Aqua Bay Suites in Tsilivi-Planos

Excellent family holiday in October half term. Staff extremely friendly and nothing seems to much trouble, hotel was very clean. On arrival booking in was made very easy and welcoming. Food was enjoyable with a good variety. Our fussy eaters ate well everyday. Snack bar at the water park does wrapped sandwiches and salads and make the ideal take away for the beach days. Drinks were OK. Soft drinks are like rola cola but drinkable. Cocktails were all great. Bar staff very good. Swim up room pools are NOT heated but once in the water you can spend plenty of time in there. Only one heated pool at the front of the hotel but it is very small so gets very busy with small children. Entertainment was good on a night time, Something different every night.

We spent a lovely week here at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct 22. Location was good, rooms were even better and the food was really good too! Fantastic that guests are able to use all 3 hotels and the water park. My son was able to find something to do for the entire week and loved to swim most days. Water park is a great option to have on site and was one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel.

Hotel is clean and the cleaning staff do an exceptional job of keeping your room spotless, providing bottles of water each day, we never ran out. Bar staff were efficient but sometimes not the warmest when it came to welcomes or conversation. The reception desk staff were really great. Particularly the younger guy who took our bags to our room for us (can't remember name sorry), quite often the reception desk would help with things like printing our boarding passes and even when dealing with a tricky question they tried their best to find the answer.

We used the land train more than once. Although hard to get info on it we quickly learned where to catch it (opp breeze bar 10 mins into town)

Food is as varied as an all inclusive hotel can be (in my opinion) themed nights were a nice touch and eating at the resteraunt at the water park was particularly special. Alcoholic drinks are predictably weak but still nice enough.

Our only niggle was the evening entertainment wasnt very good. Which seems to be a common opinion, and the games area next to the entertainment stage is very tired, pool tables are old and tired and not even level, various machines aren't working and it really needs an overhaul. If they worked on these two issues in my opinion it would be an incredible place but we would all return again even if they weren't addressed.

We had a great time at the hotel. The staff is humble, polite and some times over-submissive! The rooms are ok, we had a family swim-up which was spacious enough (couple, no kids) but the room divider is made of rattan and not sound proof. The swim-up pool was a bit cold, comparing to the sea and other hotel-pools (late september). But it was nice to have a less crowded pool, with own sunbeds to retreat and tan.

The food (and the amount of choice) was great at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Also there are 2 gyms in the affiliated hotels. You may use all the facilities of the other hotels (walking distance and almost connected). Tsilivi itself is ok, but to see more of the island we recommend to rent a car or do a boat trip (we did both).

All the staff-members were great, but special shout-out to Maradona, working at the bar of the hotel. Young ambitious local guy, who worked there as holiday job. Sharp minded and full of humor, quick learner. Made for the job and really gives the hotel character!

Overall: We had a great stay and would come back anytime!

We stayed in Aqua Bay Suite (room 121) from 31th. august till 8th September. At arrival, we got a friendly greeting by the staff in the hotel. They explained us what we needed to know beforehand, and gave us some delicious welcome drinks and brought the luggage to the room.

Breakfast & lunch were overall good, but dinner got a bit repetitive at some times.
The rooms were clean. The cleaning lady did a lot of effort even when we didn’t ask for the room to be cleaned, they still asked.

All of the staff is super friendly and helpful but special thanks goes out to: Harrison and Pete (amazing “magic” duo from the reception), Maradona (bartender from the hotel) and Cristina (waitress/bartender from Water Park Tsilivi) for making our vacation even more lovely!

We stayed at the Aqua Bay suites for 2 weeks. The attention to detail and service was incredible. The photos don't do the suites justice!

The staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best time, especially Irdi, Dimitri and Dani at the pool bar.

The food selection was superb, they catered for all needs with alternative milks and gluten free options. I had smoked salmon for breakfast most mornings!

As a family we don't usually choose all inclusive holidays as we like to travel and explore but we would definitely return here again. We did hire a car for 2 days and there was free car parking at the hotel.

The children loved it and we felt very safe and secure. Highly recommend.
