Hotels in Venice

The staff were friendly, but the facilities were quite old. The bedding was clean, but the heater was dusty, and the bathroom constantly leaked. If the location is good and you can afford this facility, I'd recommend staying for a night or so.

It was only one night, but it was enough. The carpets were dirtier than anything else. I asked for a large bed and they gave me two small ones. It smelled very damp. The lobby was in the restaurant, and to get to the room, you had to go outside and walk about 100 meters. The mattress sagged just by looking at it. There were no blinds, and a lot of light came in.

Considering the location, service, and other factors, it was a good price overall. It's very conveniently located near the Salute boat stop. The area is also home to many locals, so it's quiet and safe. The boat stop and supermarket are both within a 5-minute walk! When booking a room, I recommend booking one on the first floor or higher, not the ground floor.

The room was fine; for the price, it had the basics. The service wasn't the best; it could be better. Overall, it was fine.

The place is okay, nothing extravagant. Small, old rooms but decent services. I enjoyed the breakfast there, its not the biggest selection of food, but its just enough to find something that you'll enjoy and some nice coffee to start the day. Its a good place to stay in Venice if you don't want to spend lots of money on other fancier places.

Just looked at so many negative reviews here. I lived during Dec 2019. The rooms were a bit old but that's not a problem. I didn't have any problems sleeping there. I'm pretty sure there's breakfast too. The best part is the location which is right next to a canal.

First of all make sure where the hotel is located and try to not rely on Google maps cause the GPS doesn't work well in Venice. We enjoyed our stay in Venice at 40.17 San Marco. The location was PERFECT as it was near all the restaurants and shopping off the square. I loved how there was gondola boats right outside our building which made it easy to travel the canals and see Venice from the waterways. The accommodations were clean and spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfetto! This was the best stay among our trips in Italy. Squeaky clean room, good quality bed, friendly customer service, and they have safe practice by monitoring the guests by webcam during after working hours. Basically we had good night sleep there. Will definitely go back if we visit Venice again! :)

Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli is a superb hotel. Our suite facing the Grand Canal was wonderful. The staff was friendly and always went out of their way to make you feel special. Highly recommend this hotel that is looked in a great location away from the crowds of Venice.

Great location, close to the Rialto bridge! Very friendly staff that so graciously made restaurant recommendations and reservations for us! The only downside was the beds were VERY firm, and caused us not to get much sleep during our stay.

Wonderful Stay in Venice. We enjoyed our stay. Good location. The front desk attendant was very helpful. Very quiet and dark for sleeping. Recently renovated room with modern but small bathroom. Two minute walk to Grand Canal and 5 minutes to St. Mark’s Square. However, the bed is very uncomfortable. Very hard. Also very steep stairs.

Excellent overall! The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from St. Mark's Square and Zaccaria pier. It's a very good hotel; the rooms come with a mini-fridge and hairdryer, and the water pressure is good. Simple breakfast options are available, and they offer luggage storage.

We had the standard room on the 4th floor and it felt very cozy. Room was comfortable and clean. Definitely has more of a budget feel, if that's something you don't mind. Recommended to arrive before 7 pm as they said no one will be at the reception after that time. It was tucked away in a quiet alley in between busier streets with shopping and restaurants. It is placed conviniently in the center of Venice. A little hard to find but you can use google maps. It is quiet and offers a great price for the value.

Staff were nice and accommodating especially front desk. Bfast food was great! Can do with some fruits. Site was just a little difficult t find. Also perhaps amenities as dental kits and slippers can be made available? Otherwise..a pleasant stay

Very nice hotel. Around it is very much shops. I feel there, like I am an king. Owner is kind. I think that I'll come back to that hotel. Price is very low, so you don't have to be rich to feel like konk or queen! Its in middle of Venice, not longer than 5 minutes away from sant. Marcos square!

We had a suite with a balcony and a canal view – absolutely amazing! The room was spacious. Yes, the furniture is a bit old, but it adds to its charm. We walked quickly from the train station. A complimentary bottle of sparkling wine was a nice touch!

It would be better if bottled water, slippers, coffee, tea, etc. were provided.

The hotel is very well located, within walking distance of all the attractions. It's a beautiful old palace. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and a shower with excellent water pressure. The staff is friendly and allowed us to leave our backpacks until checkout time. 24 hours in Venice! Fantastic stay in Hotel Marte. Walkable from the train station. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They even held onto our bags after we’d checked out. Hotel is clean and comfortable.

I was delighted with my stay at Locanda. I came with my family, and the room was very comfortable, decorated with art and decor reminiscent of old Venice. The service was excellent. It's true that the entrance looks like it's under construction, but once you go up to the third floor, everything is beautiful, and there's a terrace.

The hotel is conveniently located near Venice's main island train station, easily reachable on foot. The room was spacious enough, and the breakfast offered a rich variety of food. Plus, luggage storage is available!

Our booking to Hotel Canal changed to Hotel Amadeus despite our reservation confirmation. In Hotel Amadeus, the luminisce in the room was low, No Shampoo, No electric water heating Kettle, not perfectly clean, no dinner service.No body-wash hanger it was lying on the floor. The wooden shutters were not good, they could not be darkened. The window closed badly. The wifi didn't work. The TV didn't work. The toilet seat was sliding. The bathroom was very neglected.

Only slightly negative thing I have to say is that there is no elevator in the building but that also adds to the charm to an extent.

Absolutely BEAUTIF hotel and rooms. We had a wonderful stay, they very close to water taxis, shopping, the Rialto bridge, restaurants and a little local grocer. Staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast is magnificent. We would definitely stay here again.

Superb Enjoyed our time in Venice, breakfast was superb, hot and cold dishes to choose from, we had bacon and eggs, fruit salad with yoghurt, even traditional cakes to eat, plus the lovely hot cappuccino, rooms were lovely with a comfortable queen size bed, nice big shower area too, highly recommended.

Fantastic Hotel. I have just returned from a weekend stay in one of the deluxe rooms. I could find no fault at all. The room was spotless and very comfortable with fantastic views over the canal. The staff were also fantastic, very professional and helpful. I will definitely book here agian when i return to Venice.

Its very near to the drop off point for the waterbus which is pretty convenient especially if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The property has basic amenities and makes for a decent stay.

Clean and well presented. Some wear and tear in the room but that doesn't bother us. As long as we have a comfortable bed and a clean place to rest and refresh we are happy. Locanda del Ghetto offered just that. It's a lovely little place on a quiet square away from the crowds. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. We would stay her again for sure.

The room itself was clean and the bathroom big enough, but the beds are super uncomfortable. They put two single beds together to create a double bed, so it was already super uncomfortable and also had that gap between them. We left earlier because we couldn’t stand the beds anymore. Other than that, location was good, walk distance from everything. Really good restaurant and shops around.

The room was very nice but I was not prepared for all of the up and down stairs with 100lb of luggage! I would definitely stay here again but would plan it with a small backpack and/or carry on, not when I’m traveling for a month and going on a cruise! It was also challenging to find.

You need to contact the property via WhatsApp before check-in, but it's okay if they answer immediately. The toilet had an unpleasant odor, which wasn't great. However, the location is convenient and close to the street.
