. Since I had paid in advance for breakfast, after the first day I requested a refund following my complaint. At check out, management appologized for the snafu along with the chef. I also received my full refund. Hence, I change my 3 start review to 4* and I applaude their acknowledgment that changes will take place.

Close to pedestrianised street with plenty of cafes and bars. Metro close by also. Both location and rooms were top notch. Bar closed early so couldnt even get a sandwich as I arrived at 23.00hrs. But had a lovely time.

Pros: Location is in the heart of Sofia. Rooms are old school, classy and maintainted. Breakfast was good
Cons: Terrible room service, didn't have slipers when first entering the room and then when ordering the slippers via the phone, the hostes had me come to the reception to get them.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Downtown! I spent three days there and was very impressed with the staff – friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was rich and varied. The location is fantastic – just steps away from the National Palace of Culture (NDK) and perfect for exploring the city center. A great place to relax – I’d definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

The hotel’s location is good, but that’s about it. Our room was dirty when we arrived. A cleaner came by, and we asked her to return in 10 minutes, but she never came back.
Breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had — very limited choices, and the coffee machine was out of order for both days of our stay. When items ran out, like the eggs, they only started cooking more after that, so we had to wait 30 minutes for a new batch.
The staff didn’t seem to care at all.

I chose this hotel for the proximity to the center, but actually is not that close, 15 min waliking. The rooms are outdated, the AC is very old not a good experience . Very extpensive for the offere.

Good location. The rooms would need to be upgraded and they should take care of some things like changing the curtains who are dirty and the carpets in the rooms
Generally the should pay attention more in the cleanliness.
I asked 3 times for having a shower gel and shampoo because they were empty in my room and they ignore me and I had a cup of coffee and nobody remove the 3 days in my stay.
One more basic problem that needs to be improved is the breakfast.

Shame! The place is disgusting! There are hairs on the beds, there is mold in the bathtub, the toilet is cracked, the service guys look scary, they are rude, and inhospitable. The food is non edible, it's cold and it stinks. The water smells like chlorine and even glasses are dirty! There was a litetal carrot peel in there! Simply unacceptable! Don't go there for your own good!
