Hotel Indigo SHANGHAI ON THE BUND by IHG in Shanghai

The room was very clean and tidy, and the location was super convenient for getting around. It was a really comfortable stay. The service was warm and attentive, especially Lven Qiu, whose service attitude was excellent. Highly recommend!

The river view room at this hotel offers an excellent view, overlooking the Huangpu River and the towering skyscrapers of Lujiazui right before your eyes. The room has a touch of Chinese style, which adds a lot of charm.

The location and overall environment of the Indigo Hotel are great.

Breakfast might be the only drawback. It's not as extensive as other five-star hotels; the buffet area is quite small and not particularly varied. While they do have essentials like bread and noodles, it doesn't quite feel like a proper breakfast buffet – more like a regular Western restaurant temporarily set up for breakfast.

You can certainly get enough to eat, but it doesn't offer great value for money.

Excellent! I love Hotel Indigo, and if I recall correctly, this particular one used to cost over 2,000 [currency unit] per night. It's a good thing the economic downturn has made it more affordable for us. It's right by the Bund, but not on Nanjing East Road, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The view from the 30th-floor bar is unbeatable, making you feel like you're in New York. The breakfast service is also exceptional; the coffee made by the staff is fantastic—both invigorating and rich, and the waffles are absolutely divine, crispy with a not-too-sweet cream.

Very comfortable stay at the hotel indigo in Shanghai great location right on the river with a fantastic bar at the top of the building with the best view you could ask for, looking forward to an upgrade of the venue itself, it's got potential for a great upscale lounge vibe. The staff are very eager to help, and speak good english. The rooms are spacious and the best thing about Indigo on the bund is it's location and view of Shanghai's iconic river.

First time staying here. Overall, the hotel service was great, but breakfast was a bit mediocre. The air conditioning in the room had a slight noise, and the automatic light in the changing room had an issue, turning on once in the middle of the night while I was sleeping.

Loved the hotel, our room was great could see the whole harbour. Special thanks to Rita who looked after us in the dinning and business centre.

Stayed at the Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund during the May Day holiday, and overall it was a good experience. The hotel is located right on the Huangpu River, offering pleasant views, and the transportation is quite convenient. A evening stroll along the river is very comfortable, and the night views are stunning. While the facilities are a bit dated, the service is warm and attentive. A special shout-out to the front desk staff, who provided excellent service. Had a great stay, highly recommend!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the river, and the public areas of various restaurants, especially the rooftop bar, offer stunning views of the Huangpu River, making it a great spot for photos. However, the hotel facilities are quite old and the lighting is dim. There didn't seem to be many staff members; upon arrival, there was no bellboy at the entrance. We later found out the bellboy was out delivering luggage, and there was no security personnel to guide us, which was a bit inconvenient. Despite this, the lobby staff immediately noticed us, came over to help with our luggage, and greeted us warmly. When the bellboy returned, he also proactively helped us with our luggage and took it to our room. During our stay, there was some construction within the hotel, but the front desk staff kindly asked about our travel plans and arranged a room for us on a floor far from the construction area, so it didn't affect us at all – that was very thoughtful. Even though there were fewer staff members, their attitude and warmth were definitely present, which is commendable, and I give it a full five stars. As a consumer, I'd like to offer one small suggestion: it would be even better if there were more staff available.

We loved staying at the hotel indigo and will return when we visit Shanghai again. The views from the bar are a sight to behold not to mention the view from the room itself which was a Panoramic view of the bund. The staff were helpful and attentive and the rooms were spacious and clean. I booked buffet breakfast with the room and was surprised by the sheer variety on offer! From dim sum to eggs and bacon to congee! There was so much to choose from.
It was our first trip to mainland China and it will not be the last thanks to the hospitality of the Chinese people and the beautiful sights, sounds and food.

I looked at many Bund hotels, and this one has an excellent location, right by the river, directly facing the 'Three-Piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline). The night view, whether from the room or the rooftop terrace, is absolutely stunning! The breakfast restaurant on the sixth floor also has a fantastic view, highly recommended!
