This is a decent hotel for the traveller who wants to experience the real Naples. Convenient location close to main train station and circumvesuviana regional train station to Pompeii and Sorrento. Plenty of dining options nearby. Staff ranges from OK to great. Unfortunately they do not have a safe in the rooms which I found very inconvenient.

Excellent location, nearby restaurants and central station. All staff are very friendly especially those gentlemen from front desk and the old lady from housekeeping.

Very busy downtown traffic location. The most important thing is to mention that the lobby is on the 4th floor! This is inconvenient with luggage. The staff is pleasant, but it should also be mentioned that they are not open 24/7. Also the nearest parking is blocks away.

Lovely clean room friendly staff. It is essentially 1 floor of an old building. It's hard to find so be sure you look for the address then ring the buzzer.

It was fairly easy to get to by bus and Metro. But I only had one small bag, I wouldn't recommend doing this with big luggage. It cost 5 euro for the bus to the train station/metro station then 1.20 euro for the Metro. It's a 2-3 minute walk from the station. The guy downstairs of the building is rude, but managed to get him to tell me where to go. This place is on the 4th floor and it's confusing...

Our stay was very good, the rooms were lovely, clean, air conditioned and the facilities were excellent. We were right next to the train station so in a very good area. The hosts were amazing and gave plenty of recommendations, they really couldn’t do enough! Salvatore was a “diamond”

We loved our stay at mergellina. it was in a very good location. Close to the promenade and close to very good eating establishments. Mr. Onoracio was very funny and made us feel welcomed. A well priced hotel. I had a comfortable and large room - I slept well every night I was there. I’ve stayed here 3/4 times over the years and it’s perfectly placed for me. I run to Piazza Plebiscito and back again early. It’s cheap to get a taxi/uber into the centre and walking along the bay is beautiful at sunset.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Mergellina. Great location, steps from public transportation, restaurants, the lungo mare. Very quiet hotel, no may rooms, quiet and wonderful staff. My only suggestion would be to have a better shower for space and water flow. This is a great hotel for those experimenting with their Italian language capabilities. It is fantastic value and there is a great shop just across the road that has anything the tourist will need, including some fantastic local produce. The rooms are generous and location is great. Located in a sports complex with training pool and gym. Services though a little lacking. You get soap and a haicap only. Even though 2 people per room we got only 1 to owel and had to ask for more each day.

Called ahead asking for self parking. They did not inform me it was actually valet parking only. And they also did not inform us how tricky it is to drive to the garage itself. This is located in the historic district which is wonderful to visit, but I recommend to not drive here. Friendly night staff! The room was nice but cleaning could have been better (dusty corners and dirty bathroom).

Two nights stay in this b&b in a central location, near via Chiaia. Equipped with a slightly narrow elevator, however I found the room clean, quiet and comfortable, well-kept bathroom, spacious with large shower. Decent breakfast in a somewhat limited environment. Courteous staff.

We reserved the luxury room-not luxury at all- although there is space the layout is awkward with the bed placing. Tiny windows, no view. Facing the busy street so you hear every single car drive by. The hotel is enough for a couple of days in Naples,close to the Main train station, and is a secure place in a bit of a dangerous area. Recommended for a couple of nights. The room is quite ok, just balconies normally on a cheap fare it will be looking at some hairbrithing. Historical charm, but needs some updates Amazing facilities. Not everyday you get to stay at a former palace residence, but some of the amenities could be updated. The beds were not very comfortable. This is a wonderful place for short stays in Naples. The accommodations are sufficient and Marco was an excellent host. The outside was a little scary upon arrival due to poor lighting and unclear directions, but once we were settled, all was great.

No-one to check in, didn’t see one person in our 2 day stay. Felt dusty and old. Hairdryer was botched and stuck on with brown tape in bathroom. This place is great! You have easy walking distance transport and sight seeing and the owner and staff is very friend and helpful. The room is nicely themed, clean, has TV, blow dryer, WiFi, balcony, in-room shower and everything is clean and tidy. I recommend this place whole heartedly

We stayed two nights at the end of November in the suite. It offered a good value for money and was located just steps from Piazza del Plebiscito, Via Toledo, and the Spanish Quarter. The daily housekeeping was excellent. The owner was very kind and let us leave our luggage on the last day after we checked out. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. Quite central and nicely furnished. There is a common area shared among the guests which consists of a kitchen, a living room, and a balcony. Breakfast is self service, but decent. There's no reception but someone will be there to greet you when you arrive.

This hotel is in a very convenient location near Piazza Garibaldi, just walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel room was not clean. The bedsheets had stains, and my friend got bug bites after sleeping there for one night. The bathroom in the room was also not clean. Since we stayed at this hotel for four days and three nights, when we returned the next day, we found hair and water stains all over the bathroom floor. The paper cups for rinsing were not replaced.

The structure of the building is old and needs renovation. Little amenities are provided, such as kettle, is not included. The law and order around the location is a bit concerning, but I think that applies to Naples in general too. If you are more loose on your budget, opt for hotels near Santa Lucia area.

There were no problems with the hotel facilities or services. However, the location and the fact that there were only stairs were honestly quite difficult. In particular, I had a lot of trouble finding the hotel at first. Everything else was fine.
