Only slightly negative thing I have to say is that there is no elevator in the building but that also adds to the charm to an extent.
Absolutely BEAUTIF hotel and rooms. We had a wonderful stay, they very close to water taxis, shopping, the Rialto bridge, restaurants and a little local grocer. Staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast is magnificent. We would definitely stay here again.
Superb Enjoyed our time in Venice, breakfast was superb, hot and cold dishes to choose from, we had bacon and eggs, fruit salad with yoghurt, even traditional cakes to eat, plus the lovely hot cappuccino, rooms were lovely with a comfortable queen size bed, nice big shower area too, highly recommended.
This was the most beautiful hotel room that I’ve ever stayed in. It made you feel like royalty it was so nice. Highly recommend.
Fantastic Hotel. I have just returned from a weekend stay in one of the deluxe rooms. I could find no fault at all. The room was spotless and very comfortable with fantastic views over the canal. The staff were also fantastic, very professional and helpful. I will definitely book here agian when i return to Venice.
Excellent hotel! Cleanliness, polite staff! Close to all attractions!

Good location, reasonable price, breakfast average (we got sick after eating the eggs, so maybe avoid eatting boiled eggs from there)
Very near to the station, but the elevator was small and slow. However, the front desks were kind & friendly.
The elevator was quite charming, and the environment was excellent, right next to the train station. You can store your luggage and borrow utensils, and the service is fantastic. The area around is very convenient with a supermarket nearby.
The location is excellent. just beside Venezia Santa Lucia station, which made it very convenient for travel. Check-in was smooth, and they offered complimentary luggage storage, which was a nice touch. I didn’t get to try the included breakfast since I had to leave early for my packed itinerary. However, the elevator doesn’t reach the top floor where our room was, so we had to carry our luggage up...
Smiles and warm smiles greetings are not included in price! Room was clean EXCEPT shower head full of green and white. Nice location 2 min away from train station. Quiet alley.
the hotel is very near at the train station, the elevator is too slow, our room is spacious and we have a balcony, the hotel looks old and needs to be renovated, but we enjoyed our 2night stay, good breakfast and very nice hotel receptionist, overall if you are looking for an affordable and convenient location hotel agli artisti is fot you✌️

Without a doubt the most beautiful hotel we have stayed in. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere matched the stunning location. 5 stars all day...we miss the place already. There was a heatwave across Italy so the air conditioning was a life saver. Fantastic view, Calm morning coffees looking out onto the canals with passers by waving as we smiled ans relaxed. We spent five nights at Console Palais in late July 2025 with our extended family of six, including one person using a wheelchair, and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. From the moment we booked, Catarina (the owner) was incredibly helpful—answering logistical questions, helping us plan our arrival, and making sure everything was ready for our group. The whole staff was lovely, and we...
We were taken care of so well from the time we arrived until we left. Beautiful room overlooking the canal. Spacious and it felt as if we had most of tv e spaces to ourselves. Quiet, and well appointed spaces. Our visit to Venice was made the more pleasant by the owners of Console Palais- Catarina, her husband and their son Alvise were always available to help from recommending restaurants, finding...
I visited Locanda Ca del Console with my dad as he lives in Germany and I live in the US and decided to meet in Venice. We could not thank Ca' del Console enough for a wonderful stay and experience! Everyone that works at this hotel was very helpful due to the Fall my wife had 2 hours after we arrived in Venice on Oct. 08, 2024. They allowed me to use their phone and computer as much as I needed. Today is Oct.17th and she is still in the hospital at this time with no release date being mentioned at this time

The room felt smaller than what we booked, but they insisted it was the room type we reserved. The toilet and the room were only separated by a curtain, with no door, offering zero privacy. So, when you book, remember to specify you don't want this room type. Breakfast had very limited options.
The hotel front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. We had an early train to catch, and they thoughtfully packed breakfast for us to take on the go. The environment was clean, the location was convenient, and it was nice and quiet.
Clean room and delicious breakfast
Beautifully clean, welcoming, and modern hotel (a rarity in Venice!). Located right next to the train station, it's perfect for exploring the city.
The hotel's location is pretty good, very close to the train station. However, upon checking in, I realized the hotel directly across the street was 40% cheaper. I'm not sure why Ctrip didn't show me that one initially when I searched. The room was quite spacious, but I wasn't a fan of the layout. The bed faced the bathroom door directly, and the bathroom door was a full-length mirror, which was a...
The room was tiny and quite cold, which was a shame because the location right next to the train station was excellent. The breakfast was very basic, and given it was Carnival, the price was ridiculously inflated! Definitely not good value for money. Next time, I'd rather stay in Mestre; a 10-minute train ride to the main island would be much more cost-effective.

We had a wonderful stay at Al Codega! We loved the staff, room, breakfast, and location. I would definitely stay there again.
Venice has the narrowest alleyways and it was quite hard to locate this hotel, with Google Maps sending us around in circles. The location is excellent, in the heart of the city. It is 15 minutes walking from the train station. The room is okay. It's a bit old but clean. The mattress is not comfortable.
Great stay! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel’s location is definitely its best feature. Being in such a central area of Venice made it very easy to get around the city, and that was what I enjoyed the most during my stay. The hotel is well-located on the island; you can easily walk to any spot from here. There are cafes nearby. The room was clean with an Italian vibe. The street isn't too noisy. The day after checking out, I went for a walk and left my bags at reception, and the staff was very accommodating. I really liked the hotel! The room was small, but it had all the necessary amenities.
The hotel is ancient, but the location is excellent.
The hotel itself is nice, but the building is very old. They told us our room had just been renovated, but the bathroom sink wouldn't drain properly (we mentioned it, but nothing changed). The wall outlet next to the bed was completely broken, just a black hole. The bathroom was so small you couldn't even sit comfortably on the toilet. Room and location was very nice. I was a little disappointed with the service but okay.
The location is perfect, right in the city center, but the building is quite dated, and everything rests in the capable hands of Speranza. She's a truly incredible woman, incredibly dedicated to her work and takes care of all the essential functions of the facility. But there's not even soap in the bathroom. Luckily, there's a market right behind it.
My wife and I came from Canada and spent the night in September at this hotel. The front desk manager Shrepsa made us feel welcomed and she made sure our stay was great. I highly recommend anyone visiting Venice to stay there.
A Bit Iffy Small room, which I expected. No soap, bad wiring (dangerous?), and loose faucet in bathroom. Seemed clean enough, but was warm and AC didn’t work well.
What was bad is that if you arrive after 3pm nobody is going to open the door of the hotel. You need to wait somebody (customer) to arrive so you can get in, and take the keys that are in an envelope with your name. You can be waiting there 40 mins. Other bad thing is that you don't have soap or shampoo in the room, so be aware of that and take it with you from home
I don't know who writes bad reviews, because everything was just great! This is a wonderful clean hotel with a great location! Google maps when navigating show the location of the hotel a little incorrectly, in fact, the building is next door, so I advise you to pay attention to the large sign above. In terms of location to attractions: Rialto is 8 minutes, San Marco is 15 minutes, Palazzo Contarini...

We arrived by water taxi, into the hotels dock. It was expensive, but worth it for the experience. Lovely Hotel, would stay again. All the staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were palatial. High ceilings, great bed and bathroom. Area around the hotel was perfect.
A five star experience for sure. Such lovely staff - they made us feel so special and welcome and were so helpful with suggestions for dining, entertainment, and transportation. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the canal view rooms are worth every penny. Great central location - it was an easy walk to anywhere we wanted to go. Wish we could have stayed longer!
An unforgettable stay at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel! The room was stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally comfortable. This is an amazing place to stay in Venice right by the Canale Grande. Everything was perfect except for the breakfast, which was very average and well below our expectations for such a hotel. This could be improved to live up to rest of this great venue.
The hotel is located directly in front of the river, with river transport conveniently accessible at the entrance. Great location and very cute spot, but the toilet didn’t flush (had to lift the back off each time to get it work), and there were nights without any water coming out of the shower. Other than that though, it’s a very cute spot, and the owner was very responsive.
Great location in the heart of venice and the service was very polite. Wonderful small hotel close to all attractions. I had a lovely room with a canal view! The free coffee in the lobby is a huge plus. Delicious coffee! Highly recommend this place.
We visited Venice for Christmas and stayed here in an annex apartment. It’s a 5 minute walk from Rialto bridge and St Mark’s Square. The apartment was perfect for our family of two adults and two children with two separate rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Although we stayed in the Anex building (in the anex itself) the staff were super helpful and welcoming. The room itself was as you may expect in Venice, on the smaller side but it was a perfect location to explore from, just be warned if you book the (cheaper) anex room it is up 3 flights of stairs and the final set you may have to duck/crouch up and down them.
This hotel is now part of Hotel Bella Venezia. Our place consisted of an apartment overlooking Campo San Luca and was amazing. Very specious apartment with lots of amenities. Amazing value for the price of a room. Service and staff from Bella Venezia was very helpful and accommodating. We were able to leave our luggage after check-out and use the hotel facilities before it was time to leave Venice
We stayed here 2018. So amazing. Service was great as well.

Excellent! We got the room with the view of the Grand Canal and it was totally worth it. Full service European breakfast. And included a taxi ride to Marano, which is also a must see. We actually walked here from the main parking area. But you can also take a motoscafi or water taxi.
