Beautiful little palace with a lovely garden and a private entrance. The room was splendid and faced a canal. The staff is courteous. I highly recommend - one of the best hotel experiences! Deserves 4 stars.

The only negative about our stay, was it was only one night! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom and a view of the canal out front. The location is ideal; the place is full of charm with a garden, situated just steps from the academy and the vaporetto stop. The rooms are pleasant and well-decorated, and the bathroom is perfect. The breakfast is very good, served by a very friendly head waiter. I highly recommend this establishment.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right near Place Saint Martin and directly opposite the water bus terminal—super convenient! The decor is tasteful, and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathroom. Very satisfied!

The rooms were surprisingly small; in the triple room, the sofa was unfolded to serve as a bed, and once you opened your suitcase, there was practically no room to stand on the floor. It was close to St. Mark's Square and was easy to find as it was on the street. It was a very clean and nice hotel. The staff were very friendly.

The introduction said that was breakfast included, but it didn’t. Although the receipt showed “no meal included”, it misled the breakfast including when viewing the page and the price.

The room is elegant and spacious, and it's considered a large room on the island of Venice. The bathtub in the bathroom is well-designed, but the door cannot be closed from the outside, which may not be ideal if any odors from the toilet waft into the bedroom. Fantastic location, super close to St Mark’s Square. The staff were super helpful. They provided good recommendations and even had their own app for guests to navigate around. Snacks, such as chocolate and cookies, were also provided daily in the room which was a really lovely touch

This is a wonderful hotel, romantic, centrally located, with a gracious and accommodating staff. The rooftop balcony with service is worth the stay alone. If you visit Venice, treat yourself and stay here.

There was no hot water in the shower. I tried turning the nozzle to hot water but it didn't work.

The view from the rooftop is very nice, the place is great for drinking and chatting, the breakfast options are limited but very unique, and all the staff are very warm and friendly. This hotel is worth recommending for couples.

Hotel was in a great location for us as we wanted to be away from the busy centre of town. Lots of lovely places to eat around the area. Room was very small for 4 people and very basic. A relatively cheaper option in Venice. Rooms were very antique and the condition wasn't the best but still functional. Could be a bit noisy as there is a boat station directly in front of it. Good breakfast and service though. Walking will be quite far from the central area amd train station but there water bus will be a good option from this hotel.

The hotel is good. Happy breakfast. Little away to the center but close to terminal . Just in front of it a water bus station - fantastic. No much amenities, no coffee , but good but short stays, the room is not quiet, you can hear noise from other rooms.

The hotel's location is convenient. It's right in the front of the 5.1/5.2 waterbus route/stop. The kitchen staff are friendly. The cleanliness service needs to be addressed. They rehung two middle size wet/used towels back on the drying rack instead of replacing them with clean ones.

The room was really too small for the three of us (my parents, myself, and the rest of the family); it was difficult to even turn around. However, the location was excellent, situated on the main island, making transportation very convenient. The breakfast was okay, though the selection was limited. The hygiene was decent, and the decor was quite unique.

The room was in the attic with a large, comfortable terrace, but there was no elevator to the top floor; only stairs, so luggage had to be carried by hand. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Excellent value for money! The hotel is centrally located on a lovely piazza, just 7 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast! A highly recommended hotel!

Everything was great, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfect. The only downside was that there was no kettle in the room and no elevator to the third floor.

shaving kit, toothpaste and toothbrush not provide but overall is ok. From the ACTV station to the hotel need to walk around 10minute, If the one with big luggage need to walk across approximately 5 staircase but it is very near with the piazza san marco.

No air conditioning! So hot! The room never cooled off. Couldn’t keep windows open due to risk of birds getting in the room. Lowest bed I’ve ever experienced. Staff was great. Water taxi pickup on checkout day was great! Private transportation services can’t use their dock, only companies the hotel arranges. Breakfast hours started late for tourist with early tours.

The staff and the location were both very good. However, after sleeping in the bed and waking up, I was bitten by mites or some kind of insects and ended up with three swollen spots. They should pay more attention to proper bed making and cleanliness.

Conveniently located near the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. There's no elevator, but they carried my luggage up to my room. The room was small, but clean and cute, and even the teapot was clean. The heating was on and the shower water was excellent. The view from the window was of a wall, but the location was great, so it was acceptable for the price.

This was a very clean hotel. Climbing three flights of stairs was a bit challenging, but that's to be expected in Venice. Still, its proximity to the station was a big help. Breakfast was an additional charge, but enjoying a delicious meal with a view of the canal made it well worth it.

Hotel just opposite the train station which very convenient. If you have big luggage, alternative I advise u to store at the train station. At the train station, there is porter to help carry your luggage for 5/luggage to your hotel so you don’t need to drag over the bridges. And from hotel to train station, porter usually charge 10euro.

The hotel was  centrally located, and can’t say enough about the staff who were friendly and very helpful with directions, maps, and suggestions.  Our room was clean and well kept, a little older and have to say the 3 star was fairly rated.  That said, we would stay here again.  Staff and location would win the day.

The hotel is well-located, and the reception staff were helpful and polite. Downsides of the stay: the room was small, cleanliness wasn't great, and the soundproofing between rooms was poor. The luggage storage is self-service with no staff supervision.

The hotel is very close to St. Mark's Square, and it's also a short walk to the Accademia Bridge for sunrise in the morning. The room was small and cozy. I was initially worried the duvet was too thin, but the air conditioning kept the room perfectly warm, so there was no need to worry. The only issues were that the shower water temperature was a bit low and the shower head was a little clogged. Also...

Stayed at Rosa Salva hotel in Venice which was beautiful. The room is very spacious and warm. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well, helping us to safekeep our luggages after check out and also giving us directions. Had such a great time in Venice and at this hotel with my husband.

The room was lovely and exactly like the pictures. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The hotel team were great and even recommended and booked a restaurant for us before we arrived in Venice.

Nice location, quiet and has a couple of cute neighborhood cats around! Restaurant prices nearby are also one of the cheaper ones compared to more touristy spots at San Macro for example. Staff members are also generally friendly. Simple but sufficient free breakfast daily too. There are 2 ferry service lines to San Macro, so that's pretty accessible!

Decent room, nicely decorated, warm. Living here can avoid the crowds. Line 2 and line 4.1 4.2 can get you everywhere including the islands . Just the toilet sometimes leaked but can be fixed. Room a bit small, need to move the furnitures if u want to open a 28inch luggage. Breakfast incl but just so so, not much choices .

Was very clean. Staff was extremely helpful. There is breakfast available for a charge on the stairs. I do recommend staying on the fourth floor for the views of the city are incredible. Also noteworthy if you taxi in you will have about a 30 minute walk if you come by sea taxi it’s only about five you’re about 10 to 15 minute walk from the main plaza everything that Venice has the offer

Location is great, and the room was clean. No kettle to do some coffee in the morning. During the night I felt that something bites me. I have many bites all over my body, arranged in a line. On my hands, legs, and arms. I’ve never seen anything like it and I am worried it could be bed bugs bites!

La Calcina hotel was perfect for our needs. Quiet, boutiquey hotel away from the bustling area of San Marco, but very conveniently located! Easy walking to all the sights and restaurants. Waterbus station right there. Food was very good. We will definitely stay here again!

We have been going to La Calcina for years and have enjoyed each stay. The property has excellent location with fantastic views of the Guidecca canal. It is located in a relatively quiet area of Venice and yet has easy access to all the main sites. The staff is very friendly and the rooms have a lot of the old world charm.

Best little gem in Venice, great views, friendly! We absolutely loved this little gem, just off the beaten path in Venice but still on a canal with spectacular views. A short walk brings you to the thick of things in central Venice, where hotels like this would fetch three times the price. The staff was so welcoming, we didn't want to leave!

Very hard to find the rooms - it’s a maze. The photos online, whilst technically accurate, don’t entirely reflect the actual result. They are renovating the lobby so access is not the best and almost no space in the lift for people and luggage. Great staff who were very helpful

The area / location was great! Close to water taxi and walkable to all attractions. Bed is comfy and bathroom is remodeled. The staff was helpful. The rooms do not look like the pictures at all. It says they have air conditioning but they do not , staff stated it had been broken for 60 days. We did ask at booking and they stated they did have A/C. No screens so couldn't open windows. Property was in an excellent location on a quiet street, staff was knoweledgablw and very helpful. Rooms could use some updating.( small damge to walls etc...) inluded breakfast that we were carged for and not allowed to decline left something to be desired. My family and I were here for 1 night on 16th of February. Upon check in we were kindly greeted. Check in was smooth and efficient. We were able to check in early and that was perfect after our 4 hour train ride from Rome. Be aware that there is no lift/elevator. The hotel is located in a perfect spot, but the rooms need maintenance. The service has to be updated as well - too many people at breakfast, some rooms too small and not well maintained

Queue for breakfast was long. I was told I had to pay the room tax in cash but I had no cash. Cash was not mentioned in my booking. Wanted to pay by card but had to get cash. Mosquitoes in my room on first night. Lift wasn’t working on the day I checked out yet no one told me of this and there was no offer to help me with my bags. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet.
