Reviews
Good location with supermarket and near the castle w only minutes driving
Managed to catch snow in the walking street. Reception was warma and helpful. Accomodate our garage arrangment without prior information.
When we come back to Füssen, we'll surely stay here.
The hotel’s location is ideal for those looking to explore this charming town; it serves as a superb starting point for leisurely strolls through Füssen. The city’s compact size allows visitors to fully appreciate its allure within a day, immersing themselves in its rich history and picturesque streets.
Füssen exudes an authentic German charm, characterized by its quaint architecture and welcoming locals. The nearby Gothic castle, Hohes Schloss, enhances the town's enchanting atmosphere, while the regional art museum showcases the area’s vibrant cultural scene.
However, I did encounter a few challenges during my stay. The parking situation at the hotel is quite tight, which can make it difficult to maneuver larger vehicles. Additionally, I found that the payment process was somewhat inconvenient; I was unable to complete my payment during the booking and was required to settle the bill upon arrival.
Moreover, one of the more disappointing aspects of our trip was the limited dining options for halal cuisine. There was only one halal restaurant in proximity to the hotel, and unfortunately, the staff there were not very accommodating and had difficulty communicating in English. This made for a less enjoyable dining experience, particularly for those seeking specific dietary options.
Despite these drawbacks, the hotel itself provides an exceptional base for discovering the captivating essence of Füssen. Whether you’re drawn to history, art, or simply wish to savor the stunning landscapes, the town offers a delightful array of experiences. Overall, Hotel Sonne remains a unique destination, but potential guests may want to consider their parking and dining preferences ahead of time.
