Hotel Eliseo Napoli in Naples

During our first hour in Napoli on our honeymoon me and my wife accidently went through the back door to the reception area of this hotel. We were actually staying next door and it was a total accident but yet the doorman went absolutely ballistic at us and the receptionist was useless and didn't even attempt to help us.

There's zero need to be rude like that !!! Hotel staff are supposed to be welcoming ambassadors towards travellers who come to see this amazing city. All I can say is that I think they are a disgrace to the beautiful country and the decent people who have made us feel welcome.

Unfortunately I would avoid this place in general considering what we experienced and from the other reviews I've seen we aren't the only ones who aren't pleased with the place.

I've never felt so unwelcome in another country and I've literally been to China (yes, believe it or not I actually felt more welcome in an authoritarian communist country on the other side of the world than Italy)

Do better and remind your staff members that tourists like us pay your wages and if you don't like your job then leave !!!

The worst one I ever been

Very disappointed...
Expensive compared to the amenities. Poor bedding, torn sheets, dirty shower, and clogged drain. Housekeeping leaves something to be desired, and there's no French TV channel.
Only good point: city center

I booked three days. Two days I was in room which I didn't book. Only third day they gave me my room. Birds are shouting strange sounds early morning. Fridge doesn't work. You have to ask for TV and AC remote controls at entrance and return them for sure.

Hotel gave us different room, not which I had booked. There are no items, which are necessary for me, such is fridge, table and wardrobe (they were visible on the site image). I booked exactly that room, because those items are essential for me and my child (additionally, we are four adults). Also there are no view from window, but three walls around, so it is not the room I have booked. Hotel gave me lower category room differ from which I booked. When we arrived in hotel today, they promised us, that they would change the room and give us room that I have booked, but in the evening they refused to change the room and told us that our room is occupied by other visitor. How would it be happen?

The floor was so dirty with hairs and dirt everywhere, also an used water bottle was behind the cupboard. I asked for a vacuum so i could at least do it myself and the receptionist man said he didn't have it.

The mini fridge doesn't work and they dont give you the air conditioning remote themselves.

The pillow case had two tiny holes.
We payed 588euro for 5 nights (117euro per night).
It's much better that you pay the same price for an Airbnb or another hotel even if you have to pay a bit more.

Our heater dosent work and in recepcion told me in 11 its close. Outside is 3 C, so relly cold in room. I don't recomend

Room wasn't very clean and facilities were outdated. We only stayed a night to visit Pompeii so it was fine, but my main issue was with the whole of naples being a dump if anything
