We stayed at the Georgia Palace Hotel & Spa in Kobuleti (24.06-30.06). Our impressions were mixed.
On the plus side, I’d like to mention the excellent work of the housekeeping staff. The room was thoroughly cleaned every day, the bed linen and towels were changed regularly, and the room was always clean and pleasant. I’d also like to thank the staff by the pool – they were very polite, attentive and friendly. We also liked the hotel grounds: a beautiful, well-tended garden where it was lovely to spend time.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few downsides. The reception staff were rude and unfriendly, which is completely at odds with the standard of a five-star hotel. The breakfasts were very disappointing: the selection was meagre, the choice limited, and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The waffles and pancakes were tough, almost rubbery.
I was particularly surprised that coffee was charged as an extra. I’ve stayed in many five-star hotels, and everywhere else coffee, as well as drinks at the bar during breakfast, were included in the room rate. For a hotel of this standard, this seems very strange.
Overall, it gives the impression that the hotel does not live up to its claimed 5-star rating. In my view, it is a good, but solid, 3-star hotel. It’s a real shame, because the hotel has beautiful grounds and great potential, but the service and food need serious improvement.

This has been the worst experience I had during my three week vacation to Georgia. I worked in hospitality myself but what they displayed was underwhelming. We got harassed and payed money for it. Don’t go here.

The breakfast was average. I was surprised that a 5-star hotel didn't include espresso with breakfast—if you want an espresso, you have to pay extra.

We had a wonderful stay at the Georgian Palace Hotel in Kobuleti. The location is perfect right by the beach with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering all the comfort you need. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help, making us feel truly welcomed. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the Black Sea we will definitely be coming back! Thank you

Liked: - The hotel itself is good and beautiful. - Rooms are large and cozy. - The restaurant is high-level, with tasty and varied dishes. Did not like: - The beach is poor; boats and jet skis constantly move near the buoys, sometimes entering the swimming area. - Swimming came with the smell of gasoline. - Catamarans from the public beach swam near people and ignored remarks. - Beach security is ineffective and unable to solve issues — problems need higher-level decisions. - The owner should ensure watercraft are kept in a separate, fenced-off zone. - No pontoon for entering the sea; walking over pebbles is unpleasant, and elderly guests often needed assistance entering the water.

I’ve been coming to this hotel for many years, and it never disappoints. Beautiful, well-kept grounds, excellent service, and friendly, attentive staff make every stay special. Live music in the evenings adds a charming touch, and the hotel consistently maintains a high standard with thoughtful details that make guests feel truly welcome.
