Description

Leonardo Boutique Hotel in Munich is a 4-star property constructed in 1958 and renovated in 2010, offering a mix of Comfort and Deluxe Double and Single rooms. The hotel features WiFi, parking, luggage storage, room service, a bar, and laundry facilities. Guest reviews highlight its central location, friendly staff, and clean rooms, though many note the rooms are quite small with bathrooms described as 'snug' or cramped. Breakfast is served as a Western buffet from 6:30 to 10:30 daily and receives positive remarks for quality and staff service. Pet accommodation is available upon request with an additional fee. This hotel is great! Near everything. Comfy beds. Clean rooms. Bathroom snug, but was fine. Staff are lovely. The sweets and coffee at reception is a lovely little extra. Met other lovely guests too. Think this hotel was an old cinema, which explains quirky layouts, but it’s charming and cute! We had a great time here and will stay again when back in Munich.

Place is fine if all you want to do is put your head down, rest your feet, maybe shower briefly and get on your way. WiFi as is so often the case, terrible. Might as well not advertise it. Bring your own data. Rooms are “efficient”. The use of space in each room allows just a bit of space for a human to move freely. But if your needs are simple, it could work. Could be cheaper if you ask me but my bet is the market drives that more than ergonomics.

This hotel was a major letdown. The entire property is extremely old and clearly neglected. The room had a strong, musty odor—likely due to mold—which made it feel unhealthy and hard to spend time in. The condition of the bedding was unacceptable, with sheets that had holes in them, adding to the overall sense of poor hygiene.

The room and hallway were both full of visible wear and tear—scratches on walls, damaged fixtures, and a general feeling of decay. On top of that, construction in the garden began at 6 AM on a weekend, making it absolutely impossible to rest or enjoy any peace.

This is not a place I would recommend. Until serious renovations and improvements are made, I’d advise looking elsewhere.

Its a good hotel. However, I would not say that the staff is super cooperative. They denied me service when I requested them if I could get my food warmed up. I paid around 100 euros incl. taxes for my small single comfort room for one night (less than 12 hours) and it didn’t even have a dental kit. I had to personally request for one.

Very centrally located. And with a direct bus connection to the main train station. Generally very clean. However, the hotel could definitely use a renovation. The facilities were fine, but very dated.

Business travel to Munich, staying at the Leonardo Boutique. I found the rooms small but sufficient and nicely appointed. Location is good for the old town. Minor gripe is they don't offer hair conditioner in the shower, just a hair and body wash combo. If you use hair conditioner, you'll need to go out and buy some.

For a solo traveler - the room was great ! Bed and pillows were comfy, room was very clean in a nice quiet area. The walk to old town is lovely and fairly quick, same to the parks and train stations. The bathrooms are extremely small - I am a fairly small person and can barely squeeze into the shower. The toilet and sink block the door from opening fully so it's a tight fit, but for someone just needing a room it worked out fine. Breakfast is fantastic, and there was a safe in my room which was great! I would say for one person it was convenient, for more than one it will likely be too small! Also their room keys stop working if it comes near your phone, so I got locked out a couple of times which wasn't the best, but reception is very helpful and can get you a new one fast!

It's an old hotel with extremely small rooms. I couldn't bear to stay more than one night.

I stayed in this hotel only one night.

The room was quite outdated and small and overal the look of it was not so appealing.

The breakfast was not bad and it was enough.

The location is quite good.

I understand that not all hotels must be fancy and new, but I really don’t think it deserves more than 3 stars.
