I booked for 2 weeks, but this hostel was so bad I checked-out after the first week without a refund. Air conditioning was not working for 2 days and I couldn't sleep. They fixed it, no problem. Bunk beds were so cheap that my roommates were praying they wouldn't fall over while climbing :), ok, no problem as I was in the lower bed. Room is so dusty and dirty, which is something I couldn't handle after 1 week.
I try my best to be a reasonable person. I asked the reception (super friendly) that from this 7 remaining days, can you keep my money for 4 days and refund me ONLY the last 3 days? Reception called the supervisor, and the supervisor refused. No apology, no alternative solution, no refund of the last 3 days, nothing. Receptionist was friendly and apologized, but I was so surprised to see how unreasonable a supervisor can be.
I think this is not a fair situation, but I guess that's just life sometimes :)
