The hotel is located about 500 m from Xinzha Road MRT Station (Line 1, Red Line), Exit 6. There are not many shops or attractions immediately around the hotel. Dining options require about a 500 m walk.
The staff members were friendly and helpful and they could speak English.
The hotel appears to have been refurbished. We booked a larger room, which was spacious and comfortable. The room furnishings did not look old, unlike what some earlier reviews had mentioned.

We had a traumatic time at this hotel with our group and it is fair to say that a number of us will never go back to China again after our stay here. One member of our group accidentally caused damage to the property, and the hotel staff and their 'affiliates' trumped up additional and imaginary damages to extort money from us! We paid an equivalent of USD $ 13000 for plasterboard damage, after we were threatened and bullied. Their staff stood in front of our bus, even after we showed them the receipt of transfer of the money, and shouted that they will only let us leave if they see the (extortion) money in their bank account! There were also escorts/ prostitutes roaming around the hotel corridors, leaving their 'name cards' at our doors during our stay.
