Village Camping Santa Fortunata - Campogaio in Sorrento

Had a wonderful 4 night stay in a Safari tent here last month. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget friendly alternative place to lay your head whilst exploring the infamously expensive Sorrento and Amalfi coast. It is a beautiful part of the world! The camp is rustic, basic even, but it does the job. It has some really wonderful views. Theres a great pool to swim or sunbathe by, and the shuttle bus into Sorrento is a godsend.
Few points for improvement: We’d have loved if there was a golf buggy shuttle around the camp a few times an hour to get us back to reception, as the walk is more than a little treacherous from some areas, and definitely not suitable to anyone with mobility issues. The communal toilet and shower blocks were clean and functional, but some extra hooks to hang things would be helpful. The safari tent would’ve really benefitted from a bench or a table inside, and again, hooks to hang things from, as there were no surfaces to put anything on. Over all, it’s better than I expected for the price, would absolutely stay again, but a few small tweaks could improve things significantly.

Very nice and helpfull staff. The sanitary places were almost always perfectly clean and everything they offer is very great. The animation team was amazingly good with kids and they clearly did their best to pay attention to every child. It's a little pricey, but everything was well-organised and overall a very great camping.

The little comfort tents were the all we needed in our little stay in Sorrento. Everything was so clean and the shared bathrooms were spacious and close to our site. It was nice to have the option for a beach and a pool too! The Shuttle bus service was very convenient with pick up right in the city. Maybe a reminder on the booking before we arrived could be helpful as we didn’t see in the moment but nevertheless very efficient. If you like camping you have to try it at Santa Fortuna!

Very nice campsite with a view over Sorrento. Some spots have a direct view over the bay towards Sorrento. We also appreciated the shuttle service into town. The camping beach is a bit of a climb but there a quite a few fishes in the sea for someone who likes to swim with his head under the water. But there is also a pool which is much easier to reach. We visited in June and the campsite was quite relaxed. Probably very busy here in summer. Better check if there is a place available before coming over!

One of the best spots I have stayed in!! The Comfort Tent was all I needed. Tidy, clean, handy little fridge, peaceful, and the shuttle service they have going into town all day makes life easier too. Good showers, cleaning is upkept. Highly recommend - value for money! Remember to bring your own towels though.

As perfect as last time

Staff are extra friendly and could not do enough to help.
Our chalet was excellent with a really powerful shower but best of all had a fantastic view of the sea.  

Regular bus service to the town at a reasonable price

I would fully recommend and hope to come back
