The location was decent, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The reception staff were friendly, but the restaurant staff were not particularly welcoming.
What disappointed me most was the housekeeping. I specifically requested room cleaning for the second day, but nobody came. The dirty cups were left untouched, and no fresh towels were provided. For a room costing around €240, I expected better service.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The breakfast is complete and of very good quality.
The best part of the hotel is its staff. Everyone is highly professional and strongly focused on customer service. It was a very positive and pleasant experience.
I highly recommend this hotel.
First and most importantly, there is a serious data security issue. Before my arrival, my personal details (name, phone number, and exact travel dates) were leaked, resulting in a targeted phishing attempt via WhatsApp. I emailed the hotel twice to warn them, but received no reply. When the issue was raised directly with the hotel staff, it was noted, but there was a complete lack of follow-up, reassurance, or even a basic apology from the management regarding the data leak. Ignoring a guest's concern about data privacy is highly unprofessional.
As for the hotel itself, it offers very poor value for money. The room was extremely small (practically the size of a matchbox) with outdated furniture. The bathroom was uncomfortably narrow, and the shower cabin was defective, leaking water heavily onto the floor during every shower.
The only positive note is the excellent location and the nice local restaurants nearby, but this definitely does not justify the premium price and the complete lack of proper customer care and maintenance. I will not be returning.
However, my partner, our friends, family member, and I didn’t agree to the rating of 4 stars. The front desk, situated up on the 3rd floor, required an elevator or stairs after arriving from a long day on a high-speed train with heavy luggage, deemed unacceptable. Staff spoke English well and were polite and welcoming.
Just like most elevators in Europe, they are quite small—enough to fit 3-4 passengers sans luggage. The rooms were well maintained and included all the hygiene amenities. The air conditioner was adequate but slow, with no instructions on how to use it.
The complimentary breakfast was a traditional Italian-style one with lots of bread, pastries, fruit, and meat. It is mostly full service, and the hosts were amazing.
We wouldn't recommend it for first-time travelers to Rome because the main attractions are 25-30 min walks on average.
Because of the expensive prices in Rome, I had to stay in a slightly remote location, but I think I will stay here again next time I go! The most memorable thing was the friendly staff, and it was even better because it was quiet and there weren't many people.
