The room was huge!!!!!! I had the top floor and so a fantastic view. Felt very spoiled with that. It is a bit out of the city centre and with a 30 min tram ride you will be in the centre. Really enjoyed the size and having a bathtub. Heater was working perfectly which was definitely needed as it was freezing outside. While the stay was good, it didn't quite meet the standards of a 4-star hotel overall. The staff still has a lot of room for improvement, both in terms of friendliness and dress code. Great place to stay for visiting Berlin. There's a tram stop right across the street. The cleaning staff were attentive and friendly. The reception staff were also friendly, but a bit less so, a bit colder. The breakfast was varied and good. There was no hairdryer. I would definitely return.

This is a clean, small hotel with a good breakfast and decent-sized rooms. Nothing fancy, but it has everything you need. The check-in can be done at any time, which is really convenient. The location is great for getting around, whether you're walking, taking the tram, or using the subway. Recommended.

It was ok property, but they gave me the closest room to the lobby on the ground floor, and it was really noisy, like I could hear every conversation, which was very bothersome.

It was perfectly located for my business trip (at Potsdam University) and the main building seemed fabulous. I was super excited to stay there with all its big glass windows and beautiful river location…unfortunately despite the fact I got a suite, they put me in the boring building with no view across the street (see photos for the two buildings)

On the whole zero complaints about the hotel itself. The complex is gigantic and much larger than expected, and as such, made finding reception quite difficult. The room was quite nice. The complex is huge, but the restaurant sells the ice cubes (???), guess is not part of the hotel. It is a lit bit far from the city, but the quality of the room and toilet was great. And comfy beds as well. AC working perfectly as was quite hot weather. Staff was professional and polite. Toiletries were quite good as well and we manage to have a great stay there.

Nice big rooms, our room had a bath shower, they don’t offer kettles on the room or coffee and teas. No ammenities except shower gel and handwash. Had a nice decent tv and chairs in the room too. Check in and hotel staff seemed like they didn’t care. 15-20mins away from the Berlin central

The hotel is well maintained and clean. They don't have their own parking, so you have to use the one which is only 50 meters away. The room was clean and modern. Most of the 4 stars hotel have a coffee machine in the room. This one doesn't. The service was excellent and definitely you should try the restaurant.

I have not a single bad word to say about this hotel. Rooms are perfectly clean, bed was great, every single thing in room was on its place. One important thing, stuff that is working there is absolutely great, we were enjoyed our staying here and chilling with people working at the bar at the evenings. Whenever we come again to Berlin we will definetely stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great here. Room was nicely designed and very comfortable, the staff were great - helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed staying here. The only thing I wish was different was the cost of the sauna. It would have been nice if it was included in the stay, or at least less expensive. But 22 Euro per use seemed very high.

Really liked this hotel. You can catch a lot of trains from this location. Easy access to different parts of the city. The interior is a bit basic so more appropriate for a business traveler but pretty clean. Overall I’m happy with my stay. The staff were always helpful and gave me some great tips.

Cute hotel newly renovated. Beds were very firm but we were only there for a night. Staff was friendly. There is a bowling alley downstairs but expensive at 50 euro per hour.

Perfect place if you want to have a chill time. There is a beautiful forest next to it as well as Wandlitzsee that you can reach by walking or biking. I really loved the breakfast. It was tasty with high quality food. Sauna was an amazing experience too.

I stayed at Waldhotel for about 6 nights and was completely satisfied with the friendly staff, the spacious and clean room, the breakfast, the restaurant, and the walks in the nearby forest—all at a very reasonable price. Very nice hotel walkable to the tram. I was visiting for the marathon and though the location was farther from downtown, it was easy to take the trams and trains everywhere. My room was very spacious and quiet.

It is almost the worst 4-star hotel I have ever stayed. The room is extremely small. Apart from a 1.2m-sized bed, the room cannot even stand for a desk, so you have a platform by the head side of your bed to place staff (very creative).  They have a strict check-in time from 3 pm, and staff are not friendly enough to explain things. Moreover, the 150 Euro deposit fee was not mentioned anywhere.

This hotel is LGBT-friendly, and guests of all genders and ages are welcome to stay. The staff provide excellent service and give very helpful recommendations.

Not realised that it is a rainbow hotel until after we checked in. It is a bit out of city centre but there are many restaurants and shopping centre in the neighbourhood.

Had a good time, low season so not much happening in the hotel if you were interested in having some drinks at the bar. We tried breakfast, good choice and amount for the price. The windows on the lower floors are basically on street level, and there’s no air conditioning, so you are stuck either suffocating, or being woken up multiple times per night by the buses from the bus stop that is quite literally right under your window. The breakfast is ok, but for the price, I don’t know. Will not be staying with Best Western again.

The hotel’s location and cleanliness are very good. It is about 5 stations away from the city center, roughly 8–10 minutes. However, it is very noisy—sounds from other doors make it difficult to sleep. In the early morning, you can also hear the room service moving around.

The booking wasn't in the hotel system, but I was upgraded to a junior suite. Quiet hours are a must after 8 p.m., so it's more suited to seniors than families. Otherwise, the staff was very courteous, clean, and the restaurant was good value for money.

The IntercityHotel at Berlin Central Station is better than the one at Ostbahnhof (East Station). I'd recommend choosing the Central Station location. The IntercityHotel at Ostbahnhof feels a bit old and isn't soundproof at all; not only that, but it doesn't block odors either. There was always a strange smell in the hallway.

My wife and I had a wonderful four-night stay at the Oraina Hotel. The room, and all facilities, were very clean and well laid out. We loved the large windows in our room with a view to the Oranienplatz. The staff in the hotel, restaurant, and bar were very courteous and helpful.

One of our best stays anywhere. In a bohemian part of the city with lots of local restaurants. Easy to catch a bus to the city centre but also only a 20-25 minute walk. Great and friendly service. The bar and restaurant are beautifully styled with excellent food. Try the duck!

The staff is simply outstanding. So friendly! Everyone speaks English, so those of us who are not fluent in German are very comfortable at this property. The atmosphere is super comfortable. You’re right in the middle of a bustling area and close to the subway. Berlin is very safe, and this is a little oasis of luxury in the midst of a very hipster, diverse neighborhood.

Honestly, the hotel's location is terrible; it feels quite out of the way. It was a bit of a stopover before heading somewhere else the next day, but you get what you pay for, like a dorm from a long time ago.

Although the location itself may not look good, there is only one tram line to Berlin Central Station on the M8, so it is easy to move around with a suitcase. However, you need to transfer to get to the main tourist spots, so be careful.
