King's Hotel First in Munchen

It was a great experience for us staying as a family at this hotel for 6 nights. Below are some of the things we found to be great and areas of improvement.

Great things:

- The family rooms were spacious and nice. Very clean. Thanks to the nice young lady helping with the cleaning!

- The bed was excellent. One of the best we experienced.

- The staff at the registration desk was excellent. Especially the lady from Australia, the lady from Azerbaijan and the lady from Turkey. Thanks for making us feel welcomed and for the sweet gift for our baby girl!

- The staff at the restaurant were nice especially the white haired gentleman. You have assisted us really well.

- The baby cot was great.

- It was excellent to have running hot water in the room. What a relief it was.

- The voucher offer was an excellent touch!

Areas of Improvement:

- We had to pay for slippers. I think they could have been made available for use in the rooms.

- There should be a kettle in the room. If you have a coffee machine I believe it would only be fair to make it available for those who drink tea and not coffee.

- The soundproofing wasn't all that great. The trams and the early morning construction workers made it very annoying in the room.

- The air-conditioner didn't work all the time. Especially the last night it just didn't work.

- The baby seat at the restaurant was broken. I think it should be fixed. The staff was very kind with helping us.

- Sadly there were a lot of homeless and drunk people around the hotel's location.

I booked this hotel as a balance between cost and location and it lived up to expectations. The staff were warm and welcoming and this mirrored the reception and bar area which was exceptionally relaxing.
It has to also be said that the breakfast was excellent
The room we had was rather compact but it was decorated nicely and we had most things we needed. The coffee provided was a little sparse but there were free teas and coffees downstairs. We are also located alongside the road and this proved to be rather noisy due to the trams and building works. We still slept fine, as our days were long, but it’s something to bear in mind.
Overall I’m happy to have stayed here and would recommend Kings Hotel First Class

Lovely place to stay in Munich! The service of the staff was exceptional. Very hospitable facilities...We had to wait some time after checkout to leave for the airport but they had a lovely lobby area, with toilets and refreshments. The luggage storage was innovative and so helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy, the breakfast was delicious and we especially enjoyed the croissants! It's located next to Müchen hbf, the central station which made it so convenient to move around the city and for the airport shuttle bus. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay in Munich! Atmospheric interiors and great location, near the central station and 15 minutes walk from city centre.

A great choice..great location for all transport links . Subway train to and from the airport was so easy. A lovely short walk to the old town and all the Christmas markets. The staff were so warm and welcoming. Hotel breakfast was wonderful. The hotel have a great incentive scheme...if you choose not to have your daily housekeeping then pop your little supplied bag on the door and a €10 voucher is popped in..use on a drink in the bar or on food. The lounge/bar area is comfy and cosy. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Area felt safe.

We were very pleased with our choice of kings first hotel. It was located 10 minutes from the Xmas market, easy to get buses and trams. The room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and very efficient, but do like you to use the correct cups an espresso cup is not considered proper to collect milk for your tea! Lovely yogurts, muesli, pastries and hot food everything you could wish for. A handy locker room for cases. Would definitely recommend

Near to main station, exit from nord exit for a shorter walk. Also a few steps away from the metro station. There is a tram at the door, which is convenient.

We were given a corner room with king size bed. The room layout was however awkward, with very little walking space and space for luggage. The toilet was also very small. The mini bar (with coffee machine) was placed in a cabinet, without lighting, which was quite odd. The wifi in this room was not good, could only get signals near the toilet. We had a second room on the other side of the corridor, and the wifi worked well.

As the room is near the tram, it was not quiet at night. You could consider the same hotel on the other street for a quieter room (which we also stayed before).

However, service was good and we appreciated the amenities in the room. It was a good night sleep.

A small hotel located very near to the central station, friendly staff and service, at the right price too.

That’s exactly what I want! Excellent location, good services, acceptable price.
