Rota Suites in Sorrento

The people were extremely helpful, directing us to an awesome beach experience. The room was perfect for our family of four. The sunsets were amazing and the small refrigerator was great for keeping our Prosecco cold. It’s just outside the town square, with a great restaurant around the corner & a short walk to a grocery store. My family all agreed, we will definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful find, would highly recommend.Quiet location,10 minute walk to the main square. Staff are very friendly, knowledge and nothing was to much trouble.
Spotlessly clean, everything you need for a great stay.
Ideally placed for the port and Mirana Grande, where there are the most amazing fish restaurants.
And 5 minutes to the station.

Highly recommended this accommodation as a base for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. Its just a 15 minute stroll into the center of Sorrento. Spotlessly clean with large comfortable rooms that had everything we needed. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would absolutely stay again when visiting Sorrento.

Staff were extremely helpful and the room was excellent but there was building work starting early each morning directly outside our windows. But, overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful modern air conditioned Apartment block, located 5 mins walking distance from main part of Sorrento.

Easy walk to local bars, food shops, and large supermarket.

Excellent local family restaurant close by if you want something really authentic. Side street slightly noisy (scooters etc, as in all Italian resorts, but no problem, and once electric window shutters are closed at night we slept perfectly)

Clean self catering Apartments with everything you need.

Very comfortable king size bed, we have never slept so well. Twin property with the luxury Grand Hotel Riviera so standards are very high.

We much prefer a s/c apartment and living like a local, instead of sterile Hotels that can be some distance away from town.

Sorrento area tips - Town is large, easily walkable, clean and feels very safe.

Pompeii - get a guided half day or full day tour to get the best out of it and know what you are looking at.

Rather than use the crowded buses, and congested coast road, or trains, we mostly used the excellent regular ferry services from Sorrento Port. Also gives you beautiful views of the Bay of Naples and Amalfi Coast not visible from land.

There are steep steps down to Sorrento Port, (not too bad going down we found) and if needed a public lift is also available in the Gardens at about 1 euro 20 cents / person. We did the steps down and lift back ......

it is possible to visit Capri (get an early start guided tour to get ahead of the crowds and get the best experience)

Also try and use the ferry services for day trips to Amalfi, Positano, and Naples.

Naples - despite its dodgy reputation, its large main shopping street and 1 street back are ok, and vibrant Naples is well worth a visit. Side street Pizza restaurants etc are superb, but be very aware and sensible where you go to, and be very careful with shoulder bags and of risk of theft and pickpockets etc. We went on a Sunday and it was nicely busy, edgy and great fun.

Train is also an option and very cheap, but often crowded and slow. We had a nice afternoon in the small town of Vico Equense (20 mins, only 5 stops from Sorrento ). Lovely local bakeries and restaurants (Tigabelas is excellent for home made Pizzas, etc) and lovely Ice cream Parlour in the main square.

Very walkable to Tasso Piazza. Great restaurants nearby also!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Rota Suites and would give it more than 5 stars if we could! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was next level. A special shoutout to the incredible concierge staff, Georgia and Raffaella, who went above and beyond to make our family of five feel welcome and comfortable. They were kind enough to offer us an upgrade that perfectly suited our needs and made such a difference to our experience. Throughout our stay, they helped us organise tours, assisted with the washing facilities, and were always ready with a smile and a warm conversation. Their genuine care and friendliness made us feel like valued guests every single day. A huge thank you also to Luisa from the cleaning team, whose attention to detail was impeccable. The suite was spotless and maintained to a very high standard during our stay. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location—just a short walk to the bustling main street full of shops, cafes, and restaurants. It's the perfect base to explore Sorrento. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rota Suites to anyone visiting the area. The service, cleanliness, and overall experience were simply outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!

We've just got home from a week in Sorrento at Rota suites. Wow! We were in apartment no.13 which was at the end of the corridor so quiet with no passing guests. Our experience was excellent. Spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable and the staff are wonderful. It's perfectly located for the centre and amenities. We would 100% recommend this lovely accommodation and thank you again.
