Seven Hostel in Sant'Agnello

Clean. Check in and check out was straightforward. It was hard for me to get hot water from the shower or tap. Was given 2 bed sheets and pillow case. My room had toilet paper and hairdryer but no soap no towel. There was a plug/ outlet next to every bed. My room was quiet, the area is not noisy (but depends on fellow guests too). It is 10-15 mins walk to the train station to go to Naples. It is about 40-50 minute walk to sorrento port to get a ferry. It took 1 hour 20 mins to get to Naples with the train. WiFi is given. Staff are friendly. Would recommend staying here over hostels in Naples.

This is the worst youth hostel in Europe that I have ever stayed in. I don't recommend you to choose this hotel at all. First of all, the hotel is very old and unclean. The bathroom is full of rust wherever it touches stainless steel, which makes people feel dirty. The shower head sprays everywhere except on the body. Second, there are no curtains around the bed, so there is no privacy at all. The mattress has been used for who knows how many years and it has completely collapsed. I have a sore back when I sleep there. Third, this youth hostel is not in Sorrento, but in Sant'Angelo. If you want to go to Capri Amalfi, you must first take a train or bus to Sorrento. There is a pier in the area where the youth hostel is located, but there are very few ferries to the attractions, unlike Sorrento, where there are many shipping companies to choose from and there are many flights. Finally, this youth hostel is about 10 minutes' walk from Sant'Angelo Railway Station (provided that you don't drag a suitcase). Of course, the biggest advantage is that it is cheap. If you are a European travel expert, don't have large luggage, and don't have too many requirements for hygiene, you can still stay here.

I stayed in a women-only dormitory.
The ceiling on the bottom bunk was so low that it was a bit cramped even for a petite person like me, but it was clean.
It was also nice that there was a locker in the room.
However, the lock on the dormitory door was broken and you couldn't open it at all unless you got the hang of it.
Everyone in the same room was having trouble with it, so we often had to knock and ask the room occupant to open it for us, or just left the door open.
It would have been nice if the receptionist had either fixed it or come to our room when we checked in and showed us how to open it.

The shower room seemed to be cleaned probably only once a day.
The shower room was relatively clean in the evening, but the next morning there was toilet paper scattered on the floor and it was dirty.

As for the location, I think it's a convenient place if you can make good use of the bus.
You can also go to Amalfi and Positano on day trips!
