An apartment with three bedrooms, large bathroom, and a kitchen half-way between Castel Sant'angelo and the basilica of San Pietro. Well served by public transport (from termini train station, take the 40 and then make a 5-minute walk). If you want to save something the council spending at supermarkets nearby and the kitchen in the apartment. Priority available and friendly.

Great Hotel, and Greater Rooftop Restaurant Garden. Nice location near the Vatican. 3 floor hotel room with a Beautiful view. Breakfast is a must, this Restaurant view will extend your time sitting at the Restaurant just enjoying the view.

We stayed there with our young daughter the first week of December. The room was a bit cold (but hey, we're Canadian. lol), and there was no phone or TV, so amenities, not so much. Perfect for us though, because we just used the room for sleeping. However, it's a beautiful old building, with a really cool old elevator running up the middle of the stairwell. Beds were comfy and clean, and as we were in a room facing the street, we could actually see the dome from our window. About 100 feet from the front door to the hotel Atlante.

Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, and included really good fresh cappucino on request. The serving staff we dealt with mostly (Veronica and Francesco) were equally great and I would recommend this B&B based on our experience with those two alone. As noted in other reviews, there seems to be one desk clerk that is extremely helpful and friendly, while the other was not so much. I didn't get their names so I can't say which is which.

The hotel is located about a 5 minute walk from the Basilica (St. Peter Square), the Vatican Museum, the Castel Sant'Angelo, while other attractions, like the Trevi Fountain are maybe a 30 minute walk. If you're coming from North America, I would highly recommend making use of jetlag, as we were walking around at 4 - 6:00 in the morning and hit half a dozen of the outdoor attractions in a twilight sort of setting, with literally no one around. St. Peter's was empty, the Trevi fountain we took pictures with no one else in view, it was great.

However, the real star of our trip in experience was having that great breakfast every day, with a beautiful view of the dome at St. Peter's. I have to mention Veronica and Francesco in the restaurant again because I was really impressed with them.
