We had a great 3-night stay. Restaurant serves great food, excellent breakfast. Dinner is open to locals and good value with an excellent reputation. Our room was in the main building with balcony views of the pool and ocean. Parking is easy and on site. Thoroughly recommended.

We loved our stay at Hotel Borgo Di Santa Barbara. Easily communicated with hotel manager Martina throughout the duration of our stay through WhatsApp - scheduling transit and shuttles from Aurelio (staff). They were extremely nice our entire stay. We had to stay at this property unexpectedly after our other accommodations fell through and we discovered a gem! The owner greeted us and checked us in early upon arrival. We had a very good stay. We reserved a room for persons with disabilities, it was rather tight although very clean and suitable to our needs. However, we strongly suggest adding a curtain/barrier to the shower, a water spill in the bathroom poses a slippery/accident risk for people in a wheelchair and their helpers. A truly strange five-star hotel. Nice, right on the sea or rather on the state road and then the sea. A little lost in nowhere. For short stays I recommend it. What is terrible, but not their fault, are the constant fires they light and therefore in the evening the air is unbreathable, not to mention toxic. I was really impressed with the chalet I had. Two bedrooms and a kitchen area. I could have used more seating in the kitchen living area. Service was excellent, efficient and friendly. The location was a bit too isolated for a single holidaymaker who could not drive but this was advertised in the TUI brochure. I had a lovely time.

Fantastic experience that was recommended to us by Elena during our visit to Venice. The secluded beach was serene and the staff friendly and accommodating. There is a Michelin rated restaurant on the premises. No need to go anywhere else. We stayed, relaxed and were pampered by the staff.

We stayed at this beautiful resort for five days in July. We loved the architecture and style of the resort. If you appreciate something special, this is the place for you. Having never been to Calabria, we had open minds. Recommended by our travel agent, Hotel Savant suited our needs perfectly. Saverio (Sav) and brother Antonio (ant) provided friendly, inclusive and responsive hospitality. In fact, Saverio was our driver and tour guide one day. Pros: perfect for couples. Parking available. Amazing view. Private and quiet. Attentive staff. Cons: the building and the common areas need maintenance and some love. The AC in our room did not work properly. They only give you one keycard, so the AC turns on when you come in to the room. Not ideal after spending the day at the beach or in town.

The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the Parghelia train station/approximately €1 train ride to Tropea. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, but be close to Tropea this is a good option. We often didn’t see a need to leave the resort as the food was great, amenities were decent, and staff is friendly (especially the restaurant staff).

Oasis of peace Beautiful, quiet retreat just a short 5 min taxi ride into bustling Tropea. We had 3 rooms but some were much smaller. The resort is a retreat for peace. But note: no store on site, limited access to food only during meal times & the beach is a climb down, very small & no service only chairs & umbrellas. Still a great spot. Pool is beautiful!

This property was perfect for a stay after a long day of travel. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast the next morning should not be missed. I wish I could have taken this hotel with us at the rest of our trip! Highly recommend.

We stayed in the family suite on the fourth floor and our room was beautiful and so very spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the beach. Rain showed in the bathroom was awesome, all the facilities were modern and the staffs were friendly and so very helpful. Parking was easy and secure. We love it here. Highly recommended.

Overall good value for money, you can choose between swimming pool and the beach (although not big one). Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the grounds, the pool was clean and fun. The beach was a bit short, not the water clean and we loved the fact that it was not deep. The area is quiet and not over touristy. The location is good, near the beach and a nice walk to old town. Quite nice activities especially in the pool area. The hotel is very crowded and noisy but still ok standard. Some of the staff are nice and polite whereas some are rude and not serviceminded at all. We went to visit Tropea but were relying on Public Transport to move around; considering that, the location was not SUPER IDEAL, but the neighborhood is quiet and well lit so walking was not an issue at all and it made the rest AMAZING! The castle is amazing and you get to see it every day while you are at the beach or at the pool. Staff is friendly but not oriented to non-Italian visitors. Animation is the weak side - I often found the games dull and not exciting (example - kicking a ball to someone’s butt). Food is good, you really get to know some of the Italian cuisine. The town nearby (Le Castella) is also amazing.
