Where to stay with pets in Kato Daratso

Did get a little repetitive but buffets often do. We dined at the Italian on site and I wasnt really expecting much but it was amazing from start to finish

There were lots of ants about on the steps near the rooms and occasionally on the patio. The pools were cold at first but once you got in and over the initial shock you adjusted. Shower in the room was powerful

We had a wonderful two weeks here, the staff were very nice and friendly. In the evening at the bar, the barMichalis and Jivka served us delicious drinks. I would recommend this experience to others. :)

The patio got the sun all day! Some other swim ups did not have the luxury of the sun all day and our room was definitely a winner there. Food was good,lots of variety,desserts were delicious

The beach resort is lovely, clean and the rooms are clean and can be cleaned daily. The food is lovely but it’s the same things every night with a very small variation so does get a bit boring by day 5-6

We did use it one day and as the resort was shut there was only one other family there, only downside was we couldn’t use the shop as it had closed down for the season but the main rd is very close

The hotel is situated in the middle of loads of family friendly restaurants all serving delicious food and we were able to rent a car for the day easily, with access to the hotel’s free parking also

Good overall, well managed but has some are Good overall. We stayed in an imperial room on the beach side of the hotel. Very good facilities overall, but some of the rooms need to be updated and soundproofed

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. They have for sure the nicest staff ever. So accommodating. Great food the breakfast buffet is so so good. Definitely will come back and recommend highly.

The one thing that was the biggest miss for us was inconsistency of service from hotel staff. Some are really great, friendly, and proactive, especially the cleaning staff

Great attitude, service, and helped to solve problems. The manager also called us at the end of the day to check if everything was all right

But others seemed to have an attitude and a scowl on their face when serving you

Peaceful location on a beautiful sandy beach, just off the busy main road. Agia Marina is a few miles west of Hania with frequent buses

Everything you need is within walking distance: the Atlas supermarket, bus stop, and other conveniences are just across the street. The host was absolutely fantastic—kind, welcoming, and always ready to help

His hospitality and many tips made the stay feel warm and personal. The room itself was fresh, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable

This hotel mostly is for vacation at the pool. This hotel have 2 pools and close by acces to the beach. If you book this hotel be ready to pay extra for AC 12 € per night. Pay extra for beach sunbed 8€ per bed

Wow! Where do I begin? This resort is a rare combination of the best amenities, location, and service that makes your holiday simply amazing! This was my first time in Crete, and honestly, this resort wasn't my first choice, but only because the photos don't do it justice

Very close by there is a small port where you can rent a boat or take a ride on a motorboat. In the town, you can rent a car or enjoy a train ride around the surroundings. The hotel also offers free bicycles

Blue Dome is an amazing family hotel which offer good rooms, a fantastic view and the best personell. We stayed at the Superior room which was newly renovated in 2024, and it was spacious and super clean

Some places were boring, some were exciting, but rarely have we had a vacation which was not - in some way - memorable and joyful

We've enjoyed a couple of weeks staying in this hotel with wonderful staff. There was no loud music from the bar in the evenings unlike other nearby hotels

Location is perfect - 4 beaches nearby, Lidl, bus station, nice park for morning jogging. Free gym is another big plus for fit people

This hotel is all about location 3 lovely beaches within a very short walk €12 taxi from chania Went to 10 local restaurants never had a bad meal all excellent There's a land train stop 200 metres away so if you need to go watermark or lake kourios it's very easy

Perfect location, quiet, but close enough to Platanias center, yet right next to the beach. Studio was big enough with the balcony. Beds were a bit too hard and we could hear noices from the corridor

The ladies at the reception were especially lovely and went out of their way to assist with anything we needed. To top it all off, the hotel even gifted us a bottle of wine during our stay. Truly a fantastic experience!

We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment for three nights and this place is just fabulous. The apartments are very spacious and quiet, on nice grounds with a pool in the middle

They also have a nice bar and light meals available with delicious chocolate shakes too. The family who runs the business are super friendly and very helpful

Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Elea apartments. Suited us down to the ground, lovely and clean, spacious apartment with plenty of amenities

If there is any downside to note and only a small one, it would be the small shower

We went here as a family of 5 and we loved every second good sized rooms but it does get really hot at night but that's not the hotels fault, the kids were non stop in the swimming pool it wasn't far from a lovely beach and restaurants and a short bus journey to the town centre I would definitely recommend this hotel you will have a nice warm welcome

Short walk to 3 beaches, nearby free parking. Towels changed every 2 days and sheets every 3.Hob, kettle and fridge.

The water from the shower overflowed and leaked out into the room. It was clean and simple, but didn't feel like a better stay than a hostel. The staff is very kind and helpful however

Small apartment hotel, located at the very center of Platanias. The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the central square, the shops, the bars and the restaurants. The beach is 2 minutes away by foot

Heartful service and all in all, a decent hotel to relax with the family. Central location in Platanias is a huge plus as well, while being still quiet

This was out first trip to Crete. And we are SO please with this hotel!! Nice clean rooms in a very authentic style. The owner, the receptionist and the cleaning lady made us feel right at home

Although not a modern hotel, its freshly renovated bathrooms and windows combine with traditionall wooden furniture to create a cosy warm, village-like atmosphere

There is also a small pool for a splash bath, and a large terrace on top, to enjoy the sunset with a beer. Clean and tidy with warm welcoming stuff and owners

5 minutes from the beach. 6 minute bus ride or a 40 minute Wallin along the beach to get to Chania Old Town - location was great for us.

The hotel location is great as-well only 3 minutes from the beach and and either a 45 minute walk from Chania harbour or a €10 taxi. Overall would very much recommend was a perfect place for a quite week get away

My family had the most amazing stay at the Kallitsakis Beach hotel. Myself and husband and our two young daughters  highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Platanias Town in Chania, Crete

Not the most luxurious hotel, but the location and price is hard to beat. The rooms are fine, the staff very friendly and the breakfast adequate. So for a basic hotel this is the perfect choice
