Great location to experience Palace Living in a suburb of Berlin.

Upon arrival, I learned that the premium room I had reserved was sold to another guest and I was given a so-called upgrade. This upgrade was an old suite badly in need of renovation. It smelt old and dusty and I hardly slept that night. This property has relinquished its five star status in order to save money. This is what I was told by the staff and the standards have fallen dramatically. I witnessed this firsthand as I stayed there about a year and a half ago. Avoid at all cost, this is not a five star property!

Very nice stay. I’m a repeat guest and I do love this place. What slightly spoiled my enjoyment was the absence of a coffee machine in the room. Also they stopped offering room service, which the great staff tried to accommodate me as much as possible. But still for a property of this class, I’d expect that option.
Having said all that I had yet again a great time and will happily return.

This is the most amazing hotel. It feels like home. The pool and sauna are clean and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. I will come again. It is in a quiet neighborhood.

The century-old Renaissance-style building is definitely worth staying in!

The room's decor is very unique, but there were strange pipe noises coming from inside at night. Our room was black and white with many decorations, which scared the children a bit (like the dragon on the wall and the black chandelier).

The pool isn't large, but it's quite nice when it's not crowded.

The service was only so-so. They promised welcome fruit, but it wasn't provided. There was no turndown service. There were almost no staff in the pool area.

The outdoor areas were completely neglected. Rainwater was everywhere, and the chairs and tables were dirty.

The breakfast was decent; the selection wasn't huge, but it had everything. There was staff to serve.

Overall, it was okay. However, for a hotel with such a high price tag, the service could be more personalized.

We live in Berlin and called the hotel weeks in advance to make sure there would be no events during our anniversary day. They assured us everything would be quiet, so we booked a room and massage through both Booking and phone. We made it clear that we were sensitive to noise and wanted a peaceful experience.

Two days before, they emailed saying the lounge, bar, and restaurant would be closed for an event with a DJ from 2 p.m. to midnight. When we asked why no one informed us earlier, they just said, “We don’t know why the email wasn’t sent earlier.”

No real apology, no effort to make it right — and we had to cancel and couldn’t find anywhere else last minute. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

We had such a great time there. It’s a beautiful place, far from the Berlin chaos. The staff was adorable, I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice hotel!

A stylish hotel with a big garden and terrace. It's about 15-20 minutes drive to the center of Berlin. It's quite and in a very nice/safe area of Berlin. We enjoyed the serenity before going (and after returning) to the busy center of Berlin. We were with our car and choose to have parking place for which you have pay 20 euro's per night. And for our little dog we paid 30 euro's per night.
