This is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. We have stayed in 5 star accommodation at triple the price and it doesn't compare. It's a very basic hotel, built a long time ago but it's clean, spacious and well maintained. The location, sea views and access to the beach below your balcony is crazy good. Ignore all the bad reviews, at this price, you can't get better. Just keep in mind there...

If you use the hotel only to sleep and not stay in the room, then ok, if you are going to spend time here, I do not recommend it. Rooms facing the road very noisy, moldy bathrooms, cleanliness very bad. Simple breakfast. Very good location, beautiful view. For undemanding

First of all this hotel is located right at the beach and shares the swimming pool with hotel paradise next to it. View from balcony is great when you have sea view. Breakfast was ok, just the coffee was not that great, my girlfriend was missing some kind of sausage all week, I would have liked to see some scrambled eggs. I've stayed in several hotels in Argassi. It had the most comfortable beds! We had wonderful stay! So great, that I organised my camp there. Everyone was over the moon and back. I think it is great value for your money. Yes the aircon is to be paid separately just like all other hotels in Zakynthos. The rooms have a big fridge included as well, cleaned every day. We have visited many Greek islands but Zakynthos is one of the best! Diana Hotel is a great hotel with even greater people! Mornings were something we looked forward to! The breakfast had great variety and everything tasted fresh. The staff were always smiling and helped us with anything we needed. Felt really at home.

We spent 11 nights here at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. The room was clean, tidy and well appointed with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Visited in early October and the hotel and resort were pleasantly quiet, and got quieter as the week went on. We last visited Argassi 10 years ago and were surprised at how much it has changed. We had a ground floor room overlooking the pool. Due I expect to the changeable weather, mozzies were a real problem if we sat on our balcony or left our door open for some air. Great location, staff are so friendly loved our room it was spotlessly clean beds are comfortable and we was overlooking the pool,bar in the night played music into the early hours but was more of a distant sound so it didn't bother us. Thanks to this hotel I'll change my understanding of a "standard" word. It's the first time I got such room quality as a "standard". I was not informed of paying quite lots of money and getting the room with the poor quality I got - I guess neither the room nor the bathroom were renovated there for some 20+ years... We spent a week here and were put in Room 204 in an adjacent apartment block as the main building seemed to be full of Dutch groups. Another visit the Palmyra did not disappoint, a well run hotel with spacious rooms with waterfall showers in the bathroom. Complimentary toiletries are nice bonus . The aircon is excellent and is a must . All the staff here are polite and very helpful , a special mention goes to the housekeeping staff who came in every day at our request, brilliant. One of my favourite places I have stayed. La caretta despite being on the main road of alykanas is quiet. Exactly what I wanted. It’s clean and facilities are ideal. Staff are so friendly and classic Greek friendly hospitality. I can’t wait to be back.

The best hotel in alykanas, we’ve stayed there a few times over the past couple of years. The owners are amazing, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms are lovely clean and modern. The rooms were clean, well sized, with the facilities to meet all our needs. The communal pool area was always clean and quiet. The location of the hotel is quite remote but that suited our purposes, to have a relaxing trip, but maybe not ideal if you want bars and restaurants on your doorstep.

The hotel is not next to the beach, but this is not an issue! You can have a transfer from there to any place that you want to visit. People who work there are amazing! Service is great! Came to the Varres as at the end of our holiday my wife was admitted to hospital on the day we should have flown home. Moved to Varres Hotel as it is close if not the closest to the hospital. All the staff were brilliant and their shuttle service spot on , can’t fault the hotel or staff, and when we are back in Zakynthos will head for the Varres rather then a beach all inclusive hotel .

Excellent place! If you are in Zante for a quiet and peaceful vacation - Varres is a great place for that. Rooms are cosy, the pool is ultra clean and the staff is just perfect. 30 minutes to the port by foot, or 7-8 mins with a car. Shuttles were available for anywhere on the island. Hotel restaurant is just what you need for a cosy evening - food was great! Can’t wait for the next visit!

A nice hotel. The rooms were neat and well cared for, though the atmosphere felt a bit lacking (with one of the lamps it had a bit of an aquarium vibe, but that was mostly just funny). The pool was nice and clean. The breakfast was absolutely stunning: lots of choice, tasty and with nice staff. Recommend if you're going for a good hotel, rather than a cute or lively one.

Greek hospitality is almost always great but here they made us more than welcome. Well kept up hotel, the apartments are basic but the balcony with ocean view make up for it all. Housecleaning went out of their way by arranging the children's towels and toys the kids left lying around so the kids felt extra cared for. The restaurant had good food and a notable personal touch added to their service

The Cactus Hotel is a vibe. Ice cold beer on tap, a balcony made for pretending you’re in a music video, and a logo so good I’d happily wear it on a T-shirt. Shoutout to the mysterious midnight phantom who politely stops you from belly-flopping into the pool at 3am the true unsung hero. Add in the full-on Club Tropicana energy, and you’ve got yourself a stay that’s equal parts holiday and fever dream

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in August, and it was exactly what we expected: a decent hotel with a gorgeous view. The hand shower in the bathroom made a strange drilling sound every time I used it. The room was a bit untidy when I first entered. The bathroom faucet didn’t work properly, and there was only one carpet, which wasn’t very useful after coming from the shower. Hotel staff were very friendly and really helpful. Out of the way from crowded and touristy Laganas, ILIOS is a calm couples' retreat in walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. After staying 8 days in Sep/Oct 24, I'd recommend it as a cozy alternative to being in the midst of the Laganas neon landscape. I had a wonderful vacation here. It’s just a 5-minute walk to a busy street, but the hotel itself is peaceful and quiet . There’s a beautiful garden with many flowers and a lovely and clean pool. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Everything was fine except the bathrooms, which need refurbishment this was the only negative thing about the hotel. The staff were young and very friendly always willing to help. Pool was really clean and enjoyable. Food was nice, however breakfast could be better! Drinks were great. A little far from the beach as the hotel is located on a hill so renting a car is a must.

Superb family holiday. The location is great, just on the edge of the resort so nice and quiet for families, but literally directly on the beach. The pool is great, lots of sun loungers too, never had to worry about not getting one ! The rooms are spotless and the view from our balcony was unreal. Staff are so good, nothing is too much trouble. Fabulous stay and we will definitely return 👍🏼

Deluxe Ocean View room was very spacious and very large outdoor balcony. The pool and beach were great. Very sandy beach. Chairs and umbrellas are free for hotel guests. Front desk staff were very helpful with laundry and getting us taxis. On site restaurant for breakfast and lunch and bar stayed open until 11. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Would happily stay again.
