Hotel Igea in Rome

The location is great, as it is within walking distance of the Main Train station, which provides access to almost anywhere in Rome. There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The room is old but okay for solo travelers. The CR is a bit small. There is an elevator, but it does not stop on the main floor, so you still need to take the stairs to reach your designated floor (if you press the 5th floor, you will arrive at a floor that is one level of stairs down from your actual floor, which is the 5th floor, or one set of stairs up if 6th)). Only check-in guests may enter the room; no visitors are allowed. Breakfast is okay. If you are leaving late and want to roam around on your check out date you can leave your luggage at the hotel and pick it up when you are about to leave Rome.

The hotel is well located, within walking distance of the train station and some historical sites. The hotel is quite old, there was no refrigerator in the room.

Nice place! The room was clean.

Considering the age of the building and the price, the room quality was as expected. However, the staff were cheerful and kind, and the breakfast, though simple, was really good. We had a room with two single beds, and while the beds were quite narrow, they were surprisingly comfortable and easy to sleep in.

Oke overall I give 4 stars rating. Next rating is location, just few steps from Roma Termini train station, walking distance to most of restaurant from typical Italian food resto to KFC or McDonald, just around the corner - and only around 20 minutes walk to Colloseum Rome Italy, so location deserve 5 stars rating. Then the room sufficiently 4 stars, as I got quite clean room, as you can see in my picture. Service I give 3 stars as the reception said check in at 14.00 and didn't give me early check in when I arrived around 12.00, then few other guests arrived and immediately get the room, when I came to the reception asking if my room is ready, he said yes it's ready and he did not see me, while actually I sit in their lobby sofa for like more than 1 hour. If it is only for rest and sleep overnight - as most of the time you will go around Roma city centre - this hotel serve the needs. If it's for comfort and pleasure holiday or longer stay (as 7 stars google reviewer) I would suggest to add a bit and get a better rating hotel.

Staff are friendly and helpful..Very good location and I highly recommend it.
