Il Tornabuoni Unbound in Florence

Highly not recommended.

The elevator didn't reach our room directly; we had to walk to the end and then go down half a flight of stairs. Both of the last rooms were assigned to people of Asian descent.

Upon entering our room, a strong odor wafted from the bathroom. We requested a room change at the front desk but were refused. After several attempts, they agreed to change our room the next day, but didn't specify a time. The next day, we had tickets for the art museum early in the morning, and our check-in time was 3 PM, but we were told the room would only be held until 2 PM, so we couldn't change rooms again.

After some communication, we were finally given a room change on the third day. We had to call the front desk several times before getting through. This resulted in us repacking and changing our itinerary. The hotel only offered a verbal apology, without any other action or compensation. (Does the free two bottles of Coke at checkout count?) That evening, I fell and injured myself, needing gauze and iodine, which they brought quickly. I didn't want to write this bad review, but I was surprised—there was no mention of a deposit refund at checkout (we paid a cash deposit). We only remembered it when we moved to our next hotel, and there was no phone call or email message from them. The next day, when we returned to the hotel to collect our deposit, the white male receptionist coldly handed us the cash without even a verbal apology, which prompted me to write this negative review.

As a side note, our English is excellent, almost native-level, and we communicated politely throughout. This hotel is extremely overpriced at 6,000+ RMB per night, especially compared to the warm hospitality we received at other hotels.
