The front desk staff kindly upgraded us to a loft, which was a pleasant surprise. However, to our horror, we discovered that our door could not be locked from the outside when we left the room. This happened on two consecutive days, and we later realised that the door lock battery had been drained.

As two women travelling together, this made us feel unsafe, and we became even more vigilant after these incidents. While staff were promptly sent up to resolve the issue each time, it is worth noting that no service recovery was offered. We were also informed that another room had experienced a similar issue just the day before, which raises concerns about maintenance and checks.

Otherwise, the location is convenient. That said, we would recommend returning to the hotel by sunset, as the surrounding area can feel somewhat unsafe, particularly for female travellers.

Good location. Walking distance to the main attractions. Pleasant to hear that all items in the room fridge are complimentary.

The hotel is very close to the train station, just over a 5-minute walk. There are plenty of food options nearby. The area around the station is a bit messy due to ongoing construction, so be sure to watch your belongings when out and about, and be careful at night. However, it's a great choice for an overnight layover if you're transferring trains. The room was spacious, the mini-bar was completely free, and breakfast was quite generous.

The hotel is conveniently located, about a 3 to 5-minute walk from the train station and a 10 to 15-minute walk to the old town. It's a completely non-smoking hotel. The breakfast buffet wasn't particularly extensive and mostly consisted of cold items, but it did offer Munich's specialty white sausages.

The location is super convenient, right next to the main train station. It's only a 10-minute walk to the old town's main attractions, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Plus, there's a Lidl supermarket right next to the hotel.

The carpet in the room was a bit dark and the lighting was a little dim, which made it feel less warm. The cleanliness was good, and I really enjoyed the breakfast tea bar, which offered a variety of herbal teas – perfect for relaxing. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating to customer needs.

Great value for money, very convenient for getting around, and the hotel food is delicious. The environment is quiet, the hotel is clean, and the service is excellent. The room is also spacious. I stayed for 5 nights and it was super convenient for day trips around Munich.

It was pretty good. The hygiene was decent, and the location was convenient. The drinks, beer, and water in the fridge were all complimentary. If I come back to Munich for a business trip, I'll definitely choose this place again.

A wonderful location, just within walking distance from the main train station hbf. The room is big and clean. The hotel staff were very polite and provide great service. Best of all, there is a complimentary mini bar, with beer , fruit juices and many more. Best breakfast with German sausages, varieties of cakes, breads and etc.
One of the best hotel in Munich. Will be back again here if by any chance visiting Munich.

Appreciate Mercure for the goodwill upgrade to a loft room with a separate living room area from the bedroom. Great gesture by the hotel as well to provide daily complimentary mini bar and amenities like bathrobes. Overall good comfy stay within walking distance to hbf and tram!
