Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Rather small balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, easy to get to the city centre (bus 1 and 20) and back (bus 6). Supermarket over the street. Short walk to the public beach. The best advantage were early breakfast hours (7-10). The pool was also nice, not many people there and suprisingly I couldn't hear the traffic from the street that much.

If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food. Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring.

Right in old town. Taxi stand right across the street to get to the airport.

You can't beat Olympic for the location, nor for the price. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was fine. Olympic has a pleasant terrace on the top floor, where you can sit and read and watch the planes take off from the nearby HER airport. My only complaint was that the smallness of the bathroom meant no towel racks, only a couple of hooks behind the door.

Really nice hotel, we only stayed one night but had wished we stayed longer. We booked day of and check in was very fast and efficient. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Elevator to carry luggage up and down. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options and fresh food.

Below average The nice lobby is deceiving. The rooms are very old and mine was very dark (the only windows faced a skylight well). Decently clean but I found a hair in the jam at breakfast (I guess that it can happen but it is the first time that it happens to me, in the more than 30 years in which I have been travelling). It will not be my choice at my next visit at Crete University.

The hotel entrance is not easy to find, but the island itself is not big, and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the city. You can find the entrance by asking. It is very cost-effective and the transportation is also very convenient.

Perfect for night next to the airport. 5 minute drive from Heraklion Aiport and super friendly staff with a 24hr desk. Have stayed here a few times and each was great. The rooms are simply, but clean and tidy. The pool and breakfast are spot on. The staff are happy to provide details for local restaurants that can deliver food if you want something not on the hotel menu.

Nice little hotel at a good location, both close to the airport and the city center. The staff were very pleasant, with a special mention to Katerine, Who answered all our questions and even called places when we needed. We stayed there for one night. We arrived late and left in the morning, so we weren't able to take advantage of all the hotel's amenities. The breakfast included in our stay was decent. Lovely hotel at a fine location nearby the town centre. There are restaurants, grocery stores and shopping districts in walking distance. I arrived to the city via the bus from Chania and left the city via ferry via the harbour. although not exactly short distance but they are walkable. it is a relatively busy city and many popular restaurants are very occupied during the weekend.

Very, very nice, right in the city center, about a 20-minute walk from the pier. There are plenty of restaurants in the city center. The front desk was very nice and answered all my questions. The location is central and the friendliness of the information office is top notch. The facilities were clean and there was a separate veranda where you could wash and dry your laundry, as well as a table and two chairs. The downside is that the bathroom is so small that it's difficult to turn around, and there is the inconvenience of not being able to fit your left foot into the toilet seat.

After staying at the hotel for 4 nights my girlfriend came down with food poisoning , the staff were amazing and caring for us and helped us out massively as we were going to find another hotel but found space for us at a discounted rate due to our circumstances as well as keep sending up bowls of rice with lemon and breadsticks to help sooth her stomach. Teams were excellent, services were excellent, but the mattress in the sofa bed was appalling. Otherwise, it's perfect for a couple or a family, it's near the beach, near lots of restaurants and bars.

When we checked in we were graciously upgraded to a suite in another building with access to another resort and pool. All the staff were very friendly in all areas which made our stay very enjoyable. We selected this hotel because of the proximity to the harbour. It takes less than 10 minutes to reach the Seajets ferry to Santorini. Hotel is clean, rooms are well fitted. The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.

It's a good spot to stop if you're looking for shopping and quick access to the harbor. Parking is difficult. The staff was nice and helpful in answering all of our questions. The rooms are a little run down and very noisy with the planes flying out of the airport, so bring your earplugs! Overall, it's not bad for a quick stop, but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

The Marin Hotel was a wonderful place to stay for our stop in Heraklion A great location near the ferry port and airport. A short walk to markets, restaurants and attractions.

Ideal location, close to the harbour, the old city, the bus to Knossos and the bus terminal. Very helpful receptionists. The view during breakfast is fabulous. Lots of choice from the buffet. It was a pity that we couldn’t stay longer. Although we didn’t meet the hosts in person, it was a perfect stay. The check in via key safe was super arranged, no problem at all. Clean modern hotel in great location. Walkable to ferry port and town square with lots of cafes and shopping. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Located in the heart of Heraklion, the Hotel is waking distance to just about everything but The Palace of Knossos. Near shopping, public transportation, and many great restaurants. Great location near the city center. Not so great if you rented your own vehicle. Also had an issue where the shower had no pressure for the hot water that ruined what would have otherwise been a great stay. Great breakfast for the morning to.

A very nice hotel in the city centre, walking distance to all the main attractions. The rooms are very nice with wood elements giving them a natural and luxurious look.

The staff were the most wonderful and friendly, the area was perfectly walkable to everywhere we wanted to go in the city, and the breakfast options were amazing!
