Hotel Igea in Rome

Nice place! The room was clean.

Considering the age of the building and the price, the room quality was as expected. However, the staff were cheerful and kind, and the breakfast, though simple, was really good. We had a room with two single beds, and while the beds were quite narrow, they were surprisingly comfortable and easy to sleep in.

Oke overall I give 4 stars rating. Next rating is location, just few steps from Roma Termini train station, walking distance to most of restaurant from typical Italian food resto to KFC or McDonald, just around the corner - and only around 20 minutes walk to Colloseum Rome Italy, so location deserve 5 stars rating. Then the room sufficiently 4 stars, as I got quite clean room, as you can see in my picture. Service I give 3 stars as the reception said check in at 14.00 and didn't give me early check in when I arrived around 12.00, then few other guests arrived and immediately get the room, when I came to the reception asking if my room is ready, he said yes it's ready and he did not see me, while actually I sit in their lobby sofa for like more than 1 hour. If it is only for rest and sleep overnight - as most of the time you will go around Roma city centre - this hotel serve the needs. If it's for comfort and pleasure holiday or longer stay (as 7 stars google reviewer) I would suggest to add a bit and get a better rating hotel.

Great value for money. This hotel is in a great location, only about 20 minutes walking distance from Colloseum and Trevi fountain and about 2 minutes away from the main train station which has lots of connections to the rest of Rome.

The rooms are basic but they do the job: they are clean, beds are comfy, and they are quiet. Rooms have AC, mirrors, TV’s, safe, extra blankets, hair dryers, towels.

The staff are very sweet and will try their best to help you (despite English not always being too good!). Alex from reception is lovely, he always made us smile when we saw him. :)

The breakfast was simple and standard, it’s very convenient if you have a big family or just want something quick, but I’d recommend passing on it and finding something at a local cafe!

The area is full of tourists, but it’s quiet at night. Lots of shops, gifts shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. Good connections with the bus and underground too.
