Grand Hotel Plaza

I stayed 2 nights for business.

LIGHTS
The halls on the ground floor are spectacular, and can - by themselves - make for a memorable stay in this hotel.
Also the location is very convenient, if you want to stay in the full centre of Rome.

SHADOWS
My room (but, in general, the hotel exudes an aura of "shabby", which, unfortunately, goes beyond the pleasure of preserving old things, the cost of a few imperfections.
And so carpeting and carpets give off a bit of the bad smell, the tablet of the bathroom is broken and "sways" uncomfortably, the shower loses water, the TV is old and with few channels, the pillows are uncomfortable (the bed, but no: it's very valid), and so on....
The staff is friendly and willing, but the service has so many smudges, so breakfast is missing easily some laid on tables, and you are waiting 50 minutes for a club sandwich in the room (with an estimate of 20 minutes).
The WiFi was in my room, and unfortunately, even the phone... for which remains isolated.
And other small (but many) stumbles, which, however, creates a general atmosphere of decay, and a certain discomfort.

A pity, because the potential of the hotel is remarkable.

The only good thing of this hotel is the location.
In the Via del Corso, where the shops most popular. The amenities, very poor. You only placed a single soap and a champo during your whole stay. Towels not changed, to me put me on the 2nd night only 1 and we were 2 people. Hotel a little old, typical of a hotel of the historic centre. The decor is interesting, very similar to the one that you find in a palace, is not bad only that they lack restoration.
Only he would return by the proximity to places of interest.
