We stayed in the family suite for 5 nights and our experience was wonderful. Barbara is an excellent host with a very kind heart. She took her time helping us with local tips such as sights to see, restaurants, transportation, and shopping. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with a variety of delicious cakes everyday, baked by Barbara herself. Location is in a quite neighborhood 15-20 minutes walk from most attractions. The building itself is as old as the Duomo and is well kept. We highly recommend it and will stay again when we return to Florence.

Staying at the Il Villino B & B was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is perfect for walking to all of the main sites of Florence. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Barbara, the owner of the B & B was so welcoming and helpful to us. Barbara went the extra mile to make sure that we had breakfast before we left for an early tour. She brought it to our room the night before( both days! ). Barbara cares about her clientele and it was special to us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Il Villino!

I had a wonderful 3 night stay here with my husband along with my son and his wife in their own room. We had superior rooms, and one of them had a fabulous view of the Duomo. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and convenient to all of Florence. The breakfast buffet, which is included in the price of the room, was wonderful every day. Barbara, the owner, makes many of the pastries that are served each morning, and they were delicious. She was helpful in answering our questions both before we arrived and while we were there. I saw her help another guest purchase event tickets online. This place is a treasure in the heart of Florence.

One of the best decisions we made for our week in Florence. Great quiet location, lovely owner, Barbara, who was also a super helpful concierge with wonderful recommendations. Rooms were spacious and clean, with a very efficient staff. We also loved the old world atmosphere and the delicious breakfast buffet. Barbara went out of her way to accommodate us before or after normal hours. We could not have been happier.

After thoroughly researching where to stay in Florence we opted to stay here. We are really glad that we did. The location was excellent as it was in easy walking distance of all the major sights without being on a busy or noisy street. It was in a 500+ year old building which gave it charm but everything was up to date. The room was large, very comfortable and quiet with a high quality bed. The bathroom facilities were excellent. The breakfast was fantastic with good variety of food options but also a big selection of home made baked goods which we loved. But another huge benefit was the owner who really cares about her clientele and wants you to enjoy your time in Florence. She was a font of knowledge about things to do and the restaurants. We hope to return to Florence and we certainly would like to stay here again as I don't think anywhere else could replicate the positive overall experience we had here.

This was a fabulous stay. While only one night, I wish we could have stayed longer. An amazing historical building, very comfortable, wonderful breakfast! The owner, Barbara, was wonderful! Extremely helpful, friendly and generous. I lost my wedding ring at the hotel in Venice, they found it but were unwilling to send it to me(we were leaving Florence the next morning early), so, Barbara offered to help- and help she did! The process to have a courier pick up my ring from the Venice hotel was complicated and included a lot of forms. Barbara navigated the process and managed to arrange for shipment of my ring. She went above and beyond to help me. I will never forget her kindness.

This was the 1st time traveling alone and has to have been one of the best experiences of my life. Barbara, her husband and staff made me feel so welcome and were so accommodating. The beautiful B&B is minutes from everything and I could see the Duomo from my window. I was lucky enough to have my own private balcony and sat out there many times. The breakfast included, was out of this world as Barbara loves to bake. They even provided me with great gluten free options every morning which was so refreshing and eased my stress of finding food to eat. Barbara also knew where to eat with gluten intolerant issues and had great suggestions for seeing Florence and trips outside the city. The B&B was very safe and secure and required several keys and codes to enter. As a solo female traveler, this made me feel very safe. I got to talk to Barbara on several occasions, about Florence, the B&B, herself and family and it added another layer to my Florence vacation that I think will be my best travel experience ever. I highly recommend Barbara and her B&B for an outstanding vacation in Florence.
