Fantastic location. Very clean.
Isolated in the woods. Exceptional welcome, availability of the owner to pick us up and take us.
The only flaw is that since the road is very steep and unpaved, it is not suitable for street bikes and low-trim machines.

Beautiful place, great hosts. Our residence was fully equipped and the picturesque garden offers a beautiful view. I recommend it to everyone who wants to relax in a quiet place near Florence.

Just loved it! Serenity, good air, nature and farm life. Thick stone walls that keep inside temperature low compared to 36degress outside (in July), full kitchen amenities, nicely decorated, nice terrace for wonderful evenings. Highly recommended for people that love nature, detachment from urban noise and stress. Just bring some chemicals to repel mosquitos, plenty of them. Ascent uphill from Dicomano easily manageable after 1 day.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, 3Kms from Dicomano, with views of mountains and of the river Sieve. Fruit trees, vegetables and vines grow on slopes under the watchful eyes of hens and the farm's herd of Limousin cattle. The apartment is located overlooking a lovely garden, with scents of rosemary and lavender wafting on the breeze, when there is a breeze. There is a lovely terrace with plenty of seating and a table for outdoor dining.

The apartment is large, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, electric oven, double sink, fridge-freezer, kitchen table for 8-10, a huge fireplace and a wood-burning oven. Condiments etc are provided, including the farm's own olive oil, which is delicious. Downstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. We used two double rooms which had huge, comfortable beds, lovely furniture, and shuttered windows. The downstairs bathroom has a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. We did not see the two bedrooms or the bathroom upstairs but I'm sure the photos accurately reflect those rooms because they represent the rooms downstairs perfectly. WIFI is available and is free. There is a flat-screen TV with a good selection of Italian channels and a couple of English-speaking channels. We missed having access to a news channel in English but otherwise we didn't miss watching television for two weeks - we chatted and read and enjoyed the views of the mountains in the evenings instead. There was no washing machine but there was a laundry room with a deep sink and a clothes airer which we used - the sun dried things in a couple of hours.

It would be wrong to review this property without mentioning the hosts - they added so much to our experience and were so warm and helpful. It was obvious they genuinely cared that we enjoyed our stay and they went out of their way to make my little boy welcome. They couldn't have done more for us and are very special people.

We loved our time here and I really hope we'll be back some day.
