Gasthof Sollner Hof in Munchen

Booking nightmare!
We tried to book a room for two nights...the night of our arrival in Germany, and the night before our departure. I contacted the hotel via email, and was sent an "offer". When I pointed out that the price quoted in the offer was higher than was listed on their webpage, I received a corrected, lower "offer" within minutes. I agreed to this, and gave them my credit card details.
The next day, I receive an email from a different person saying that they cannot sell me the room for the price I agreed to, and the higher, originally quoted price will prevail. I should have known better, but agreed via email.
What followed then was a flurry of emails from them: one accepting my reservation, another cancelling the reservation (because I allegedly had not replied), yet another accepting the reservation again, and then yet another asking me yet again whether I wanted to accept their offer. I was receiving different information from two different people, who were obviously not speaking with each other.
They seem to not know what is going on in their hotel or reservation system, and they seem not to communicate with each other to know what is what.
In the end, the chaos was too much for me, and I canceled the reservation. I feared that upon arrival, the information or prices might have changed yet again.
There are too many hotels in and around Munich to have to deal with such incompetence before we even arrive.
