Hotel Bella Firenze in Florence

The only good thing about this hotel was the staff — they were kind and helpful. Apart from that, everything else was terrible. The place was dirty, old, and smelled awful. There’s no elevator, and you have to climb up to the 3rd floor with your luggage, which is ridiculous. I paid €190 for one night (on a Monday!), which is absolutely absurd for such poor conditions. Definitely not worth the price at all.

This property is more like a hostel than a hotel. Do not stay here if you are looking for any onsite service or amenities. Nothing described in the listing was available when we stayed.

We were looking for a very last minute place to stay in Florence. I booked this hotel because the listing described on site parking, breakfast and coffee in the lobby, a bar and lounge and it was in a desirable area. There were many positive reviews so I overlooked the negative ones.

The room was very dirty. There was hair and other filth all over the bathroom, the walls, shower and mirror were very dirty. The floors in the room were also dirty and the blankets for the beds were also covered in hair.

There is only a staff member on site from 3-6pm, everything else needs to be communicated through WhatsApp and that is unreliable and some questions went unanswered. When I asked the staff about the discrepancies between the listing and the property I was told that the listing was for a previous property the owner owned and the things I was asking about were not available.

Additionally, the room keys for all guests were all left on a table unattended in the lobby along with forms that clearly displayed guests first and last names, which was a serious safety concern for us as two women travelling together.

I would not recommend this property to anyone.
