Both hotels I booked in Italy this time were excellent. Although this one is on the other side of the river, the bus stop is right at the doorstep, and it's not a long walk to cross over. It offers incredibly good value for money. Despite being an old building, it's beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They have a coffee corner, happy hour, and you can even buy bus tickets at the front desk. The breakfast spread is also extensive. The staff were always smiling and seemed genuinely happy every day, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The hotel service is excellent, and it has its own parking lot, which is very convenient!

Main attractions are within a 30-minute walk. A top choice for those traveling by car.

Our perfect experience in Florence, not just one of the best!

Every room at the hotel was unique and spacious. They even upgraded us to a suite the next day – the room was comfortable and beautiful!

The service was simply perfect. There were many staff members at the front desk and restaurant; we encountered different staff members every time we went in and out. Every single one of them was incredibly welcoming. We eagerly anticipated returning to the hotel after a day of sightseeing in the city. Complimentary drinks and coffee were available in the common lounge area on the first floor – very comfortable!

The hotel's location was also excellent. We walked to the attractions every day, parked our car at the hotel, and had easy access to public transportation!

This hotel was our best experience in Italy! Highly recommended!

The absolute best place to stay!

The Staff:
The hotel starts out being phenomenal by the amazing staff here. Everyone is so welcoming, accommodating, and just so friendly. I stayed three nights, and it was cheapest to move to another room on the last night. The staff actually had my girlfriend and me just leave our luggage in the room and they moved it for us to the next room!

The Rooms:
The rooms/hotel is not brand new, which you should not expect. It has great character to it. The rooms are so clean and good sized. When cleaning the rooms, staff even tidied up little things for us such as phone chargers and such.

FOOOOD:
The unexpected thing was the aperitivo!! From 630-8 was unlimited apps and drinks! The food was great!! You can also have three drinks per day outside the aperitivo!
I only had the breakfast one day and it was also great!

Transportation: Il Duomo or downtown Florence is very walkable. Hotel David will even let you buy bus tickets for 1.50 euro which is very convenient

A truly wonderful hotel that made us fall in love with Florence even more.
We spent two beautiful days surrounded by a warm, welcoming atmosphere and incredibly kind people.
This place really makes you feel at home.
Without any doubt, this will be our choice again when we return to Florence.

My family and I stayed at Hotel David 13/10/25 to 17/10/25. I cannot express how much Chiara and Tommaso helped us out when my husband unfortunately fell in Florence just before checking in. Both Chiara and Tommaso were unbelievablely so so helpful. All staff at the hotel from the cleaners right through to reception were amazing. Marcella and her staff for breakfast were so hygienic but overall helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We have no complaints what so ever for Hotel David.

Hotel David is one of the best properties we have stayed at in our travels around the world. The staff was wonderful throughout our stay and always went out of their way to make our stay great. The room was large and comfortable for two people. The location was also great, being only a 10-15 minute walk to the main sites in Florence, as well as some good restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cozy place to stay during a trip to Florence.

We spent three nights at Hotel David in July 2025 while visiting the city for sightseeing. We booked through the hotel website and arrived mid-afternoon; check-in took about five minutes. Our double room (3rd floor) had a small balcony, a decent wardrobe, and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower. The bed was firm but comfortable and the housekeeping cleaned the room well each day. Wi-Fi worked fine in the room, though it was a bit slow at peak times. Breakfast is served from 7–10am and includes hot eggs, pastries, and fresh fruit — I recommend the scrambled eggs. The staff at reception were welcoming and helped us with a local map and bus directions. The location is handy: about a 10-minute walk to the train station and many restaurants. One issue: the elevator is small and can be slow during busy check-in times. Overall we’d give it 4/5 and would stay again for the convenient location and friendly staff.

If you have the stamina, it is located in a spot where you can visit all of Florence's major attractions on foot. Since it is outside the ZTL zone, I was able to bring my car. They provided excellent parking guidance, and the English-speaking staff were consistently kind. The quality of the food served during happy hour and breakfast was also great, making it a flawless trip. If I visit Florence again, I would definitely stay here again.
