My travel partner slipped on ice and broke their arm. The hotel was very helpful in navigating emergency care, medical resources, and providing us with the support (to go meals) throughout the stay

They made special arrangements so that my travel partner was able to see the aurora after the injury. They also helped with travel insurance claim afterwards

Other than the injury, I’ve had an absolutely amazing experience with Star Arctic hotel. The staff are super welcoming and helpful, even when I’m asking silly and basic questions

Breakfast was generous, offering a good spread to suit most tastes, and the in-house restaurant shares the same incredible view. We dined there one evening and tried the Fried Arctic Char and the Reindeer Top Roast

Food is really nice, delicious and with a good variety throughout our stay. Rooms are clean and comfy, I loved the sauna especially. Even just staying there is a blessing

It's good. Not a big deal tho, but it's prefect for short stayings in Leppävaara, such as friends or relatives visiting during the Erasmus exchange.

Plus the grounds were so enjoyable and peaceful with multiple things to do. There is a free shuttle bus that we utilized once, the timing of the schedule didn’t really help us out all that much

We were a little worried about staying further out from the main “downtown” and the Ubers do add up but honestly it was a wash with what we saved on breakfast and dinner being included

Nice staff and nice room. Bathroom needs updating - loo seat broken and shower head wouldn't stay hanging on the wall plus shower drain blocked so water flooded the bathroom

Went to see Santa, excellent, grandchildren had a fantastic time (big kids too) plenty to do. Great experience

There are good amenities like table tennis and outdoor activities. Atmosphere was present in the in-house restaurant, Kotva. Great views, attentive service - but I don't like eating in the candle lit dark

Peacefull stay in good location. Crosscountry skiing possibilities are the best in area. Comfort slopes starting snowboarding.

Breakfast was good but not grand, I think 28eur for it is "ok" if you think about the location, but not the content. The room was dubbed "deluxe" but I would say it was basic, clean and nice

View to the valley was fantastic. Fancy soapware, tea kettle, hairdryer and non-smart tv were the only amenities in the room. For usb charging you'd need a charger. Room had newish beds that were really great

Dinner what 163eur for two (starters,mains,dessert, 1 beverage each) I would say this was (for me) in the expensive side for a single nighter. Its almost off-season and was not crowded

Upstairs guest's toilet activities could be heard very well, same goes for the hallway activities. So, in over all if the room was 76eur, it was "upgraded" and breakfast was 28eur

There was a few vegetarian and vegan options and everything was delicious, You can also order from the menu which also features vegan options. Service is great and it is ideally located in the heart of Saimaa lake

We ate at the restaurant for lunch and it was great ! Lunch buffet is quite cheap (14€ during the week) : several salad and warm meals choices. Coffee and fruit salad included

We stayed for one night in August, in the basic cottage. Cottage was not perhaps the most luxurious as such but still more than enough for our purposes

Location is nice, very easy access from the highway and one could also reach this place via railway. Walking distance to the famous Punkaharju Ridge

Lunch was alright and varied nicely between days. Nothing spectacular, but if you have a cottage nearby it's the most "value for your money" -lunch

It's in a lovely place and the restaurant is good, but hotel itself is nothing special. The atmosphere was a bit strange, the hotel is overpriced even for Oulu.

Their house is a beautiful mansion immersed in one of the immense Finnish forests close to Saimaa lake, but it is easily reachable thanks to the adjacent railroad and the highway, just 10 minutes from the city center of Lappeenranta

The sauna was perfect, the little pool was clean as well. It‘s very quiet, a little bit outside of the main city. The owners are the most friendly people. The sauna got prepared for us, we didn‘t have to do anything

Even coal and firestarters for the barbecue have been prepared. A small rowing boat is available for rent as well. If you‘re looking for a quiet place in Lappeenranta, Salpalinjan Hovi is the place to be

My whole family visited Lappeenranta and all stayed at Salpanlinjan Hovi. 5 year old toddler upfront via telephone was not a problem. The rooms are really nicely renovated and very clean

We visited Salpalinjan Hovi in May and were given a tour of the Salpa Line sights by Anne. She was very knowledgable and friedly. Styled very nicely and with plenty of character

A lovely place full of authentic handmade items crafted from natural materials. You can even see the artisan working through a window into the workshop which makes the experience even more unique

Besides the stay they also have a charming shop that offers beautifully handcrafted items, from cozy beanies to unique home decor. The quality is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable

Lauri is a true hidden gem in Rovaniemi. I and my friends stayed in the beautiful historical loghouse which was perfect for our group of 4, (cozy spacious and full of character)

It made our trip feel really special! Also, the location is ideal as it is just a short walk to the city centre and the museum. The accommodation has also a small souvenir shop on the ground floor

On the other hand, the store is very cozy and has very good quality handmade products

We stopped here for a night on our eay home from a ski holiday. Our family room for 5 was perfect. the kitchen/dining was useful as we got a local takeaway for dinner and thanks for leaving us coffee etc

lavish and luxurious breakfast. all day free coffee/juice and snacks in the lobby. the breakfast is even better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in the Nordic region. the photos speak fke themselves

200 meters from the station so the best choice if you plan to arrive or depart by train. a comfortable and memorable experience. front desk people are awesome and helpful

the Sauna is a blessing in Finland hotels if they have one. I enjoyed it after a long time and didn't know they provided one within my room

There are five double villas called Saimaavillas (Saimaa Villas) there. These villas were erected in 2023. So they look almost brand new

There is a lovely walking trail from Elsanranta to the main building through a historical watermill area with small rapids. You may also use free bikes or a rowing boat when you go from Elsanranta to the main building

Lovely resort about 10 mins drive from puumala town. Lakeside view is beautiful, restaurant was surpsingly good using fresh, local ingredients paired with wine. Loved our stay here.

Every villa has a large bedroom, a bathroom, an own electric sauna (Harvia Instant Heat Sauna Stove) and a large terrace. You have lake view both from the bed, from the terrace and even from the sauna

You also find a Jura coffee machine with coffee beans from a rewarded small coffee roastery named Lehmus, a B&O speaker (a Bluetooth speaker), a Samsung Smart TV, a mini bar, a hairdryer, a garment steamer, a flower vase and two large umbrellas in every villa

The nearest other cottages are located 300 meters from Elsanranta and the distance to the main building (the reception, the breakfast room, Cafe Elsa and Restaurant Koskivahti) is about 400 meters

They have a nice staff and a really good breakfast buffet that is way above average, with a large selection including healthy food. I enjoyed my stay and I would definetely go here again if I ever visit Turku again

I stayed here for two nights late July, the room was clean, tidy and the breakfast was soooo good! Staff were kind and friendly and didn't hesitate to patiently help us with our booking

The hotel is within walking distance to the railway station and close to most attractions. The staff is friendly. However, there's no kettle in the room for coffee or tea.

The breakfast was also good to have as food prices are a little high in general across Finland (particularly for some foreign currency exchanges). The hotel itself though - including the rooms - is outdated

They also left my luggage there after I checked out. Since my return night train was at 9pm, I was allowed to wait at the hotel for a while after sightseeing. The breakfast was also very good

We were expecting -20°C, but it was unexpectedly warm at 1°C on the day, and we were blessed with good weather and got to see the Northern Lights – it was absolutely breathtaking! The lamb at the Christmas dinner was also very tender and delicious

This year was supposedly the best aurora viewing year in 11 years, so I hope I can go again in another 11 years

The hotel is not far from the central train station and from the hotel it’s easy to get to anywhere. The room is adequate and the bed is really comfortable with Finnish furniture. I will definite stay here again!

The supermarket and tram stop were conveniently close. However, I had trouble using the shared kitchen, especially the induction cooktop. I tried everything, but couldn't figure it out in the end

It's about a 30 minute walk into Ivalo village where there are a couple of supermarkets and places to eat lunch. Dinner though is best eaten in the restaurant at the holiday centre. Especially if you like Reindeer stew
