Harismari Cozy Hotel in Chania Town

I had a truly memorable stay at this boutique hotel. Marie was warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and even though we did not speak the same language, communication was easy and she genuinely made me feel at home. The hotel is perfectly located in Old Town Chania, with shopping and dining literally right outside the door, yet the room itself was quiet, cozy, and very comfortable. It was also spotlessly clean, which made the stay even more relaxing. After a long flight, this was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well located, and welcoming place to stay in Chania.

The hotel was in a perfect position and the owner Maria was brilliant. The hotel was very clean and little gifts every day, fantastic.

What a gem in the heart of Chania! This spot has all the charm of the old Venetian town with a beautiful vibe that makes it stand out. The place was spotless, and I loved the little touches—an espresso machine in the room with some chocolate, candy and Ouzo, plus a fridge and a safe for convenience. The bathroom was a dream with both a waterfall shower head and a removable one—perfect after long days exploring. But the true highlight is Marie. She welcomed me with a warm hug and immediately made me feel like family. She doesn’t speak English, but we had the best time using Google Translate while sipping wine together in the evening. Her pride in her place shows in every detail, and her hospitality is unmatched. I left feeling grateful, cared for, and blessed by her kindness. Our stay at the Harismari Cozy Hotel was a very nice experience! All positive comments we had heard about this hotel before were actually true. The room was nice and clean, with a nice view towards the quiet and pleasant street. The location was perfect. And the service was excellent! Mrs. Maria and her daughter were always there with a smile, equally hospitable every day. We will use the same hotel next time, for sure!

Delightful and helpful people, really hard to meet hospitality and service of this level. Strategic location within walking distance from the center and the various beaches. But don't worry because if you stay at this hotel you will find people who can help you for sure. we will return and recommend it to any of our family members

This is an utterly charming little hotel perfectly located in the heart of Chania’s old town. Even though we arrived later than expected in the evening the four of us (2 couples) were welcomed effusively and our bags were taken up to our immaculately clean rooms. Maria is an absolutely lovely host, greeting us every morning, with her radiant smile and offering both good destination suggestions and local savory and sweet treats. We highly recommend the Harismari and would love to go back.

The staff has been really lovely , a warm welcome , they told me about the area and they were always available to answer my questions , even prior to checking in to book excursions. I definitely recommend !

Absolutely loved this modernised townhouse. Very contemporary rooms, high quality fittings, superb bed, great shower. Only slight issue was the lack of natural light on room 1, but it doesn’t spoil the stay

I loved my stay at this hotel. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The hotel is picturesque and located in a perfect location to enjoy Chania’s old town. Walking out of the hotel in the morning feels like stepping into a postcard. And it’s located right next to two excellent and affordable restaurants. Highly recommend.

110% recommend! I have no idea how this is only a two star property, definitely deserves more. The room was spacious with a lovely open wardrobe / dressing area. Opposite this was a sideboard with kettle, coffee machine, coffee bean grinder, small under- counter fridge, and a draw with plates and cutlery. There was also some homemade biscuits and raki. The bathroom area was lovely with a spacious rainfall shower. The whole room was welcoming and cosy while also being modern. There was also a smart tv with the option to log in to Netflix, Amazon, etc, and air conditioning. The location itself is super convenient. In the courtyard area where the entrance is located there are a few restaurants, and also a mini market just round the corner, and an ice cream shop at the top of the snicket where you can turn into the courtyard. Beyond there are many restaurants and shops on the adjacent streets, so very easy to get to. On top of that it’s about a 10 minute walk from the central bus station (all pretty flat, though the streets are paved with small slabs so you do have to drag your suitcase a long, just something to consider if you want to walk from the bus station), about 15 minutes to the old Venetian harbour which is the main touristy bit, and about 20/25 minutes walk to the beach (both a very pretty and pleasant walk, again flat). The people that run the hotel are all lovely, and everyone on the front desk always had a smile and a hello. Especially the lady that checked me in (I believe it was one of the owners, Valia) who was wonderful and greeted me with homemade biscuits and fresh orange juice. Just made me feel at home right away. My sister is already asking me to take her to Greece, and I know where we’ll be staying if we stop off in Chania. Honestly cannot recommend it enough.
