We booked this hotel expecting 5 Star treatment. We arranged trsfr from ferry to hotel they sent a very nice man in a tiny Fiat for 2 people and luggage. I have been staying at the Buja for several years, usually opting for the more modern, upgraded rooms instead of the older, carpeted ones. The quality of the rooms remains excellent, and the location is very central. However, I've noticed a decline in the consistency of the service and that the hotel overall is beginning to show its age.

The quilt and bedding are made of synthetic fiber, and the toilet paper is very thin like the ones used in public toilets. The bed sheet is torn. After turning off the lights at night, I found that the door of the room was open, and the wind and sound from the corridor blew into the room. This hotel cut corners on details everywhere. Maybe this kind of fashion hotel is more fake five-star.

We are staying locally at an air bnb for the Winter Olympics. We came for drinks last night on my 50th birthday. Even though we are not staying, the bar staff gave me a small birthday pudding with a candle and the service was impeccable. We are back today for post Olympic drinks and have now booked for dinner later this evening. Again, all staff amazing but in particular Nicola - he has been fantastic...

Beautiful hotel, very nice staff, excellent breakfast, fantastic views. nice spa and gym. also very close to main shopping and restaurant area.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Cortina was exceptional. Luca, his front desk staff and the restaurant staff were professional and so nice. We will stay here upon our visit each year. Thank you!
