Rocca Castello B&B in Taormina

Philip and Umberto are amazing hosts who go the extra mile to make you welcome. From the breakfast (the best coffee I experienced in Sicily) to arranging tours (ask them to book a tour with David - our day with him on Etna, followed by wine tasting at a local winery was exceptional), restaurant bookings, and even laying on a surprise glass of prosecco for our anniversary breakfast - they couldn't do more for us. The property is ideally located to explore Taormina with a beautiful living area and delightful garden where you can relax looking across views to the Greek Theatre and coast.

Fresh local breakfast with herbs from the garden - beautifully prepared and presented. This B&B have only one room - so you have your own garden and living room - and you are staying with two fantastic owners - who will help you 24/7 with what you need. If you are famous you can stay here 100% anonymous with no disturbance and good privacy. This is much better than any 5 star hotel - personal service is better than Burj Al Arab. If you are interested in history, culture and local restaurants - Philip and Umberto are there four you. Best place to stay in Sicily for couples, history lovers , famous and rich people. Wifi network speed was measured to 20 Mbps - in both directions - which was fine for us. Location is good. Everything here is hidden in the details - so you should also take good care of the property (and owners) ! Not suited for noisy uncultivated people.

The two days we stayed with Philip and Umberto were the highlight of our trip to Sicily. There are not enough words to thank for the help and concern and attention that these two lovely people have given us. Starting from contact before we arrived. Go through an amazing house full of beauty and love that looks like a museum and much of which has been made available to us. Parking next to the car. Help choosing restaurants. Help organizing a trip to Mount Etna. Registration for a corona test and above all a company. Pleasant and interesting long conversations. What more could you ask for?

In September 2021 we visited Taormina and stayed with Philip and Umberto for nine nights. From the extremely tasteful and detailed furnishings to the fantastically designed garden, the two also take great care of their guests. They always had the best destinations ready, reserved the nicest restaurants for us and you could have the nicest conversations with the two of them. Here you are clearly visiting friends! :) If we could rate it with eleven points out of ten, we would give it immediately!

An absolutely great B&B and a fairly unique experience too! Hosts Philip and Umberto act more like friends. Their place is also stunning. Breakfast is tasty, beds are comfortable and conversation stimulating! The B&B is also in a great location for exploring Taomia.

We stayed with Philip and Umberto for 12 days. Our hosts could not be surpassed in terms of helpfulness and warmth. Her hospitality knew no bounds. Cleanliness and comfort are really not to beat. We have been to many locations but this surpasses many if not to say everything. The shared - unbeatable - all homemade breakfast - was a blast. We can warmly and with a clear conscience recommend the Rocca Castello. Sicily - Taormina - Philip - Umberto - a glass of Prosecco in their beautiful garden - and nothing else. This is vacation - this is pure relaxation. Your dearest and best hosts read the rest from your lips anyway.
