My dad often stays at the Shihe Hotel when he comes to Shanghai from Hangzhou for medical treatment, as it's convenient for visiting the Ninth People's Hospital. Downstairs, there are various restaurants, as well as Tims Coffee and Luckin Coffee.

The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, and check-in and check-out were both quick. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel seems a bit old and the facilities are a little basic, but the cleanliness was acceptable. If the price had been under 400, it would have been okay, but I paid over 500 when I booked, so I don't feel it was very good value for money.

The location is super convenient! There's a FamilyMart and KFC right across the street, plus lots of other shops. Getting around is easy too, as it's close to the subway station.

The room was adequate, but despite being next to a hospital, there was no wheelchair accessible. Guests with special needs always needed assistance from the security guard at the entrance to get up the stairs – the security guards deserve praise. Food delivery wasn't allowed upstairs, and the front desk couldn't help with that either. If you don't offer four-star service, don't impose so-called "high-class" rules. Not allowing delivery drivers upstairs is inconvenient, especially since the elevators don't require card access, creating unnecessary trouble for hotel guests and lacking any sense of security.
The housekeeping was extremely perfunctory, like squeezing toothpaste – they just did the bare minimum without being asked.
There was no laundry room, lacking the amenities expected of a hotel of this star rating.

The environment is nice and clean, and the rooms are quite spacious.

Let me list a few points:
First: I called the front desk four times around 12:00 AM, trying to borrow a charger, but no one answered or called back‼️ (I called again the next morning and someone finally picked up, telling me they didn't have chargers at the front desk and I'd need to borrow a power bank myself.)
Second: The water in the shower was constantly fluctuating between scalding hot and cold. It was dangerously hot at times.❗️
Third: I always thought check-out was at 2:00 PM, but then I got a call saying I had to check out immediately. I asked if I could have a little more time to pack, and they said no, I had to leave as quickly as possible. In short, the attitude was quite firm.
Fourth: After I checked out, my food delivery arrived. I was eating my lunch in the lobby because the hotel didn't have a restaurant on the first floor. The front desk told me the restaurant was all private rooms, and there wasn't a restroom available down there either 🫨 So I was eating my takeout in the lobby seating area. Halfway through, a security guard told me I couldn't eat in the lobby because of the smell, and suggested I book one of their private rooms to eat in 🥹 My goodness, that's just ridiculous 🥹
Fifth (Correction to original 'Fourth'): There's no robot delivery service‼️ You have to go down to pick up your food delivery yourself. This is a crucial point, and the pickup locker is even located outside the hotel, so you get cold from the wind if you don't grab it right away.
Sixth (Correction to original 'Fifth'): The soundproofing here is mediocre.
Seventh (Correction to original 'Sixth'): You don't need a key card to go up the elevator, which feels like a security flaw.

This hotel is really close to Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, but it's super inconvenient that they don't allow food delivery up to the rooms, and there's no robot delivery service. The hygiene is decent, and the location is good, but the overall facilities are pretty basic.
