Receptionist was unfriendly and started swearing in German under her breath.
Got given a double when I booked a king.
Room was very clean all be it a little dated.
Harribo on the bed was a nice surprise if you have kids, but not sure this is a kids hotel.
Windows open all the way for nice bit of fresh air.
Can feel the rumble of the tram going past. Wasn't the easiest hotel either.
Update: the receptionist the next day was much nicer.

I used to stay in this hotel, in the past.
This time was different, big dissapointment..
1. At the check-out Mrs. Eugenia refused to tell me her name or the manager name. She was very, very rude.
I asked her to issue my invoice, I needed an invoice for my company, but, before I was handling her my company coordinates, she has already printed the invoice.
Then she started to rise the voice and shes' s been very unpolite and rude.
I asked her to revise the invoic, she insisted that I should come in the morning ( I was leaving early, at 6 a.m) for the revised invoice, despite that fact she was not busy at all...
It was only when I asked about the manager that she said that she will do it, absoluteIy incredible !
I have worked in the past for Accor Group- Sofitel Hotel as Manager, but such am attitude I have never seen in a hotel. If I was her manager, she was out the next day !
2. Cleaning service was only done 1 time, at my request, in 4 nights I spent in the hotel.
3. The cleaning woman has stolen my cookies from the french window- I have letted them outside, as the refrigerator was noisy. When I came in the evening, the cookie's box from the window were missing.
4. Despite the fact I have askend a silent room, I got first a neutral and " german type" answer " upon to our availability we are not able to confirm this"..bla bla.. I got the first room - on the corner, very close to the tram line, I could not sleep 3 nights!
4. The pillows are very high and of bad quality, you can't sleep at all !
Overall, a bad experiene !
I must say, it will be my last time here.

Booked a connecting rooms for a family of 4. Rooms of reasonable size. Clean and the service was good. Location is very good. Tram station is just outside the hotel and only a few stations to Old Town and walking will takes about 20mins. The only down side is there’s no kettle and the sound of the trams if u are a light sleeper. Otherwise, we enjoyed our 2 nights stays. Thank you!

The cleanliness of the room was not really acceptable. Stained duvet, bedsheets and carpets. Shower smelt really bad. Difficult to get sleep due to the tram running past until very late and early morning. Not a lot the hotel can do about that.
Location is closed to the train station which is good and there are a few food outlets and bakeries near be which is a plus.
Overall though the room cleanliness means I cannot recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night recently and had a mostly good experience. The hotel is centrally located in Munich, just a few minutes walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). The rooms and interior are a bit old-fashioned but perfectly serviceable. It was quite warm though and the shower could have better water pressure. Two free water bottles were provided. At the check-in, they took a while to find my reservation but the price was really fair for Munich standards (about 100€) and the staff is friendly.

Very nice room and very friendly staff with a nice modern look to the hotel.
Breakfast was fine.
Good location, but unfortunately, a tram passes by a few times per hour, and you feel it as the tracks are right next to the hotel (on the street).

The older man who seems to be the manager here is absolutely the worst. Our team simply made a mistake in the number of people, but he started yelling, saying, “There’s only a reservation for 3 people — go somewhere else!” If you work in the service industry, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to ask politely, “Is it maybe just 3 people?” or something like that? Telling us to leave immediately in such a rude tone is completely unacceptable. I will definitely not be recommending this place to any of my friends next time.

WIR RATEN DRINGEND AB WENN SIE EINEN BALKON WOLLEN. Wir buchten das Zimmer wegen des angeblichen Balkons. Dieser ist ein Witz. Mit Schuhgrösse 45 bekommt man die Tür nichtmal zu. Zu 2. auf dem „Balkon“ zu sein ist unmöglich. Wir wollten 5min nach Check In wieder auschecken. Die Mitarbeiterin Anastasia Kushnir verstand uns nicht wirklich und meinte oft, sie kann uns nicht auschecken lassen und das Zimmer erstatten (obwohl wir es 15min vor Check In buchten). Sie telefonierte mehrmals auf Ukrainisch mit ihrem Chef. Plötzlich rief sie die Polizei, da wir angeblich aggressiv waren, obwohl wir nur um Erstattung baten. Wir konnten zum Glück nochmal mit ihr reden. Ihr ist wohl bewusst geworden, was passiert, wenn die Polizei merkt, dass sie lügt. Sie meinte, wir müssen uns an TRIP.com wenden für eine Erstattung. Ich meinte, diese werden das Hotel um die Erstattung bitten und können dies nicht über den Kopf des Hotels entscheiden. Sie meinte Ich lüge und wir sollen es machen. Mehrmals sprachen wir darüber. Trip.com wendete sich dann natürlich ans Hotel, so wie Ich sagte und das Hotel lehnte die Erstattung ab. Zum Glück zahlte Trip.com die Buchung aus eigener Tasche und erstattet uns das Geld. Danke dafür! Wir wurden also angelogen, betrogen und bei der Polizei wurde auch gelogen. Das muss man sich auf der Zunge zergehen lassen. Polizei wegen Beschwerde rufen… Niemals wieder. Wir haben so etwas noch nie erlebt.

Dec 24 14, we stay here for 5 night, first easy to Marienplatz about 15-20 half way go underground (some shopping ) U & S Tram nearby to all over Munich. The room was standard size but the bed & blankets were excellent especially during this cold weather. There were heater in the room & toilet, turn when it is really cold. Shower was very good with hot / cold waters. Overall we enjoy our stay here at Augusten.
