Hotels on first line in Ixia

We stayed at Matoula Beach for a week in early October. Initially we were allocated a very small room. When we mentioned this to reception, we were transferred to a lovely spacious pool view room

You will need water shoes if going into the sea as the beach is all large pebbles and there is no tide to speak of. €4 a day for a sunbed and umbrella at the beach. Had no insect bites in June 🙂

Just returned from 2 weeks at Matoula Beach and what a fantastic holiday. Staff here were so lovely and helpful. Decking around the pool and garden area

We had a lovely time at matoula beach. our second holiday here and was as good as the first one

There was a good size pool with decking but the beds were very worn and tatty and would often collapse. The pool bar was was very good and there were plenty of staff on hand to assist

There were three themed nights a week Close to the beach and two beds and an umbrella are €15 a day. Not too many local restaurants within walking distance

Beach has a lot of nice round stones that massage your feet if you walk on them. Or if you are used to step on lego bricks this is easy for u. When you get in the water there is sand under your feet

We stayed in a beautifully lit corner room with stunning sea views

In short, everything was excellent, the food, the room and especially the staff. And the lovely Adrianna (I may have misread her name) at the mini market.

We had a holiday with my family in this hotel and it was great. Tho location is quite good and the ocean is just across the road. It was very easy ro cross the road and we did not experience any problems with that

not sure i'd class as a 4 star hotel, staff were excellent, Sirene owners should be proud of them, however only having 1 restaurant with a buffet style offerings for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, no in room facilities for tea/coffee and no minibar, meaing you need to go to the restaurant/outside pool everytime you wanted a drink

The bartender, older man was so nice and had good sense of humor. Also during the evenings they had a bar inside and the bartender there was also great dude. Room was pretty simple and had i guess everything we needed

Summerland is a cheap and a very good 3-star hotel. The rooms and common areas are very clean, the staff are genuinely kind and always ready to assist, and the large pool with ample sunbeds is perfect for lazy days

The hotel is very clean, lovely big pool, air conditioning, WiFi, a selection of foods and drinks for breakfast and the prices are very good. We’re already planning our next trip and we will definitely stay here again

It was a good stay. Good view from my room. Staffs have good attitude, pool is cute, room is tidy but shower a bit shabby. Staffs give good recommendations on local areas, trust them.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Room was clean and the pool area was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helped us when needed

It’s best to rent a car to explore all the attractions of the island, and the hotel offers a lot of on-site parking, which is very convenient

My friend and I stayed here in June 2025. The staff here are so friendly and very helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us

We had a fantastic view from our room, 315 looking across the sea to the Turkish coast and below to the well-kept garden and swimming pool. Breakfast was superb with a large choice of continental and cooked food

The room was really good…everything you would want it to be and a balcony overlooking the sea - we were happy! Loved the pool…it was never busy which was great

If people wanted food or drink during the day there was a pool/beach bar open everyday. Never a problem getting a sun bed. There were free sunbeds on the pebble beach too for hotel guests

Enjoyed swimming in the sea too - don’t forget your beach shoes though! I would say that this hotel is great value, given what we paid

The location - right on the beach is great but you know that before you go. I liked it because it was so relaxed…. refreshing not to have to hand over passports and fill in forms when you’re tired after a long journey

The owners, Zachi and George could not have been more helpful and all the staff were so kind. The poolside bar was well-stocked where we were able to buy a range of snacks and meals

The hotel has no pool but across the road is a lovely pool with bar and sunbeds you can use for 5 euros. We enjoyed our stay at the Filmar and we would stay again

Nice, clean, central budget hotel. Breakfast ok (more of continental eg. , meat cheese tomato plus cereals and toast and eggs)

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and beautifully arranged thanks to the housekeeping staff, who did an excellent job and was very kind and helpful

We also loved the hotel bar, especially the evenings with live music – it created such a lovely atmosphere and made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, excellent service and a truly memorable experience

We had a very relaxing stay here. Very good and pleasant place, large swimming pool, nice and spacious room with comfortable bed. Big balcony for quiet evenings. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Good breakfast that can be enjoyed on the terras, friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean. The balcony overlooking the pool was a nice place to relax

Location is a 5 min drive to the beach and restaurants in a quiet and green area. Very nice and clean pool with shade of trees and umbrellas. Never a problem to find a sunbed

Nice little hotel with good clean pool and enough sunbeds. Location is good although you have to walk 15-20 minutes to the center of Ialyssos. But in return you have a peaceful location to relax and enjoy

The air conditioning worked perfectly, an absolute must in such a warm place and the pool was always clean and there was always room

To be very honest for the cost, we experienced a small simple friendly and clean hotel with a lovely pool However there is not anything there after 7pm and you will be much better off hiring a vehicle as the walk into Ialysos is not ideal but all in all pretty good

Amazing location Amazing staff Clean rooms It's like 1 km from the beach and the hotel is located near a lot of restaurants. The room is a bit older but really clean and the cleaning lady did a great job.

Breakfast was delightful and the room was clean, comfy and spacious. Located close to the beach and lots of brilliant restaurants and shops

Pretty good hotel, bar drinks are strong, but doesn't taste good, beach is stoney. Entertainment is good, restaurant is good.

Highly recommend! Really great location, less than 5 min walk to bus stop into Rhodes old town. The owner was really lovely and had great suggestions for us

The owner Manos helped us wherever needed and always went the extra length of allowing us to use a room in order to freshen up ahead of a late depart

At the poolside bar Efi made lovely wraps, sandwiches, fruit & cake also hot snacks and Astrit made lovely cocktails 🍹 in the evening their was entertainment on 3 times a week and the owners Lita, her husband and son live in the hotel it is very family oriented, but if you want luxury there are more expensive hotels in ixia don’t look at the negative reviews as some people pay for 3 star ⭐️ and expect...

The beach was just across a very busy road, very pebbly and not very clean. On the plus side the location was great. Lots of really good restaurants within walking distance and 10 mins from Rhodes town

Nice hotel, but disappointed with the breakfast (went B&B). Hotel rooms good, location good. Only one bar which is the pool bar. Rooms are nice and clean, with great housekeeping

The hotel is directly opposite the beach. There's a section of sun beds and umbrellas directly opposite. I used them everyday and nobody approached me for money, so assume that they were the hotels

This our second stay at the Lito we came here last may , the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help Goita, Jana, Efi, Astrit do brilliant and are fluent in several languages, the rooms were cleaned daily always fresh towels lovely housecleaning ladies

We were all inclusive and the food was plentiful lots of choices breakfast omelettes, scrambled eggs, pancakes, salad, 🥗 breads, the list is endless so is lunch & dinner 🥘 we were a bit disappointed with some other guests with 10 plates on their table !!I mean it was easy to keep popping back for more food

If you want to spend a day at the pool and lay on a madras on the sunbed, you have to pay 1,50€ for the day or 10€ for the whole week You may also know that you have to pay hotel-tax, we payed 10,50€ for a week

Everything was amazing guys, one of our best holidays ! Very good personal !very nice people with big hearts,always to help and to serve you! Super clean room service ! But they are clean, and the bathrooms are new, which is a huge plus. Overall I think it's an easy recommendation. Apart from the rooms, it's a great hotel with a clean pool, good restaurant, nice staff, and all that

We really enjoyed our stay in late April. The pool isn't heated, but our kids enjoyed it nonetheless. Plenty of sun beds too, and with its courtyard filled with Orange trees it's a really cozy location

But fantastic stay, good location and also swimmingpool area is nice. Most of guests from Danmark and very friendly and polite

I also spent some time here on my way back from Karpathos,this is the main reason for my review. On the last night of my holiday in Karpathos I was not very well,my stomach was of it. I was collected from the hotel at 5

I stayed here for one night on my way to Karpathos but spent part of day here on my way back from Tilos, waiting to be collected to go to the airport in Sept

I was picked up by a pre arranged Taxi at Rhodes port and taken back to the Anixis to wait until I was collected and taken to the airport for a late night flight

It's a good bar and they do food as well,there were plenty of tables and chairs. The only downside for me was it's up a side street off a very busy main road,which you have to cross to get to the beach

I also asked if there was a chemist near by, she said there was and asked what I needed, I told her , she said follow me , we went through a back door to a mini market,which is part of her hotel and on a shelf behind the counter was what I needed

Glynis (the owner) had organised for George and David to wait up for us and to show us to our apartment. Caroline (the manager) cooked us breakfast in the morning. All the staff are so friendly and helpful

Recently renovated, nice and modern - really clean, also excellent breakfast and close to the airport as well as only 3 minute walk to the beach!!

Location is on the main Rhodes town road and can be a little noisy, there is no pool but local hotels do rent out sun beds. I would most definitely stay here again

The room has working AC and black out blinds. The location is good as it is close to a beach and a €12/€15 taxi ride from Rhodes city centre

In general it was our first time in Greece and the service here is unlike anywhere else we have been, from everyone we talked to but especially at this hotel. The rooms were clean and had everything you would need

There was a delightful welcome gift in our room. George, the manager and his staff were friendly and always happy to help. They even served our breakfast an hour early one day for us to go on an excursion

The pool area is nice and clean, and there is a pool bar where you can get refreshments on a hot day. I guess it could get crowded if many guests were there at the same time, but during my stay that never happened

Yes, the rooms were dated and a bit worn down, but still comfortable enough, and the room service worked every day to keep them clean

The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The location of the hotel is perfect too, close to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep. All the staff were super helpful and lovely

I really liked that we had a mosquito net on the door as I am always eaten alive on my holidays. not seen this in any other hotel across Greece. So, I was very pleased with that

Convenient location, really friendly atmosphere, rooms a little basic but clean, good value, staff were really friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 14 nights and we could not fault this hotel. Staff all work very hard and are very friendly and polite. Maria who runs the pool bar is very hard working. Breakfast has lots of choices to suit everyone

Our room was facing the plane trees. Behind them a couple of local cockerels kept us awake first night, so close your glazed doors. Lovely pool area and snack bar ( see photos )

The beach is not far and there is no loud annoying music at the hotel pool. The furniture next to the hotel is cosy and has a higher quality than the plastic stuff at other hotels

In room itself was very clean and the cleaners did a good job - I think the bathroom needs some improvements (dirty sealant and parts of the sink peeling off etc) again maybe it was not like this at the beginning of the season but in other hotel stays this would not have changed with it being the end of the season

thought it was really important to share my experience visiting in the last week of the season and leaving on the day the hotel actually closes as if I had known some of the things I no now I probably would have chosen a different hotel

Lovely Rhodes experience! On arrival, Odeta received us and during our four day stay, she proved to be very helpful, efficient and friendly! Hotel pool excellent with comfortable loungers

We loved every minutes of our stay the staff were all extremely welcoming and nothing was to much effort for them. Its 1 of the nicest hotels I've ever visited the room was amazing and exceptionally clean

we got upgraded room , which was large and spacious an overlooked the sea. we had late arrival after 10pm and the hotel had already put some sandwiches and complimentary drinks in our room great amenities through out

The Hotel grounds and swimming pool area are well kept, pleasant and on a pebble beach. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas

What could be improved: - I didn’t really get a feeling of Greece due to old international music at the pool and even at the Greek a la carte Restaurant

We were in Rhodes for a wedding and booked this hotel to rest afterwards. The hotel, staff and amenities were excellent and we will return one day

Villa di Mare has the best combination of sea access and pool, and what more: one of the finest breakfast menu’s we have tried! The only downsides may be a bit loud pool music

Excellent dinner, especially the seafood linguine. Very attentive staff and lovely view of the ocean. We could just see the sunset while we had pre-dinner cocktails. These were delicious and standard price for rhodes.

We have tried three nice family suites - all with private pool. The friendly hotel manager came to check up on on in person -thanks to her we decided to come back and stay a couple of days extra

The pool full of natural well water located under the hotel is alway extra clean I have never experienced such quality of water The hotel restaurant and grill bar offers diverse fresh and delicious food, The prices are lower than the restaurants and the food much better! We loved absolutely everything about Sea Melody and spent a wonderful 2 weeks here. LOCATION Perfect! Right on the beach, supermarket on site or several more a few mins walk

POOL Very refreshing to not have to be up and out for 7am to get a Sunbed. No problems at all, we would be out for about 8

The beach is pebble which is perfect for us sand haters! Short ride from the airport too! STAFF Wonderful! A family run hotel who made us feel right at home! Couldn’t do enough for us

Would we visit again! Absolutely, already planning it! If the hotel is looking to enhance their already wonderful place, the area near reception ( unused bar area) or the space outside near the arcade would make an excellent gym! These areas seemed to be dead space and very unused

The kitchenette with fridge is a nice addition for light snacks and keeping drinks cold. CLEANLINESS 11/10 Everywhere was spotless! Bravo to the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned every day, fresh towels every 2 days

We attended the (free) wine tasting event. It was fantastic, loved socialising with other guests and chatting. Very informative someliers, providing even more complimentary food to eat with the wines

The hotel is pretty remote compared to other hotels in the area, approx 20 - 30 min walk to bars or bus stop to Rhodes town, probably not recommend for those with mobility issues

Very nice and quiet. We loved our stay here. Big pool, big rooms and green surroundings. Nice people/staff. Highly recommended

Fantastic brand new hotel for couples. Quiet and relaxed, great wines and food on offer. The rooms along with the rest of the hotel are very modern and clean

Only negative would be the lack of fresh tea and coffee facilities. The menu and quality of pool bar snacks through out the day was also very good. The swimming pool and pool area is great as is the outdoor gym

Situated in a rural residential area well away from the tourist traps of Rhodes Town and the very run down area of Lalysos & Lalysos beach which is very scruffy and dirty indeed

Negatives Hotel is tired looking and could look loads better with minimal spend, a touch up of paint etc Didn't clear the towels on some of the sunbeds in the elite pool over night, so they looked unavailable the next day, when there are only 12 available beds

The best holiday I ever been on. Everything was magical the stay the suite private pool and garden

This is the third time we’ve been to the Elite Suites, we had a sea view room with a private pool, being September the sun didn’t reach the patio area but the pool was bathed in sunshine throughout the day

We recently stayed at Elite Suites Rhodes for our wedding anniversary, and it was truly a perfect experience. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and the private pool with a sea view was a real highlight

After breakfast each day we went to the main pool and although we were there quite early each morning, some towels had already been placed so the advice is if you want the best positions set up early if you want the main pool however beds were always available

The food was excellent, we went HB so breakfast and dinner were our options. Entertainment in the evening was a bit bland with the exception of “The 3 tenors” a trio of South African singers who were excellent
