Dedo Boutique Hotel in Florence

A pleasant, cozy, and above all very clean small hotel in the heart of Florence. The room offered everything needed for a comfortable stay, including disposable slippers. We were lucky to be granted an early check-in; however, luggage storage is available even if you arrive before check-in or depart later. All major sights are within easy walking distance, as well as the main Santa Maria Novella train station. Breakfast was good, with food regularly replenished. The reception staff were extremely kind, helpful, and spoke excellent English. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel very close to the river and not too far from the main train station. Breakfast was great.

We were a party of 4 and got 2 rooms. 1 room had a larger shower stall. Rooms are very modern and new.

Minus 1 star because of my encounter with the older man at reception who very rudely scolded me for using the key to open the door to reception when in fact, this was the instruction when we checked in without the explanation that this was only to be done at night. Left a very sour taste in my mouth but thankfully the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful.

Be ready to carry your luggage a few steps up to get to the lift.

I had a great stay. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a building. It was quite confusing at first but you can see the sign on the entrance and call the intercom to let them open the door for you. Check in was easy and quick. Very friendly and helpful staff. Booked their small for-1-person room. It is small but everything is just fine. Comfy bed, nice pillow, great amenities. Natural lights from the window. Room also have safe deposit box. Breakfast was limited, if you're coming later, some items are gone and they dont refill it. Varieties are also limited but quite typical european breakfast buffet.
Location is great, walking distance from the train station. Also walking distance to all the city most famous tourist attraction.

The hotel location was very good, near the main attractions in Florence. Great staff at reception with welcoming atmosphere and clean well decorated rooms.

Make sure that the hotel entrance is by stepping 6 floors first then you should go to level 3 by elevator, so at beginning there is no elevator. It’s better to reach at morning or afternoon so at night you don’t get terrified.

The breakfast staff was rude with having unprofessional behavior. When we were eating, she rudely came to our table by saying that breakfast time finishes at 10:00am. I know that breakfast finishes at 10:00am and she said that to us at 10:13am, but her unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. Also, At the same time to make matters worse there was 2 person also eating and she did not approach them nor said to them anything, she just talked to us in unacceptable behavior which is true racism toward us as tourist. It’s better she learns how to respect herself, as I am paying to stay at the hotel as a guest. And when she was walking she was saying things in her language which was not nice.
Everything was good, staff at reception, helping with luggage, all good, but breakfast staff behavior was horrible.
With her unprofessional attitude she ruined the hotel reputation and lowered the hotel rating.

It was very close to the river which was nice to walk along! It had the basics room wise as a single person! But the breakfast was awesome. I could hear every move of the room next to me.. from turning on the sink water to moving around. I slept through it. Just was an observation.

Room & common areas are very clean. Bathroom has everything you need. They change the sheets & pillow cases every day. The staff is helpful. Breakfast while a bit limited has both hot & cold selections.

Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms and a lovely breakfast. The rooms are clean with high ceilings, the hotel is centrally located, near the river and bridge to cross to the other side, giving you lots of options. There is a flight of stairs at the front of the building, it has a small lift to take you up to the reception of the property. If your room is on that level, no need to take additional stairs. However, if your room is located on the higher level, you will need to walk up a small flight of stairs to get there. There are staff to help with luggage during check in and check out.

Central and close to attractions. Staff was very helpful. The security to get inside the hotel is a lot: you have to use an “electronic key” to open the big door ( remains close after 9 pm), then enter the passcode to open the gate. The elevator is SMALL, the stairs to get to the 3rd floor where the hotel is located, didn’t have light ( at least the 1st night we used). The electric connection to use the coffee machine or the kettle didn’t fit the wall, so we have to disconnect the mini fridge while we use any of this 2.
The bathroom was clean but the water kept running if we didn’t pay close attention.
The 4th floor rooms didn’t have access to the elevator so you have to use the stairs ( inconvenient with big luggage).
Breakfast was really good and staff was super super nice.
