This hotel shows its age a bit. It's acceptable for a one-night stay. The location is pretty good, and the breakfast is quite decent.

The staff on reception were very helpful, breakfast was very good, and the bar served a great Finnish beer, but it was not open late

Very convenience. Walking distance to train station. The breakfast is buffet and variety. The room clean. Very friendly staff and the most important with luggage storage area. Convenience for those arrived early.

Staff are helpful. Breakfast is good. Hotel is near Central Railway Station which connects to Airport Near Metro and tram and bus stops

Not to be confused with the Art Deco train station.   Finally, a visit to Suomenlinna (zone AB tap & go) is recommended along with Senate Square/the Cathedral & the Russian Cathedral

The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very cozy. You can also find many supermarkets around you and a 24 hour one in case you forgot something. Not to mention it is only 2 minutes away from the metro

Transportation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 30-second walk from the hotel entrance, bus 600 directly to HEL Airport. 90-second walk to the tram and M1/M2 metro stations right outside, easy to navigate Helsinki city center

It also had 2 jacuzzis, a steam room and a sauna which was wonderful after a long day of exploring Helsinki. There was a metro and tram station right outside and a Lidl and kmart right next to it

The staff were helpful when needed and we could store our luggage free of charge before and after check out in a secure space

The amenities in this studio were fabulous, great kitchen area and bathroom including a washing machine and laundry pods

We had an amazing stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Really lovely hotel, our room wasn't very spacious but we didn't mind. The bath robes were a tad small in size. But everything else was spot on.

A very historic hotel, located in the city center, very convenient for shopping and sightseeing. It is not far from the pier of Suomenlinna, which can be reached in 15 minutes on foot. It is worth staying!

Quick sunmer holiday in Kuopio Hotel staff was super nice and helpfull on every encounter, they gave us travel tips, small room upgrade and so on. Parking was super easy and pricing reasonable

There were few quirks though: -to access breakfast space, one has to go to basement, take underground corridor under public road and then resurface on different building, quirky but not bad

Effective charging place, over 100 kWh, for electric car is missing. There is only 22 kWh place. Location is good.

Very small airport and limited capacity with crystal bringing so many people in a small time frame put a strain on the airport. That said all the airport staff were very helpful and friendly

Amazing and affordable stay tucked in Hakaniemi. Location is good as it is close to Hakaniemi train station. There’s a McDonalds nearby and mini market

The hotel's location is very convenient. The room didn't have a microwave or a kettle, but it did have a mini-fridge for drinks. The trash can was a bit small. I'd consider this hotel again for a short trip.

The hotel boasts of an excellent location, being close to all major city attractions, having great links either directly (virtually on its doorstep) or indirectly (through the main rail station) to everywhere

There was a large heated drying cabinet for your ski gear and a good sized sauna and shower. Beds were comfy enough for a week, could do with better pillows ideally

Check in/out was easy - we were sent a code for the door. This code also grants access to the building and ski lockers. Ski lockers were on bottom floor and had enough room for about 4 sets, but not your boots or helmets

Clean, enough kitchen essentials to see us through the week and cook for ourselves. Kids were happy we were right by the ice slide this year. Kitchen space is a bit snug but didn’t stop us in any way

Location was excellent with metro and huge shopping mall. Very little talk, quiet, no smiles. Rooms were new but cleaning services were " so-so". However maybe the best one around that area

Mid-range old hotel We visited on 7. The hotel is old and does not meet the requirements of a four-star hotel. The corridors have carpet and the walls are old and in poor condition. There is only soap in the shower room

It was just a 10 minute bus ride from airport to hotel

Food is OK but service is very slow (took about an hour to receive my order). Luckily I did not have to pay because the buffet at the hotel was closed, but I would have been angry to pay those prices

Fantastic for ctoss country skiing. Traclks start straiaght from the doorstep and are very welll maintained. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Pitty the restaurant wasn't open in rhe evening

A nice hotel with good breakfast. My family of 4 adults were enjoyed our 2N stayed there. However, there are rooms for improvement on the room door key system and the lift

The room is spacious, including attachments private sauna room which is inside the toilet. We have to preheat the room for about 40 minutes prior to enjoy the sauna

There are some shopping center and super market near the hotel within 10 to 15 minutes walk depending your foot power

They are too old and inconvenient to use in today’s environment. Even thot it is functionally working. The door is hard to open and closed with the key, where the cards system will be a better choice

This is due to the “pumping” nightclubs nearby that play deafening music to assorted teen and post-teen revelers until 4am. During the daytime at the time of writing there is also construction across the street

As there is a strict time when the music stops, hardly any issue about disturbances

Update: Thanks Tuomas for the nice reply. Although the rooms are really nice and the staff pleasant, if you stay on a room on the Yrjönkatu street side during the weekend, then be prepared to suffer no sleep

Visited just to use the toilets on the top floor as had heard they had stunning views. They didn't disappoint although I really hope the glass is one way 😂

Especially considering the cost and how the hotel presents itself as excellent, the overall experience was underwhelming to say the least. The room did not feel very clean, some areas had dust

And to make matters worse, the hotel did not offer slippers. This is the first time I have stayed at a hotel that didn't offer complimentary slippers

Labels for lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan were there, but left to the side, the staff couldn't be bothered to place labels clearly next to each food item they referred to, leaving guests to do the guess work

I couldn't see anyone for a long time, until finally a kitchen staff came over to refill food items. He indicated to me the items that were vegan and also pointed out that one of the porridges had cow milk in it

Great breakfast and a clean room. The room needs updating, but we chose this hotel for the perfect location. This is a good city vacation hotel choice if you are spending your time mostly outside the room

The layout of the hotel is a bit funny, because of extensions. Breakfast is good as with all Scandic-hotels. They also have saunas (separate ones for men & women)

Kouvola is a small city, so during week the street will be quiet, although on weekends people going/coming to/from bars may be loud. So, rooms on street side could be noisy

Value for money The hotel was better than expected considering the low price. Rooms are small but clean and in good condition. Refrigerator and kettle provided. It was a good base for touring the area

The single rooms are spacious. Reception in English was available all the time. Very cooperative and friendly. Expect the breakfast is not allowed to take away. They have very limited vegan and vegetarian options.
