Bourtzi Hotel in Skiathos Town

Until we stayed at the Bourtzi hotel, I never understood why people returned to the same hotel or resort. That's changed. My teenage daughter and I stayed for 10 days, our friend joined for a week and we had a fabulous time. The hotel is centrally located, about 10 minutes walk from the port and within close proximity to fabulous restaurants and shops, but the pool area is lovely and quiet, and even in August, didn't feel hectic. Nice chilled vibe - which is what we wanted. Also plenty of shade, but you could follow the sun around the pool too if that's your thing. The rooms and hotel in general were absolutely spotless. The staff couldn't be more helpful and lovely, always on hand to make recommendations and bookings, but never fussy. Excellent service, very down to earth and we felt so well looked after - they even made a delicious soup when I had a stomach bug! Breakfast was fantastic (including the coffee), well varied with a really good selection to suit all tastes, whether you wanted to opt for a healthy start, or go all out, including local produce. We had lunch by the pool and ate in the restaurant a few evenings which was really good and the cocktails were perfect. Loved it. Worth every cent. We'll be back.

There is little to say about the Bourtzi Hotel that has not been previously said. I just want to WARN you that it's actually BETTER than the reviews - From the first moment you arrive to the last second before you leave, you are immersed in sheer bliss. It is an oasis of calm in the centre of Skiathos town. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and management - we had a room upgrade half way through our stay - any reservations or recommendations for dinner we asked for were booked efficiently by the front desk team, the bar staff and servers were incredibly helpful, just nothing, nothing at all phased any of the team at any time - they were incredible. We had recommendations for what taxi's to use, what Beach Bars to visit, what trips to take, honestly there was nothing that the manager and team would not do to make your stay beyond special. Dimitris Agiotis and his team are outstanding in every way. Staying with them for a week in June - was like basking in a private members club with all the perks and none of the attitude! We’ve just finished excellent stay at this hotel. The amenities are excellent and the staff are so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast fare is comprehensive and of very good standard. The cafe bar, The Lobby, is open to the public as well as hotel guests. The prices re reasonable and the drinks and food are of a very high standard. Overall a great stay, made all the more so by the superb staff. Dimitris, Yannis and Chris deserve a special mention. We’ll certainly be back.

We Stayed at the Bourtzi for 10 days. Our first trip to Skiathos. Probably one of the best Hotels we have ever been to. All the staff are brilliant, so helpful. Nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are so well kept great housekeeping. The Breakfast's are excellent so much to choose from. Our only issue was no brollies round the pool. But we would highly recommend the Bourizi.

This was our fifth time in Skiathos and just like our previous occasions we have stayed at the Bourtzi Boutique Hotel. This is an easy decision for us because the hotel is perfect. This includes its location which is at the at the top end of Papadiamanti Street giving you easy access to all the bars and restaurants plus only a short walk from the Harbour and Bus Stop 4. Inside the hotel you will be absolutely spoiled by your hosts Dimitris , Giannis and every member of the team to which I include the cleaners who work hard to keep it absolutely spotless. At breakfast there is everything you could wish for from cereals , pastries , hot buffet etc. Taking care of you will be Chris , Stefanos and Katerina. In the Lobby Bar Stathis will make you some amazing cocktails and these will be served by amazing Pagona. The 38 rooms are designed to a very high standard and are very spacious and comfortable. If you don’t fancy a day at the beach you can relax and unwind around the nicely sized swimming pool where the team will keep you hydrated with complimentary water and anything else you need. At reception Dimitris , Chris and the wonderful Vivi will offer any advice and recommendations throughout your stay and will make any reservations required for a nice day at one of the many beaches or at any restaurant. Personally I don’t think you can beat this hotel because of the quality , the information , the friendliness and location it’s not hard to see why people that come for the first time can’t wait to return. We will be returning to Skiathos for the sixth time next year and we’ve already decided where we’ll be staying and yes that will be at the Bourtzi. Thank You Dimitris , Giannis , Chris , Vivi and every single member of your team for another fabulous stay and the perfect way to celebrate my 60th Birthday and Retirement. Our second visit to Skiathos and this great hotel after a two year absence What can I say .... still a great experience and on a par with our first visit. Staff are lovely so are the owners still supporting and helping you plan your visit . All super friendly and cant do enough for you Lovely breakfast 😋 we had lunch a couple of times in hotel gorgeous greet salad , wraps and smoothies to die for. Love the cocktails in their lobby bar to. Everyone you speak to who stays in this hotel love it and all return, that says a lot. We also met really nice friendly guests there as well Hopefully we can get planning for our third visit 🙏 Thank you Dimitris and staff for providing such a great service 👏 and making our holiday special Barbara and Karen 🇬🇧 😃

Absolutely stunning hotel, owner and staff amazing. Beautiful room and hotel with special little touches. Mosquito screen on patio door Breakfast until 11am and very well set out Conditioner as most only have shampoo. Location perfect for solo travellers as just off papadiamanti street. Perfect little pool area with spare beds !!

We stayed a week in this gorgeous boutique hotel with a perfect location right in the town. Lovely rooms and an array of breakfast choices every morning. But what makes this hotel is the unbelievable staff. Dimitris, Chris and Vivi could not have been more helpful. From booking restaurants and beach beds to even allowing us to use the facilities and store our luggage after a 5 day trip to skopelos, even tho we were no longer staying guests, their kindness is second to none. We loved our stay and hope to be back one day in the future!!

We have had an absolutely delightful stay at the Bourtzi hotel. We were welcomed by staff on reception who were incredibly helpful showing us to our room and talking us through a map of the island (with recommendations, directions, and top tips). There was nothing too big or small for the fantastic team (and they even made reservations for us for busy restaurants, which was really helpful). Special shout out to Vivi for being so lovely and attentive; your beach recommendations really meant we made the most of our stay! The room was nice and clean, and rooms were made up daily. All areas of the hotel were spotless. There was a nice variety of food at breakfast. A welcome drink in the attached bar/restaurant was a nice touch on arrival, and was handy when we were sunbathing at the pool and fancied something to eat (I would recommend the gyros bowl!). Despite only being a small hotel, it did not feel overcrowded or busy and there were always sun beds if you were down in the morning. The location of the hotel is perfect and only a *very* short walk to the hustle and bustle of the shops, bars, and restaurants. 10/10 hotel and staff. I can not put into words how fantastic this hotel is. The location is perfect just off Pap street and a 10 minute walk from bus stop 4 and Megail Ammos beach. We arrived to a beautiful welcome from Vivian, was shown to our room then invited down to the Lobby Bar for a complimentary cocktail. We booked a standard room which was lovely overlooking the pool. The cleaner came in daily and did an excellent job, towels were also changed daily and complimentary shower products were provided. Breakfast was served at 8-11 and there was hot and cold to choose from. Chris on reception was also very friendly and we had some nice chats with both him and Vivian they were so informative on areas / beaches to visit. It was my daughters birthday while we were there and Dimitrius organised a complimentary cake and Prosecco for her which was a lovely gesture thank you again. The pool area is so peaceful and you are provided with complimentary water during the day which was a lovely touch. Beach towels /bags / parasols are provided for you to use on the beach. The customer service from Dimitrius Chris and Vivian was out of this world and I have never been anywhere and had the attention we did from these guys. You are truly amazing , you are doing a fab job and your hotel is PERFECT!!! I will definitely return in the future and can see why everyone that visits gives this place 5*.Skiathos is a beautiful Island with some stunning beaches which we visited many due to the fantastic bus service.
