Reviews
Modern hotel, a little be expensive
The breakfast in the fine dining restaurant was perfect with more large windows, stunning views, excellent food and a very professional staff.
On our anniversary day we relaxed by the pool for awhile in the afternoon. When we got to our room the staff had sent us a bottle of champagne in a bucket of ice with a handwritten note of congratulations! It was a nice surprise and really made us feel special.
All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you!
For a relatively new hotel - why would the owners think that their guests would want to wake up to the sight of the **** of a monster cruise ship being right in their faces! The pollution these Behemoths chugged out would have blotted out the Sun but fortunately for us the wind was offshore, otherwise, I doubt I would have faired better than the locals of Pompei!
We discovered we had left our backpack in a taxi upon arrival. The hotel staff took it very seriously and immediately helped us find it. We are incredibly grateful for this! Thank you!!!
It's a great location if getting a ferry - only about a 5 minute walk. It's also a good location for exploring Napoli.
The rooms are very modern - some reviews make that a negative, but we thought the tech and the design were outstanding, including the room layout.
The top-floor pool was also great, and the bar-service while we had a few hours there was excellent. Breakfast was outstanding, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in a while.
The hotel has extremely illogical and non-transparent pricing policies. Rates fluctuate strangely depending on the day of the week and occupancy, without any prior notice or explanation.
The staff was unprofessional and constantly made mistakes with our orders. Nothing was understood the first time — we had to repeat everything at least twice. The restaurant staff consistently got at least one item wrong with every order.
Hygiene was below any acceptable standard. The room was dusty, toiletries were not replenished, and towels were not replaced regularly. You expect a much higher level of service from a hotel in this category.
What was especially concerning is that they lost the copies of our IDs, which they themselves had taken upon check-in — a serious breach of data privacy.
On departure, we requested a car with a large trunk due to our heavy luggage, but they sent a small vehicle that barely fit our bags.
Overall, our stay was stressful and unpleasant. The hotel does not live up to its high rating and pricing. We would not return and do not recommend it.
* None of the rooms had shower gel supplied. When I asked for shower gel, there was a shrug and sigh from the receptionist and they reluctantly asked for house keeping to bring it. 45 mins later I returned o reception as it had not arrived.
* The room was missing its directory card so I didn’t know which phone number to call for reception.
* The taps were very loose, the cupboard door was hanging off and half the shower head jets were blocked and clogged.
* House maid removed one of my wifes beauty products. We were accused by Marta of placing it near the bin and therefore confusing the maid
* First morning at breakfast, pastries were provided for my wife and I. My daughter later joined us and asked for pastries, however Antonio told us that “we had enough to share”.
* Second breakfast, order was incorrect and arrived all together despite ordering in 3 logical steps (pastries/fruit/hot). Only one set of cutlery was provided for all of the breakfast and no plates were provided. The coffee was cold and old, indicated by low temp and lack of crema (looked like filter coffee). Antonio was completely miserable and not interested in us and was walking off whilst we were still giving the order-this is why it was wrong as he was not listening. No waiters were smiling at all.
* Dinner on the terrace was met with the same miserable, bored and disengaged waiter. This turned out to be the F&B manager.
The list goes on and on- emailed hotel with complaints and not a single acknowledgmen.
We dined at their Michelin starred restaurant, every morning for breakfast and it was truly exceptional. The eggs Benedict with the thinnest crispiest bacon was outstanding and the espresso drinks were perfection. Dinner was also an unforgettable experience, with top tier service throughout. Chef Alan is a master.
The spa, which is included with the stay, was another highlight. Beautifully designed and so relaxing.
Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. Cannot wait to come back.
