Hotel Oxford in Rome

I only leave honest reviews full stop Me and my wife just got back last night from 4 nights here at the Hotel Oxford is not a 4 star it’s a 2 star with a life 100% overall the room was ok 2.5 out of 5 it could be an easy 5 if updated with basic things Room needs at a must 1 - Information pack 2 - kettle 3 - working TV or radio Staff Member are all welcoming an do a great job with what there have it’s a fact you’ll always get a smile and hello how are you from everyone so overall staff 5 out of 5 Food at the hotel is not good at all ( breakfast is poor ) we didn’t eat lunch so I will therefore I will pass no judgement on it but evening dinner was not good to say your in a city where food is a passion an cooked with love this hotel gets a 0.5 out of 5 for food Food needs work immediately Breakfast don’t pay for it go to the shop next door and get box of cereal fresh baked bits and milk some iced coffee and juice you be better off trust me Lunch you’ll eat out in Rome 25 euro each you eat will and drink fine Dinner eat out don’t waste your money the hotel is not worth what your missing out side So go out and eat There’s little pizza restaurant not 250 maters away from the hotel the place is amazing the food is incredible the staff speak so many languages you’ll be amazed how easy it is to just relax in there the price is to fair 50 to 60 euros for food and drinks for two The restaurant address is in the brackets ( Via Calabria, 23, 00187 Roma RM, Italy ) So with all that said I’d definitely not recommend this to first time traveler’s or families

The hotel was very dirty, it wasn't cleanded in a while. Our room was terrible, pictures are not true to what we got. Small room with no space, bathroom was so small you almost couldn't fit in there. Breakfast terrible, every day the same with no taste. Location was very good, you had a small 30 minutes walk to fountain de trevi, one hour walk to Vaticans. Service was ok but very dissapointed that they could not speak english and was very hard to make them understand you. I will not come back and recomend everyone to book some other hotel.

Positives: The staff are lovely and we enjoyed the location. Negatives: The room was nothing like those online. Breakfast was truly terrible. I’m not sure if the room was meant to have a/c, the controls were there but no cooling. Staff are the only thing that made this place tolerable. Needs investment by the owners. It will pay dividends.

Not a 4 Star Hotel, no better than a cheap budget hotel. Rooms not as shown on website. Scruffy with dirty marks on walls. Floors under bed filthy and TV covered in dust. Very thin walls can hear people in next room going to toilet. Dirty warm carpets in corridors. Loose stair carpets. Shower door doesn’t close properly therefore water leaks all over floor In need of renovation
