VERY GOOD PLACE TO GET SOME REST IN BUDAPEST

I would recommend this hotel. Safe, clean, bus right out front.

, except this it was a nice hotel. The breakfast was not the best compared to other hotels in Budapest, but it can be improved easily

The room-size was more than enough for two, very nice and warm during the cold season and the water for showers instantly hot and good pressure (enough to wash long hair)

Excellent friendly, competent service, client oriented. Parking in front of the hotel which is a huge plus. Cosy room with large balcony and nice view over the city

Inside door to separate the room from the hall door, which helps a lot with the noise. Good water for shower, hangers in the wardrobe, clean & fresh towels and linen

No flexible dates, travelling for business you need a hotel that can provide flexible dates. Not good for business travels.

But anyway we just needed maximum 30 minutes to the city center as the bus stop is 3 Minutes away and the tram 8 minutes by walk. If I am coming again to Budapest I would stay there again! :) Thank you

I came here on a business trip and it was great. It was worth the price.

Good breakfast! Staff were polite and attentive. Water tap dripping, never fixed. Shower door came off the tread wheels.

Just walk couple minutes from Ferenciek station or 5 minutes from Deák Ferenc ter station and I can walk to Vuci street behind the hotel 3 mins by walk as well. I love this place about location and room

Amenities in room were so full-options. But only one thing I didnt understand was where is heater in the room. Haha anw, I will go back this hotel when I come to Budapest again and again

Great location, luxurious atmosphere in rooms & corridor, very helpful staff. Had an issue with shower area door being a bit faulty - was immediately rectified. Price was great too!

Charming hotel in a good location close to all amenties....

(The bathroom felt makeshift, with the shower and the rest of the room connected to the floor, so water kept running down the sink. Also, the closet door on the ceiling didn't close, so I had to sleep with it open

+ Convenient location for airport bus (6-minute walk to the bus stop) + Amenities provided generously + Breakfast wasn't bad - Don't expect much for the low price

Some of the rooms are not soundproof, and the ground-floor rooms only have a small window. There is a lounge area and a bar outside the ground-floor rooms

An absolute delight! We stayed in the penthouse - it was fabulous! Sometimes when you book online, places seem too good to be true … not this time! Cannot fault anything - we had a wonderful time

We were very disappointed that we were unable to use the amenities as advertised, we felt very unwelcome by the “sister” hotel and they initially told us that our seven year old could not utilize the indoor pool after a certain hour which happened to be the same time we showed up, we showed up earlier the next day and they told us that the pool was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m not one...

The rooms were amazing! Staff polite, clean exceeded expectations as for the “sister” property they get zero stars from me and my family

I would consider returning because of the excellent location and the quality of the rooms, but I wouldn't pay extra for the wellness package as it was unenjoyable

We stayed here for a few nights at the end of December. We were a bit worried due to the reviews( we didn’t look on google prior to booking, only after) and we were really worried for what we are going to get

We were very pleasantly surprised. The apartment was lovely, clean and huge!!!! We had 2 rooms for the 2 of us, could pick a bed, we chose the living room one as that looked comfier

Cleaning also done daily, we are not an early riser couple and left the room between midday and 2pm and the cleaning was done without the card being left out. Overall very nice stay and would happily stay again here

Good hotel in the absolute centre of Budapest. The hotel had it's own fitness club/gym with a hot bath, big heated (32 degree) pool, steam sauna and an ordinary sauna. The breakfast was a bit basic but not bad

We saw someone mentioning that there is no luggage room to leave your luggages after check out, which is not true, they have 2 small rooms

This is the best hostel I have been so far. A friend and I stayed for two nights just after the reopening in July 2022

Big fish hostel was my first experience living in a hostel, and honestly it was some of the best times ive had

The dishes were perfectly arranged on the plate and were just delicious! After finishing the dishes, the service team was immediately at the table to take away the dirty plates and to deliver the main dish

Just want to say a massive thank you to the Gang at Big Fish Hostel Budapest. The team made made me feel super welcome from the get go. Super friendly and hospitable. Got to try some amazing Korean pancakes

It was a great stay, the staff was really nice and in the kitchen you could meet a lot of travellers from different countries. Facilities are clean and everybody can have his privacy. I really recommend.

10/10 I want to personally thank Diego, Anna, Diana, Fin, Bianca, Nam and other team members (sorry for forgetting names) for everything. Arrived as a stranger and left as a friends thanks guys

Facility & staff were EXCELLENT, but. The facility and the staff were great and excellent. But I had to put a lower rate because people in the next door were so loud throughout the night

Very nice location, they can do better with the cleaning, the sheets had some stains. The bed not very comfortable. Is good for short stays

The hotel is centrally located, with easy access to buses and many nearby attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, which made exploring very convenient

It was a bit difficult to find at first, as the sign isn’t very visible, I ended up walking in circles and had to ask for directions from staff at the restaurant nearby

I heard the screaming and banging noise constantly (fighting???), that scared me. Staffs are not at night on site, and I could not ask anybody to check them out

Breakfast had a good selection but most of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved Budapest and I would definitely stay at The Bastion again

I stayed at The Bastion Hotel with four friends from 10th June until 13th June and I highly recommend it. The rooms were comfortable with great coffee and a welcoming bottle of wine

Small but adequate hotel in a very handy location. Just by drop off point for shuttle bus from airport. Direct bus, 30 mins, very cheap, every 30 mins.

Th room was a good size and very quiet, we never heard a sound and slept great. The staff were all very friendly and polite and the breakfast was excellent

The room, while small, was perfectly spacious for a single person. There was a convenient outlet near the bed, and the shower had excellent water temperature and pressure

The welcome on the reception was really good and throughout my stay I can tell that everyone from the staff I met was super nice

The stay was very comfortable, the room was clean, the facilities were new, and it was very quiet to sleep at night. The Central Market is only 5-6 minutes away, and most of the attractions can be reached on foot

This hotel was truly amazing! From the airport, take the 100E bus, one stop away, to Kalvin ter (HUF 2500), which is then just a few hundred meters away on foot

While the hallway's soundproofing was a bit lacking, it was surprisingly quiet outside my window. This was the most satisfying of my three stays in Budapest

Also, as the hotel management recommended, add a kettle and at least a few tea or coffee bags to the room (this is common practice in good hotels)

Better than the staff is the location of the place :) be careful with the restaurants downstairs, they are tourist traps :D very expensive and not so good. Don’t worry, there are plenty of options a few blocks away

The room is confortable, big and fresh. The design makes the stay happier, my kids just loved it. The std is nice but the apartment is on an old building which that’s the charm of it so don’t expect a brand new hotel

This isn't the first time my family and I have stayed at this hotel. This time we booked a larger room, which was lovely, but it was on the 6th floor, and the elevator only went up to the 5th floor

Unique room designs and a great location, with easy access to both the trains and tour buses. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff were incredibly helpful

This is an absolutely amazing Hotel so much history in this place and a beautiful garden it is extremely clean and well-kept beautiful modern rooms and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, I immediately extended my stay because of the Super Service minded young lady at the reception I can highly recommend

The hotel is nice and gorgeous but a bit far from Budapest. Breakfast was very good and all in all it was a great money value stay. Especially if you're traveling by car as we were.

We just had a drink and a snack, but the snacks were delicious and freshly made. Very quiet and restful place with an interesting history.

They are not well maintained and some invest is needed. Price is to high for what you get. Not the best experience but we could get a good night sleep

Very beautiful hotel with private parking. Big enough rooms with all the necessary facilities. Reception is always there to help you with any issue. I would book it again and for sure I recommend it to everyone

Buy tickets on the bus - first time from the driver, and when you get to the center - it is better to buy them at the post office or tobacco shops

A very nice hotel, or better to say, pansion ("hotel" does not describe it well). Nice garden and quiet surrounding, parking for guests, good breakfast on the terrace.

Very good hotel in Budapest. Everything you need is nearby. Hotel is on peaceful Street and few streets lower is tram so you can easily go to city centre. I was very satisfied with rooms and breakfast.

Wonderful stay in Budapest, highly recommended, it gave us the perfect Budapest experience!! Best part for us was the balcony, fantastic panorama view over one of the main streets in Budapest from our room in the annex building

Great location, very close to most attractions. Bus stop not far, metro even closer. The room was huge, big fridge, the jacuzzi bath was well worth going for. The staff were very welcoming

Beautiful hotel and the courtyard is pretty! The staff were so accommodating, we checked into our room two hours earlier than expected, the receptionist printed our train tickets without a problem and stored luggage on the last day! Very clean too, our room was cleaned everyday without having to put the sign on the door

Although there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the street you can't hear them from the hotel. We had an apartment, which was very clean, spacious and modern with comfy beds

The garden area was lovely to sit in for a bit of peace after a day of sightseeing. The guys are very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back to Budapest and will definitely stay here again

Furniture is good, some paint touches needed but not too much, shower working good, TV is working, WI FI connection is very good

I could not recommend this hotel enough! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and our room was perfect for what we needed. The hotel is in a great location - all the main attractions are within walking distance

While the entrance was a little challenging to find, we loved the rustic old building with it’s gates and rickety lift. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a view across to the museum and gardens

My room was clean, had high ceilings, and a great view of the National Museum, which I loved waking up to. The staff were all very friendly, responsive, and always ready to help with recommendations

Special shoutout to Vani — she was so pleasant and easy to talk to, really a great example of what hotel staff should be. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting
