Where to stay with kids in Heraklio Town

A perfect way to start the day 😀 If we do not go to the beach, we swim in the pool, enjoy a cocktail or walk around to souvenir shops or take the bus to the city centre

When we checked in we were graciously upgraded to a suite in another building with access to another resort and pool. All the staff were very friendly in all areas which made our stay very enjoyable

Teams were excellent, services were excellent, but the mattress in the sofa bed was appalling. Otherwise, it's perfect for a couple or a family, it's near the beach, near lots of restaurants and bars.

Anything you need, just ask the friendly staff and they will help you gladly: booking excursions, a massage, ordering a taxi, renting a car, tourist information, you name it

We keep coming to Georgia's Garden hotel and, each time, with the same great pleasure. We love swimming in the sea and smooth sand beach, which is just 200m from the hotel

In the evening we enjoy a nice dinner or just a drink or cocktail at the bar, sometimes also chatting with guests from all over the world. We even made good friends here

We had a family room, which was quite nice and spacious with an extra bed, seating area and with a bathtub. The breakfast was nice but not very expansive

I really really like this hotel. The pool! My sweet balcony overlooking the housing and in the distance both some volcano of some sort and the Aegean in the other direction. The air con worked like a dream

I would especially like to express my deepest appreciation for Irini, whose sensitivity, kindness, and genuine warmth made me feel welcomed from the very first moment

I also warmly appreciated Mihalis, whose sincerity, innocence, and natural kindness immediately won my sympathy. His authenticity and positive spirit bring a beautiful human touch to the experience

Warm, professional, genuinely caring, and incredibly attentive, they made me feel not like a guest, but like someone truly welcomed and valued

Her delicate attention to guests and her heartfelt professionalism are truly rare. Kallia also deserves sincere gratitude for her constant goodwill, courtesy, and readiness to help with elegance and generosity

All in all, Hotel Agapi Beach Resort is a wonderful place to unwind, enjoy the sea, and be well taken care of. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete. I hope to come back here soon!

Food and drinks were excellent, staff polite and hospitable, while working busy shifts. Beach was great and the highlight of the trip. Facilities were very well kept and entire resort was kept clean and tidy

From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome — warm smiles and genuinely helpful service whenever we needed anything

Spa staff excellent as well as the animation team. Taka taka- Greek street food restaurant was unbelievably good! One of the best all inclusive resorts

We came in October and even though it was nearing the end of the season the service was fantastic, couldn’t fault it. The resort was great, absolutely lovely beach and the staff are all wonderful

Very good location for this hotel, hotel was very clean and had a nice rooftop pool and restaurant.

The rooftop pool is amazing with a full service bar and plenty of different types of seating and views of the city and sea in the distance. All the staff are friendly and helpful

Parking was available 👍 The roof ventilation was very loud at the pool, so unfortunately a longer stay at the pool was not possible for me

The hotel is in a great location in the city center, convenient for shopping and visiting museums. The sink is in the bedroom, and the bathroom contains both a toilet and shower

After showering, the entire bathroom floor was flooded. I suggest the hotel separate the shower and toilet areas with a full door

The hotel is across the road from the hop on hop off bus, airport bus, museum and many restaurants and bars down the alleys

The hotel is in an ideal location. But I would never call this a 5 star hotel the toilet was dirty the swimming pool was small. For 5 stars i expected alot more

One of the authentic hotels in crete island. It was built in 1964 originally. Hotel staffs are friendly and professional. Only weak point is GYM 🏋️‍♀️ facilities. Relatively small and lack of machines

Smell from the gym is not good

However once we got to the hotel they told us that they have one but only a very very small one, basically they refused our car and told us to park it somewhere else

Furthermore on their website it said that they have parking

Honest decent hotel but definitely doesnt deserve 5 stars, would not go there again

We really enjoyed out stay in this hotel! The bets thing about it is the people - we were made to feel welcome and everyone working here was atentive and warm and made us feel super welcome! (Thanks for all those extra treats - fruit, coffee, ouzo!)

The advantage of the hotel is that the accommodation is not in one central building but in many small houses located in a garden full of trees. Everyone has privacy and a pleasant environment on their terraces

When we arrived at the hotel before 10 am, we were invited to breakfast, which we were not yet entitled to, and a full table of postponed food was waiting for us, because breakfast time was already ending

At the end of the holiday, after the rooms were vacated, we were given a free room in the early evening after a whole day on the beach before leaving for the airport to shower and pack our luggage

Nice premium bungalows with plenty of space for 3 persons. Nice beach with free sunbeds and good service if you want to order drinks and snacks. All the staff were friendly and helpful

With a DJ playing chilled house music, it had a real Ibiza feel. The grounds throughout the hotel were spotless. Sunbeds around the pool are limited, but there are always plenty available on the beach

I went to the spa and had a full body massage and facial I loved everything about these treatments, my facial was done by Antonis and it was great my skin felt so hydrated, and my body massage was done by Maria she’s fantastic!! I highly recommend going to the spa

Despite losing a couple of days to very poor weather, we had a wonderful stay. This is a small resort—just two restaurants and two bars—which initially made us a little unsure, as it’s the smallest we’ve ever stayed in

When the weather kept everyone indoors, the hotel handled it brilliantly. The lobby comfortably accommodated guests, and the staff were fantastic—constantly bringing drinks and clearing tables efficiently

However, this actually turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. The atmosphere is relaxed yet intimate, and every member of staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was a real highlight

I would highly recommend staying at Castello if you visit Crete. I came from India and stayed here for a week. Very helpful staff (especially Harry and Eva, who helped me with getting settled here) and friendly vibe

My stay at Castello Hotel was absolutely amazing! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-organized in every detail. The room was cozy, modern, and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay

I’m not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews, and I’m pretty picky about cleanliness and comfortability. Positives: clean room, somewhat modernly furnished, very kind service

The maid service system was also kind of neat, it’s a digital button inside the door instead of a placard. Tea and instant coffee are provided in the room with an electric kettle

The shower was one of the biggest and nicest I’ve used so far on the islands, and the bathroom was clean and stocked. My room had a small balcony which was also nice

I personally didn’t really feel sketched out by the area taking the bus here late at night by myself, though it was a weekend. It just seems like a more local area

As soon as we had a first look of the hotel and came inside I was greeted with some amazing staff and made us feel very comfortable for our first time, then as we made it to our room we felt so heartwarming with how clean they tidied the room for us! Then as we woke up in the morning we went and had a absolute delicious breakfast with a variety of choices

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

The pool was also very nice with a lifeguard accompanying it. One of the best things about the hotel is the location, there is a big supermarket in front of it and a lidl 2 minutes walk

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vanisko Hotel in Crete, and I can honestly say it was one of the most heartwarming and enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve ever had

The food at the restaurant is decently priced and tasted great, the staff were super helpful and can organise taxi's to the airport or port

The Olive Green Hotel is a clean, friendly and helpful place to stay, in a great location in the middle of the best parts of Heraklion

The rooms are well priced and larger, which makes things easier for a longer stay

It was nicely centrally located and not overcrowded. The restaurant next door is highly recommended, offering a variety of dishes; you even get a discount if you're a hotel guest

Breakfast was small, compact, but varied. The price-performance ratio was okay

The reception with their capability, local knowledge and willingness to help out a guest family in a tight spot is the gold standard of good service. Some say hospitality is an art, if so, they are a staff of artists

This is a decent 3-star hotel within walking distance of Heraklion Airport. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of four for a single night. The hotel's employees were kind and helpful

Fantastic location for arriving on Crete. Superb service and rooms that are comfortable and excellently clean for the price that one pays

The breakfast was basic: scrambled eggs, small local sausages, delicious ham, vegetables, and cheese. The cappuccino was a bit sweet, and the juices were packaged

To top it off, our luggage was lost and the receptionist called the airport for us and dealt with the delivery of our luggage, gave us all points of taxi services at affordable rates, called car rental companies and really helped us out a lot

Perfect for night next to the airport. 5 minute drive from Heraklion Aiport and super friendly staff with a 24hr desk. Have stayed here a few times and each was great. The rooms are simply, but clean and tidy

Most of all, the staff was respectful, kind, helpful, and attentive! Gave us some complimentary bits and bobs for our honeymoon which we greatly appreciated. It felt like a real high-class, high-touch experience

The staff is very friendly. Lady Effie is very kind and helpful with check in and check out . Restaurant at 5th floor has excellent view of the harbor. Cannot miss that! Breakfast is very quite special.

We spent one great night at Megaron Hotel during our honeymoon. We loved the hotel pool, where you can get drinks and food delivered to your chair. The pool has a great view of the harbour

Terrific spot, beautiful rooms, lovely rooftop pool, walking distance from lots of great places but also has a parking lot which was HUGE for us

Good location and friendly, helpful staff. This is a good place to stay for an easy stroll into the centre. It's a short journey from the airport which is near the centre. It's not a busy airport so not noisy

This was a very unique property. Well maintained and very modern. Everthing was great but i didnt geg the ******* VIP perks. Ghis is either an upgraded room or the bottle of wine as per my perks

The accommodation is excellent, comfortable, and well equipped if you wish to self cater (we preferred to visit local restaurants). The reception staff were very friendly and helpful

Another recommendation: it would be nice if pool access was free for hotel guests – especially since we paid for an all-inclusive experience

We could have paid just for breakfast and dinner and the lunch we could have had in the tavern and we could have had acces to the pool at the pool-bar next door

The personal was kind, helpful (except the daytime female barista). There is 2 people who I want to mention who we liked very much: the short haired blond receptionist and the hotels barman (he tended the bar at night)

The location is excellent — very close to the beach, which was a big plus for us. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was a bit tucked away, so it felt a little dark and confined

We recently stayed at this 3-star hotel and, overall, everything was fine considering the category. The rooms were cleaned daily, and towels were changed every day, which we really appreciated

Wonderful modern hotel with responsive 24/7 staff. Rooms are perfectly clean, well-designed, roomy for 2 people, great water pressure in the bathroom, and quite a luxurious feel for the price

We stayed in the top floor so we had direct access to the roof deck. Easily walkable from center City and the main attractions in Heraklion. Breakfast is included and quite decent

There is an arrangement for a daily parking 1 minute walking from the hotel for 12€ daily

Bonus - luggage storage and an elevator! Only downside is you can hear the airplanes at all hours taking off from Herkalion, even with ear plugs

It was in the center of the city and the staff were kind and satisfied. Unfortunately I couldn't have breakfast because I had to catch an early morning flight.

Our family stayed at Nuevo Crete for one week in October 2024, and from the moment we entered the lobby we were greeted with the warmest hospitality we have ever experienced during our stays in Greece

The Nuevo suites have ample and safe parking on site and is only a five-minute walk to the most beautiful and relaxing beach, with sand, clear warm water, and cool vibes

Great outdoor pool, clean and neat, friendly staff. Food is very good, with Maxim restaurant at the street level and has a very nice terrace

Cosy and relatively small, Castro is located on a five minute walk from Ammoudara Beach and has a bus stop in front of the hotel. The bus comes every 30 minutes so it take 20 minutes max to Heraklion city center

We was last year 2024, all was ok special the food , the rooms was clean, but the furniture was outdated and the bathroom with the open shower wasn't very good. We only had breakfast, which is very ok

Also located very close to the airport, so transfer is quick and easy via bus, shuttle or taxi. There is a rent a car next to the hotel for those willing to cruise along the beaches of the island

The hotel and the staff were very professional and always positive. They were very kind and welcoming. What’s a bit annoying are the showers, which are quite narrow, but overall, I recommend it

The room I booked was great, the bathroom was clean, and it had a balcony, but it was a bit noisy at night because it's near the road. Also, it's a bit far from the beach, so the sea view isn't great

My family and I stayed at Legacy Gastro Suites for seven nights in early July, and it was simply perfect

The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk to the Heraklion Museum and local buses to Knossos, with a taxi station right across the street and the central bus station within walking distance, making it ideal for exploring the area

Breakfast was a real highlight, offering fresh food, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs cooked to your preference. On two early excursion days, the team kindly prepared generous lunch bags to keep us fuelled while out and about

There was a kettle and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast was excellent, served per person, and I couldn't finish it all. The coffee was the best I've had at breakfast in years

We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend Legacy Gastro Suites to anyone planning a trip to Heraklion
