Hotel Max in Rome

Just look at the photos and pass judgement. The worst hotel i have ever booked in my life. Sitting on the toilet scared me....

Hotel is failing to honor voucher they gave to us during pandemic last year by simply ignoring all attempts to contact them. They simply will not answer phone or emails sent by us or third parties. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

The rooms are normalitas, the area is a bit regular and the stairs to the hotel are open to all the world, and every night we find groups of people with bad pints sitting in them, drinking or even droganse

Liked - Location was the Only positive thing.

Disliked -The room doesNOT look like the way they have shown it in photographs on Booking.com website!
- I kept my passport in safe/locker and before keeping I tested it by closing it and opening it using the code. The next day, when I tried to open it, it didn't open despite showing "opened" on screen. When I complained about it at the reception, the guy said, " WHY DID YOU PUT YOUR PASSPORT INTO THE LOCKER?" We had a heated argument over it and he said, he will call police! The locker was later opened within an hour.
-The first day I had to stand 25 minutes at the reception because the hotel did not receive my advance payment through Booking.com. I was tired after long journey and was sweating.
-As soon as I entered the room, I realised that the AC was NOT cooling enough. I complained at the reception and the girl said, it can only be fixed next day! So they charge full payment but do not check if AC is working Ok or NOT. Then I received a call from Berlin (Booking.com) where I was asked to pay the hotel money once again on the spot and they asked me to bear the heat and sleep one night with non-functional AC as it was late. They promised to fix the AC next day.
-The next morning all lights went off and when I complained the guy said, "this happens when it rains".
- I was staying in double room #2 on fifth floor and I literally had to wrestle in order to open the door.
- In morning you will wake up by the room service ladies who talk so loud as the storage for bed sheets and other stuff was also on fifth floor.
