Reviews
The hotel was so dirty they I felt I was actually sleeping on a shelter, there were people fighting the whole night, blood on the floor and stairs, trash all over the floor and stairs, broken glasses on the floor, people yelling at each other, drug addicted everywhere, I felt I was actually spending the night on a prison rather than a hotel room. The police had to come to the hotel TWICE that night, I was supposed to stay two nights, but I couldn’t even spend an entire night, 4AM in the morning I decided to leave because I was terrified for my life
1. The pictures are fake. The room was nothing like advertised. Dents/scruff marks all over the wall. The bed squeeked the second you sat in it. The table had wear and tear that would take 10 years of intense use to accumulate. The floors looked like they had been swept, but not actually cleaned in forever. Half of the listed amenities aren't provided. The shared bathroom had mold in it and wasn't cleaned. In the common space was construction material (dry wall, spackle, tools, plastic sheets) for all of the nights I was there. Unmoved and unused. Luckily, the covers were bleach white and clean..
2. The lock & door handle to my room wasn't screwed in. Additionally, the door was split open right above the handle indicating a prior breaking and entry. With minimal force I'm confident I could open the door without a key.
3. The room reaked of cigarette smoke. The pillowcase/bed were disgusting and covered in smoke/sweat. They likely hadn't been changed in years. The covers weren't fitted, hence how I could see the underneath pillow/bed. After 2 nights at the hotel, even my clothes that never left the packing cubes of my bag smelt like smoke.
4. On the first two nights of my stay, due to an important work event, I was literally in the hotel only to sleep. On the 3rd night, I came back to my room turned on the lights and 5-6 cockroaches scattered across the floor. I packed my bags and went downstairs. As there was constantly people in the tiny lobby, I wrote a message on my phone indicating what had happened to the front desk man. He took my key and told me everything would be handled online. He made no attempt to rectify the situation. When I asked to cancel and refund remaining nights, they lied and refused to refund.
5. I'm fairly certain that the front desk man is dealing ****. Also, that they sell rooms by the hour. Because the door is broken I could hear loud and clear people entering and leaving 3/4 floors down the entire night.
6. Considering I had to leave, and rebooked another hotel with trip.com for around the same price with significantly better amenities in the same area -- the pricing was an absolute joke. The pricing should have been $10 a night to make it feel worth it. $100 a night is an absolute scam.
After travelling internationally with Trip.com over the last 7-8 years I've stayed in 5 star hotels and in backpackers hostel dormrooms. I'm not picky, and am fairly easy to please. I've even stayed in pod hotels and loved them. This was by far the worst experience I've had at any hotel/hostel, and I would not recommend booking them under any conditions. Truthfully, the fact that they are even listed on the Trip.com website is concerning. A simple audit of their facilities would confirm everything I say and prove that they meet zero conditions of being a safe and well-managed hotel establishment.
